  • La musica no pega

  • Oh one more thing.Lens mounting for shorter lenses (less than 100mm) is pretty much always easier if you have the body around your neck first. Some may find other techniques easier though.

  • brianks239... I think you'd be suprised if you are "only" buying nikon 2.8 lenses.

Sure, it's a given that Nikon will always be the superior product. But in my experience Tamron lenses product 90-95 percent the same image quality. The only real differences are in af speed and build quality.

  • the music makes this lens be SOO EPICCC but its not

  • hey kiewas, i have a nikon d80 and have shot 20+ weddings with the nikon 18-70 kit lens but the 3.5 is just getting to restrictive. i am pretty cash strapped at the moment and was wondering if you thought this would be a suitable lens for the application.

  • be a man and talk

  • i have the same lens and it works for me and im satisfied.

  • this over the 17-40

  • People i have a d80 but ineed a that lens, can some one please tell me about it cuz cash is low and i dont have a lens that's closer than 70mm!!!

  • Does the front element rotate when focussing

  • @nikonfseries front element doesn't rotate when focusing. You can use polarizer filter with this lens :)

  • Hi, just want to ask if your tamron lens is with built in motor or non motor?

    Thanks

  • the nikon mount is

  • Superb.... and I mean superb lens in my opinion.

The quality difference between this and a Nikkor or Canon lens is not worth the hundreds of extra dollars. Probably not as tough as a nikkor though.

  • we have the same gear and i love that lens

  • tjj2productions...

The difference between this and the 18-55 is that this lens is not a "kit" lens. It is higher quality (though not top of the line) and will deliver sharper and brighter images with much better color accuracy. Also you can open the aperture much farther to f/2.8 which is superb for portraiture or lower light.

  • whats the big difference between this lens and the Nikkor 18-55mm VR ?

  • f/2.8 on the entire zoom range, and way better images.

  • The aperture range.

For this lens the aperture is a constant f/2.8.

For the Nikon 18-55mm, the aperture range is from f/3.5-5.6.

  • LOL. Lightnes. Compare 5.6F to 2.8F.

  • if you need some depth of field than i bet that i can make the same pictures with that kitlens.

  • Yes. But indors, portraits or fast shutter lof F stop is better.

  • may i know what song is this?

  • this is "club foot" by kasabian.

  • it's too expensive for me.

  • yeah seriously, $1300 dollars? no thanks...I'll take a car.

  • Sick lens. I just got it recently and use it on my D50. I don't know... I have the internal motor version and it is quiet, fast, and deadly sharp so I must have a "good" copy. Some people seem to be suggesting that version for Nikon mount can have flaws... None for me so far.

  • 5* Great Video...

  • thank you!

  • Bad choice kiddo, you should've got the non-motor version...your lens is plagued with AF error problems and unreliability issues plus the focus time takes twice as much as the non motor version

  • I using this lens and it works fine for me. But i cant compare it to the non-motor version though.

  • okay, Thank you!

  • is this the 17-50 with a built in motor?

  • yes
