    get a midikeyb instead

  • This may sound stupid but how do you get the notes to play when you are noing this

  • well if you dont have a keyboard plugged into your PC, you can use your PC keyboard, q is the default note. qwertyuiop is the first set of notes.

  • @fromthesmall2thetall i pressed q and it doesn't work, it just went to edit mode!

  • @topgear33 no questions are stupid my friend but he is simply hlolding down a key either on his qwerty or midi kybrd

  • Whats The Track At The End ??? :) x

  • hey man whats the track at the beginning of this vid please?

  • Dyin Time, check my website for download...

  • I liked this tutorial

  • hey man, any chance you could send me that reason session?

  • When I drag the Mod wheen (first tutorial) nothing happens. Why is this? I have the same cable settings as you do.

  • have you wired the mod wheel to whatever knob your wanting it to change using the combinator programmer?

  • cheers man, need to have a go at this!

  • Thak you for providing a tutorial in which you don't scroll through shit like a mad man and expect people to figure it out. You actually took your time, showed us what to do. Thanks

  • nice one! you know the stuff ...

  • on the malstrom i have only the juno sounds not the shine.. how come?

  • Use the Basic Bass in Malstrom Patches. That's the Bass Sound you need

  • How Do U Get Tht Sound At The Start Like Coz Mine Just Has The Sounds Witch R On There ???

  • right click on malstrom. go to - initialize patch

  • Thanks! been wondering how to do this in Ableton for time.

  • im kinda new on reason where can i get the Init Patch pls???

  • Right click on the module, and select 'initialize patch' - it'll clear the existing settings giving you an empty module.

  • the tune at the begining is mad is there a full version of it sumwhere?

  • Which bass is coming through the malstrom?

  • i had install the reason today and it isntworking properlly....no sound comes out...anyone can help me?TY

  • go to edit/prefrences and then at top will be a dropdown menu for what page you want, go to audio, and there is a spot where it will list the audio card driver your using, i believe it has a green checkmark if its working and a red x if its not. Try switching it to somthing else and then back. Sometimes mine quits working for no reason, and i do that, and it starts working again. Hope that helps somehow.

  • thanks alot! just figured out how to do it .. nice song at the beginning! ;)

  • big up safe the help

  • Thanks...

  • thx man! this movie really helps not like other shits

  • OMG your beatz are MAD

  • yeah oops xD try number 2 xD

  • what patches are you talking about??

  • this is gd thx.. hw do u expand editor tho :S ?? please sumone lol

  • i love you i love you and i love you . ty so much for your knowledge

  • i use fl studio atm and you can set the rates to step half step etc, is this possible in reason?

  • dude you set the standard on "keep it simple"

the lack of talking like on other video's means its less complex to understand, follow the mousie mousie and copy what its doin,

keep up the good work mate

  • I LOVE wobble bass and I'm getting Reason soon. This is a huge help.

  • How do you get the uneven bassline?

    Thanks man

  • lfo rate

  • i made it :)

    i made it

    thx :)

  • hey i downloaded the patch how do i open it in reason though? it downloaded as a .ksd document?

  • You got the patches from the first Tutorial... You want the Tutorial 2 patches, which should be standard Reason sampler files.

  • Dont know what im doing wrong. Im not sure what patch your using in Mael, none of mine sound like that.

  • WTF? i downloaded the reason files...and they are totaly diffrent!

    i mean the second one!

the malström file...the main sound in it is th JUNO and not the SHINE ...

    wtf?

why did u upploaded a totaly different malström save?

and the nnxt is somehow muted!

there is no sound in it

and there is nothing modifyed in it!

i can make it from the tutorial but it sounds different!

so...why dont u uppload the real ones? u know...like in the tutorial :D

  • Sounds like something is wrong with your Reason install... are you using a crack?

  • Bassline is so sick! Thanks for the tutorial man

  • nice fuckin sound

  • your tutorial is nice and clear but when i do it theres no difference it stays the same sound can you help ?

btw i used the amazonas bass

  • never mind i got it thanks alot i jus need to figure out how to make it faster or if you can help please do.

  • im using reason 3 and i can make a wobble bass but i dont know how to make the wobble change speed during the bassline, like the opening of this video. Can anyone please help?

  • if u have a midi keyboard assign the rate knob to a knob on ur key board ....play ur bass line n thn press record again and jus turn the knob on ur key board 2 how u want it.... u can also sample ur bass line ...the higer the note the more rapid it will wobble and the lower the note the slower the wobble ...hope i helped

  • if you have a niche for looking at small things its best to look at what is going on from reason.. i had no prob.. altho i can tell some things done are not shown to keep you from copying straight up cause on the GTsynth i couldnt get the exact "sound" even though i followed to the best of what i could see and thers a few things he missed out like actualy switchin on the shaper wich i bet alot of you F'D UP.. he lays phat foundations for you to work from if you r intuitive enough 2 push it PEACE

  • i cant seem to be able to find the best samples to use in reason...any suggestions ?

