A bs pc (a mac) = less then everything else and no games. A game system = only games. A mac cost more then pc. A mac does less then pc. A mac does more then gaming system. A pc does more then gaming system and mac combined. yet mac cost more then pc. pc and gaming system cost about the same. so why buy a mac when a pc does more and cost less?
windows doesn't run DOS. windows hasn't included DOS with an os since WinME. There also isn't any scandisk in xp. DOS was added to win9x so that it would be backwards compatible with programs that were origionally designed with DOS in mind. Do me a favor and do some real research and pay attention to what you are doing while in windows in xp its command prompt not DOS.
look it up dumb ass.windows xp has an "error checker" which is check disk. check disk has been included in every single os that ms has EVER come out with. DOS (Disk Operating System) is not able to run on an NTFS partition. however win2k and xp both have COMMAND PROMPT. It looks like DOS it feels like DOS but guess what it isn't DOS. It also didn't take ms 7 years to copy apple for a while they were Beta testing software on a Beta tested os which I will agree is stupid, but thats why it took 7y

Enjoy paying over $1000 to upgrade to Vista (this include hardware upgrades and the price of the installaltion disc). I only need to pay for the discs to upgrade to Mac OS X Leopard and Windows XP. Second, what do you expect? hardware prices keep going up.
Acutually I have heard about torrents, but why would I want to get things illegaly. After all, Linux is one of the few things that can be download legally through bittorrent clients.
