  • moral of the story? dont go through that big door in the attic that should not have been put there regardless of whether it leads into a doll house or not, because its a safety issue or else you will get turned into michael jackson.

  • I thought it was going to turn out that the aunt was evil.

  • the beat one so farrrr i love ayaotd

  • the door leads to the fiery depths of mordor now. slapbet.

  • I think this was my favorite episode

  • Meh this one was okay. The title sort of doesn't fit the story.

My top 3 favorite are Dead Man's Float, Quicksilver, and The Bookish Babysitter.

  • yeah... where would it lead to? and why didn't the henderson's house catch fire as well?

  • Is it me or is does this episode have the same plot as the tale of the lonely ghost

  • Best episode

  • @rayjack2437 thanx for posting these, brings back so many good memories of my childhood. My sister and I used to pop popcorn and watch these at night. We would also record them on those old vhs tapes, and replay them over and over and eat pop corn. I think we still have a few of them.

  • uncle pete is freakin hilarious

  • I have my My Size barbie dressed just like susan!

  • hoot

  • This was always my favorite episode! I don't think i'll ever forget it

  • meh i'm a little dissapointed lol; i thought there was gonna be some creepy old person who actually made dolls out of people haha! turns out the dollhouse was the dollmaker...

  • this show is awesome whether your 12 or 22

  • I always wondered why Susan is still wearing the doll's clothes when she gets out of the house. She's obviously not a doll anymore, so why is she still wearing that doll's dress? I hope that's not how she dresses all the time.

  • @MissMom4evr That was her nightgown of course! Not doll clothes.

  • @MissMom4evr maybe its a night gown

and she first entered at night

  • >u< Yay, she's safe!

  • Why exactly is this episode titled "The Tale of the Dollmaker"? A dollmaker never shows up.

  • @DuracellEnergizer It's probably referring to the dollhouse

  • @DuracellEnergizer I think the dollhouse was in a way the dollmaker - if you stayed inside long enough, it would make you into a doll

  • I was such a pussy for being scared of this as a kid.

  • oops my man is signed inn im foxy_sara_1449

  • my favorite episode! wow

  • I will never look at a doll house the same way again

  • This one was totally my favorite episode of AYAOTD. I miss this show among other classic shows of the 90's. Kids today don't know what they have missed. Can't stand the majority of shows they have out for kids now a days.

  • Would the door even still exist if the dollhouse was destroyed? I mean, the thing was the portal to the dollhouse, so wouldn't it just disappear?

  • @MaakaKarin17 Good point.

  • this was my fav episode of ayaotd =D

  • This one was my favorite! Still is.

  • I love this show! I used to watch it in the early 90's when I was like 5 years old. So much better than the crap on kids TV these days! The mummy episode is my favorite.

  • Err wouldn't the door just lead outside now that the dollhouse is gone? I thought that was an obvious one, Betty Ann

  • ...sooo who put that doll house there in the first place? freakin creepy man seriously e____o

  • the girl went looking for susan and fell off a cliff. this is all a hallucination that she's having as she inches closer to death by starvation on a rocky edge

  • maybe thats why porcelin dolls freak me out

  • I almost didn't click on this video cause' I thought the still was of Seinfeld.

  • @xxhittmanxx Now they have all these weird Mystery Hunters, Or Truth or Scare :/

  • What kind of parents are these people?

  • i always had this weird crush on the guy with the glasses

  • @maishizzleohshiz How could you not? Gary was sexy ;)

  • @maishizzleohshiz lol Me, too! But then again, I've always liked the nerds...

  • That attic door was like a portal to another dimension, trippy shit. Wonder if they ever got the uncle for arson?

  • k so... why build that retarded door in the attic in the first place. and all that girl had to do was tip over the bookshelf but she never did...

  • Susan looks like Bjork.

  • whichi is scaryer this goose bumps or the nightmare room?

  • @Ander0072original this then goosebumps then nightmare room.

  • @pongo5000 what was nightmare room?

