I love these classic game show themes from the 1980's, especially the $25,000 Pyramid, Tic Tac Dough, and Match Game, I wish that Tic Tac Dough could be brought back with a new set, but have the same classic theme, and maybe Wink Martindale could host the show, like old times, that would be really cool, I think. :)
Does anyone know the name of the early 80's game show that featured children that answered questions? The contestant would have to guess what the child would say?!!! Loved that show, and I forgot what it was called. It was not "Kids Say the Darndest Things". It was a game show!!
@MeltonFamilyTX I think I know the game show you're talking about. I'm pretty sure it was on the Family Channel, right? It kin of worked like the Newlywed game, where 2 siblings would be on each group, and 1 would go backstage while the other one answered questions, then they'd bring the other one out and see what they'd say. I think it was called "I'm Telling!"
@SabreFan84 Nope. It was from the late 70s, early 80s. Family Channel didn't even exist. It was on network TV, and the adult contestants had to pick a child, and hope that the child picked the correct answer for the question. The children would say the funniest things, and they often had the same kids appear. It may have been hosted by the same person that hosted Tic Tac Dough.
Not quite what I expected for game show tunes, but enjoyable. Thanks for posting. And BTW: Greatest show of all time??? Pyramid?? PLZ! Pyramid was great, but Scrabble was better. Sale of the century Rocked. But the greatest game show of all? That's easy, and I'm sure most of American will agree with me. It is, "Wheel Of Fortune."
Get Ready to Match The Stars, Michael Landon, Brett Sommers, Charles Nelson Reilley, Nipsey Russell, Richard Dawson, and Fannie Flagg, as we play the Big Money MATCH GAME! and now here's the star of Match Game, GENE RAYBURN!