  • awesome tutorial. i've been trying to make the perfect wobble in ableton live for ages now, thanks alot. :D

  • So whats the patched called again?

  • thank you so much!

  • Thats well good, helped me alot, but mine weren't as good either. and could you do another tutorial, telling us how to do the sub bass, and to make a perfect beat? basically the parts for making a full dubstep song, please? that would help me alot, and your this tutorial was very easy to follow.

    Thanks

  • lol, dude, funny.

  • pls uppload the patch and put the link into the info at the right for the malström becouse i can't make the same as you did ( it's the same but not perfect! )

    thanx :D

keep workin man :P sick chooons :D

  • Its there already.

  • Nice tutorials man, fast and effective, keep em comin. :D

  • what samples do you recomend for use in live? its like my first time trying to get bass sounds!

  • you can download tons of samples, but live has some good ones to start with. Look for a bass or synth sample that has a clean tone, something that sounds fairly rich and full, but not grungy. You can distort the sound later.

  • ok i got loss this now!

when u add in a matix nufin happens the sound goes off!

    helppp

  • Anyone got a link to a similar tutorial for Logic8?

  • ey man would just like to compliment you on your brilliant video i had trouble doin this before but because of your awesomeness im good

  • uhm, woah man. seriously, ive been a reason user since it came out, and ive racked my brain over how to make a pro bass wobble. you just showed me the light. :-D.

  • This is the only Reason tutorial ive used that actually worked lol

    Thanks for this

  • Awesome,Reason is such a behemoth, its hard to pinpoint a place to start!

  • there is defo no patch called hoover bass in either the malstrom, subtractor or thor in reason 4...

  • Just download the linked patches, and all will be revealed to you....!

  • yeah went to the site and all there is is a link to download for patches for massive, not reason...?

tracks are heft by the way!

  • Nice!!!!

  • not dissing the well done video, but its not all about the wobble

  • well this video is.

  • You do not need a patch really for the Malstrom. These arent samples you are working with here.

  • Perhaps you should rewatch the video. These ARE samples I'm working with, routed through the Malstrom filter.

  • whats the name of the intro song..?

  • The track is Dyin' Time by The Synthesist

  • Could you send me a MP3?

  • what is the malstrom patch i load in?

  • I think it was the Hoover Bass patch that I loaded...

  • You got any good refills for this kinda fing?

  • thanks a bunch, im learning!

  • Nice one for doing this mate. It's a great and easy tutorial to follow. Much respect.

  • i tried again to use it as a resposne, see if it went through

  • check my profile, i added a reason wobble bass tricks as a follow up to this video!

  • Thanks for posting that, not sure why it didnt come through as a video response, but everyone should check it out.

  • what is the best sound to use?

  • triangle

  • thansk so much mate, this is a wicked help

    big ups

  • put some tape driven scream on it at a lowish damage level. 11 o'clock maybe. It makes it sing more

  • Do you live anywhere near California I'm looking for someone to teach me these kinds of tricks. Only very few people know how to do this thx mate!!!!!

  • da wav is called an inverted sawtooth. try turnin da fm ov dirty south sub on subtracter all da way up...i personaly dont like malstrom.

  • Ah, good advice... Sounds great!

  • thanks so much, always wondered how to do it...

  • thanks again....another great tutorial. Really appreciate the time it took.

    Peace

  • Again another good tutorial!

  • again awsome! this and the massive tutorial have really helped @last my bass sounds sick

    top video

  • yeh mate i mean the triangle (sine) ;) give it a crack its nice, im not sure what is better though, the malstrom or the subtractor, i think they are better for different things

  • malstrom for basslines i prefere using subtractor for the string n the weird filling backround sounds definatly malstrom for bass tho PEACE!

  • its simple just assign the lfo 1 to sine wave, then press the sync button, set the "dest" to either F.Freq or mix depending on what you are after. Set Osc ! to either a sine, square or saw wave depending on what sort of wobble u want.

you can get some really freat sounds, its especially good for a wobble sub as well as a wobble mid bass.

    respekt

  • you mean the triangle wave right? or am i missing the Sine Wave on the Subtractor? The Subtractor does produce some really good basses...

  • yeah sorry the triangle its not a sine

  • the Subtractor is great for wobble! beeter than the NNXT!