  • @serpico89 another old tv show similar to goosbumps, it's based on another series of horror books by R.L Stine (author of goosebumps) it's okay but I found it more funny than scary, it had some famous people like cole and dylan sprouse and amanda bynes.

  • OK, people, answer me this: Is it just me or... is the modern movie Coraline and this 90s story very similar? because they strike as exactly that: very similar... is it just me? ... and if not... how come they're so similar? could Neil Gaiman have been influenced by Are you afraid of the dark?

  • @bbphnix Quite a lot of directors seem to be. M. Night Shyamalan was influenced by 'The Tale of the Dream Girl' and wrote 'The Sixth Sense'. It wouldn't surprise me if Coraline had influences from this episode.

  • LOL. Betty Ann said, "Whole 'nother."

    :P

  • This story wasnt that bad for a doll story.

  • I'll bet the doll has more wood than Tucker

  • That's a whole 'nother story...

    rotfl

  • OMG! I didn't know that Amanda Walsh played Susan =O

  • Tuck played the "butter your muffin" kid in Mean Girls.

  • @guitarded202 HAHAHAHHA OMG YOU'RE EFFING RIGHT!!

  • @guitarded202

Daniel DeSanto, he played Jason =]

  • : )

  • Wow this used to be one of favorite episodes of AYAOTD...Those stories were the scariest things in life for me when little xD hahaha but I have to confess, although years have passed, I still love this show hehe :p

  • susan is really good at acting.

  • wow....this had me freaking out as a kid? haha man this is so lame now! but I'm still glad a watched it.

  • @MISSBARBI3 whats lame are the shows on tv now

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • I agree! today's shows are so lame and boring and they totally lack of creativity...well not all of them but the majority....

  • @akarc24 i agree the shows now are all kill kill kill or sing sing sing with no real interesting plots

  • that a whole another story meaning...we`ll see.

  • I can't believe this shit scared me when I was little

  • when you were little?? I'm 24 and this shit's still scary!!!!

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 you know, I also used to watch this when I was little and now I'm 19; this used to be top 10 most scariest movie/episode of a series in my life; but now... after seeing again after...8-10 years... it doesn't really scare me that much; I would've thought it would still pack a punch; turns out... it's creepy but not scary; and mysterious.... makes you wonder where that doll house was from...

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 right? i'm 27, and some of these eps, im like jesus, looking at them as an adult i can still say there were some creepy ass episodes, at least it gives me a smile to know i was watching good television, unlike kids today looking back on hannah montana or some crap 10 years from now and being embarrassed they even liked it lol

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 u realy think this was scary?

  • I got the chills like 4 times hahah

  • creeeepy.

    dollhouse were never the same..

n when her hand falls off... ugh.

  • God, I just don't know how to feel about this show. I used to lov it when I was little but now I see how horribly cheesy it is...but it's still enjoyable...how?

  • Good episode

  • I think we all remember this episode because cause I can honestly saw it was maybe rerunned twice. I even wrote a letter way back to stick sticky requesting this episode. He did read a letter requesting are you afraid of the dark. It was not mine but They did play this episode and it was a week after I sent the letter so maybe they heard me out LOL.

  • Stick Stickly FTW

  • i remember this one like scenes from it and i never knew what it was called or anything!!!

  • thanks! I loved this one as a kid. I watched a lot of them but this one was the only one that really ever stuck out to me and creeped me out the most, I think bc it had so many unanswered questions like who made the doll house and why was it there and all of that, so I used to imagine all these horrible things and scare myself silly! lol thanks again!

  • one of the best episodes

  • lol tuckers my fave character

  • holy cow, this has got to be one of the coolest episodes, I remember worshipping this when I was a small boy

  • I thought there was a part where she melted into the floor and wall sorta... hmm...

  • alternate dimensional holes.

    nice.

the way they jumped out the window. they were sure to break their legs.

  • i love this episode... so much like something from The Twilight Zone.

  • her aunt and uncle are so irresponsible

  • Isn't Melissa the voice of Phoebe in The Magic School Bus???

