i thought that in endurance racing it was whoever did the most laps won... so the ferrari and the porsche had each done the exact same amount of laps over the entire 12 hour race? can someone explain this to me, i follow formula 1, not le mans.

@TheYankeesdawg The race is nearly classificaded as a F1 race. But the race ist not finieshed after x-laps. In this case it's finished after 12h+last lap. So here you can see, the ferrari crosses the finish line first in GT2 after 12h+last lap and won the race.

A small tap as part of any racing incidence is fine. IMO, the Ferrari had been bumping the Porsche intentionally, which is obviously not caused by any lack of grip from the car, it was completely driver intended. It should have been reconsidered by the race committee. But that's them and this one's like four years ago...

Nice race! I have to say though, Nascar has battles of the same quality. Why are there always arguments over which style of racing is better? Racing is racing, every type has its own draws and drawbacks....The laws of physics are the same for every type of vehicle so why not appreciate them all and quit all the bickering?

Probably becuz many people thinks that oval tracks are easy, yea just left turns may be, but when there are so many cars going over 300km/h side by side, dive in to the super high speed corner with 3 wide even 4 wide, and on such bumpy surface with such heavy car with monstrous power, it's simply intense.

He did got the inside line, but if he wouldnt have hit the Porsche twice he wouldnt have cossed the line in first place. You r all talkimg about Nascar and stuff. That happens alot in ALMS down the final straight in the last lap. Sometimes it ends in a wreck, like at Laguna Seca. Ironically it was Bergmeister that time that spun-out Magnussen just feet from the finish line and sent him into the wall.

sry man....even though im a flying lizard fan..that was a inside setup move done to perfection by mello....berg just didnt realize it at the last turn and didnt have the line for that final run...the bump was just good racing. But if u watch close...the ferrari LETS the porker pass at that last moment to get under him ...thus causing that bump...GREAT STUFF
