@RichardElden Nice to see the acting tradition of one type of judging someone to be a good actor has made its way in the mainstream. I was taught that too. But I still say it's only one of the ways of judgement you can't be so quick and make the complex easy, people tried in the past and the fall down.
@RichardElden He lived to 82, he had it pretty good. In that way I'm glad. I don't wish any ghastly crap on humans. If you want the facts, we aren't meant to wish such stuff either.
Carole Landis is pathetic, that she was so stupid to have a love affair with a married man, doesn't mean she's so pathetic to commit suicide when Harrison made a totally rational decision. Rex Harrison is not a murderer, Landis is however, she killed herself. So stop twisting facts andbeing sad and pathetic. And just accept he was a great actor.
He talks like Stewie, but doesn't sound like him. But I do hear them use that voice a lot in Family Guy, usually when making fun of other British characters
@JuanMacready Just like you should be blacklisted from Youtube. Shut the freak up! If you don't like Rex Harrison, keep your opinions to yourself and stop watching every single Rex Harrison video! I mean, come on! That should be common sense!
Agreed. That should have ended his career right then and there. Except he wasn't really a great actor, he had a limited range and could only play one part.
Well filmwise he did have a big comeback in My Fair Lady, but both Dr Dolittle and Staircase were big flops when they were released so his stardom was over. He still acted on Broadway.
@TinkerbellPixie25 Harrison was a horrible human being. Read his ex wives books. I've read many accounts on the Landis suicide and the general consensus is that she was indeed alive when he found her. He even says in his Autobiography that he thought he felt a breath. It's possible he made a sweep of the house before calling the authorities to find any incriminating evidence such as letters he wrote to her. In doing so if she was alive she expired while he was covering his tracks.
I love how Seth Macfarlane used Rex Harrison as a reference to Stewie's voice. Fine voice to copy, especially how rare the impersonation has to be. I've never heard anyone do a "Rex Harrison" impersonation and to come up with even the thought of inheriting his voice for a TV show character is absolutely genius. One of the main reasons Seth Macfarlane is my hero.
Read Julie Andrews' new book. She has many hilarious stories about Rex during the making of My Fair Lady on broadway. She says Rex constantly farted on stage and was incredibly rude to her. Very interesting stories!
What a great actor he was,i loved him so much

Carole Landis fans will never forget what you did to her.
Rex Harrison might have been a great actor, but he was an a-hole who treated women like dirt.
God bless and R.I.P to Carole Landis.

From what I've read it did ruin his career, and he went to England to make movies, but his movie career never got back to the way it was.
Well when I said he was a great actor, I enjoyed My Fair Lady and Dr. Doolittle.

Carole Landis "I'm her biggest fan" did committe suicide, but it was because of Rex and other things as well. Rex did not murder her though.

Um, no ... the inspiration for Stewie is 1930's English Actor Monty Woolley.

I saw an interview with Macfarlane where he explicitly said that Rex Harrison was very influential to Stewie's voice.