  • that is weird.. why would a house have a door in the attic that leads to nowhere. .that is a bit dangerous.. and really messed up

  • I've seen houses like that. They provide really good scary story ideas!

  • is having a door up there even necessary?

just like in the show.. it seems kinda dangerous..

what if a baby got the door knob loose and fell down =\

  • It would probably die, that's what would happen.

  • yeah, tell me about it..

i want to know what is the point of making those doors that lead to nowhere.. if there was a balcony there, that would be a bit better.

  • the Winchester house has doors that lead to nowhere :D

  • what the hell. whats the point in that =O

  • To confuse the ghosts that haunted her duh. :]

  • ya i been to that house. Its creepy but beautiful. theres an interesting story behind it involving evil spirits

  • Winchester as in Supernatural?

  • "To confuse the ghosts that haunter HER."

    I guess not.

  • Winchester as in Sarah Winchester.

  • @Dani3Tears yea thats just a weird house.

  • I actually remembered this one..

  • this kids voice is annoying...also guilty of breaking and entering

  • wait a min, shouldn't susan be missing her hand since it melissa never put it back on b4 they jumped out the window? it should be a bloody thing in her pocket lol :S

  • Comment removed

  • susan was pretty

  • yeah but it's to her benefit that she should wear make-up alot!

  • so...if she puts susan's hand in her pocket, wouldn't there be a severed hand in there when they turn back to normal?

  • i laughed so hard when her hand fell off and all she said was "ooops" lol.

  • haha so did i

  • Yo, I remember this episode 'till 2day!Thank you for postin' this. This was one of my favorite episodes.

  • This was my favorite episode when I was a kid. Thanks SO much for uploading this one!

  • lol, I actually remember it being more dramatic when I was a child....but it's still fantastic to see this particular episode again. Thank you for uploading it!!

  • the aunt is annoying as shit. she over dramatizes her words as an actress

  • susan was prettier as a doll lol

  • i agree :)

  • Wow, I love how people downrated this. Lame. I also agree that Susan looks better as a doll.

  • So what did you do at the weekend?

-Ahh nothin', just broke into a house and my friend had been made into a doll.

    Oooh, ok... see you around.

  • lmao

  • Absolut187: No, the kid that plays Squints is Chauncey Leopardi. The kid that plays Tucker from the Midnight Society is Daniel DeSanto, who was also in Mean Girls...assuming you saw Mean Girls.

  • i remmember the tucker kid from the goosebumps episode, revenge of the mummy, he made this really funny looking scream when he saw a skull. check out the episode, he had such horrible acting

  • the kid at 2:53....is that squints from the sandlot????

  • Dolls are kickass.

  • This was the creepiest episode. It was always my favorite cause it was so weird.

  • I love this story... ^_^ Thanks for posting it!!!

  • This was like the episode I remembered most as a kid, and I was so scared of it! For some reason though, I remember it being longer and them having more of a struggle getting out of the house. haha, oh, well.! I conquered my fear of this episode! yay me!

  • This was one of my faves yet scared me a little. This was the only one I could bare when I was four years old. The intro scared the hell out of me.

  • omg me too. i remember this one the most and i swear it was longer too haha

  • jajajajajajaja

  • which episode is that when this old man likes this young black girl and he makes himself younger?

  • Man I loved this Doll Maker episode as a kid, even though it creeped me out hardcore. I'm 21 and still love it! But to answer your question, you're talking about 'The Tale Of The Captured Souls'. It's on youtube. Creepy, but also really funny. There's just some Michael Jackson-ish vibes and the old man's seeming to mack on the girl is hilarious lol.

  • Oh I see, lol. For me that was the definitive episode that's stuck with me as a kid

Thanks for the info too (^_^)

  • i remembered this episode by seeing the swing and the big house and something about a doll, thank you so much for posting this episode, i know that I loved being a 90's kid!!! Best shows on tv in the 90's now all of the kids shows are so lame.
