  • omg thx, now i can instal crysis on my other Disc, my C: disc is full :(

    thx alot

  • It kinda messes up with your programs already installed to C:\Program Files. It will change their target to whatever you selected, they will still work though but most of their icons won't appear anymore in the start menu, quick launch or desktop. Plus, now I have "Movie Maker", "MSN Gaming Zone" and other empty folders which magically appeared in my D:\Gaming. :D

  • Thx man!!!

  • Thank you so much... It helps me a lot. More power!

  • T H A N K S M A N !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is there a way I can change this during windows setup so that All of my programs are in a different folder?

  • No, thats why I made this video.

  • i still dont understand what this does....arent you just changing C:/ to F:/ and etc???? Is there benefits to doing this to my laptop?

  • If you are running out of space on C:\ becasue you aways install things on it, you can make the default another drive (incase you forget) to do a custom install of a application.

  • Sweetness!

  • I love you!!!

i've been looking for this for YEARS.

-_-; well actually never even looked for it, because i didn't know it was possible.

    THANK YOU!

  • interesting.....

  • cool tip, next time ill use it cuz i dont want my current programs in that folder xD

    nice tip bro =)

BTW, how do u change the folder "my music" with another folder in another hard disc?, i mean the button on "start", cuz once i change the route but didnt work well

  • Damn how many HD's do u got "F:\" ^^

  • could be something called disk partitioning, this can be specified easily on a windows install, each partition can act as a separate harddrive, yet they will need to be formatted separately

their are partitioning tools if you look for them.

  • oww right.. i dint thought of that ^^

  • doesn't necessarily mean hes got multiple HD's he could have partitioned one big one

  • hey very nice tip!

i always wondered how to do this, :]

    i'll sup too

  • Good info for windows users but I have never been wronged by my Macbook :D

  • Not shabby at all. So could I possibly install to a USB drive? That would be interesting.

  • Nice, never thought of doing that, thanks for the video dude.

  • pretty nice actually, if you have like your own way to organize your comp

  • hmmm. never thought of that before

  • Cool this may come in handy if it does I now know were to find it thanks.

  • Cool! It'd be more useful if someone made a program for this. :s

  • Is it possible to change the folder of a program which you have already installed? I'd imagine you could do that with regedit..? For example, I've had Crysis installed to "D:\gamea" for a while now, it's really annoying (installed it in a hurry and don't want to install it again) x) I tried to change my Call Of Duty 4 folder through regedit but the game wouldn't uninstall after that..

  • It is possible, but in some cases doing that makes the program not work. So I dont recommend it. BEst you save your games, then un-install it and re-install the game to the new dir.

  • Alright, thanks for the quick reply. It's just so very very annoying to install stuff like modern videogames, it takes an eternity.

  • Thnxs , awsome

  • nice!
