Unions had their time and place. If any union is elected by the workers it should have an expiration date. Just because you lived in the farm or had access to one and worked at 10 doesnt mean everyone else has or can. I mean I worked at 14 already myself, but we are selected few. Yes Union did not invent the lunch break but lobbied to have a break every 2.5 hours that is why if you work in factory you get one break at 9 or 9 30, then lunch break then another at 2 or 2.30

Unions had their time and place. If any union is elected by the workers it should have an expiration date. Unions that continue for extended periods of time gain more power and wealth then they deserve and cost the average working class - tax paying American more and more every year. Lou Dobbs is usually off base, I am glad to see him point out the illegal activity of ACORN and how Obama used the "Bail Out" money to fund his own campaign. Would love to see a CNN reporter knock out an ACORN rep.

@snowonweb I'm a Teamster and I work 17 hours a day..I get no overtime,well I get Chinese OT,the more I work the less I make.at 70 hours the last 30 hours I'm paid $4.17 an hour....we have lost 1/3 of our pay over the last 3 contracts..then they raised our dues to $40 a month..please tell me again how they are "helping" me??

@FuriousFatMan Insurance premiums are going up because of malpractice claims. Do some research. Just because you lived in the farm or had access to one and worked at 10 doesnt mean everyone else has or can. I mean I worked at 14 already myself, but we are selected few. Yes Union did not invent the lunch break but lobbied to have a break every 2.5 hours that is why if you work in factory you get one break at 9 or 9 30, then lunch break then another at 2 or 2.30

Poland may not be a 1st world country but Lech Walesa and Solidarity were fighting for being able to organize lUnions, Without it you end up being like communist Poland or like China.
