I have laryngitis right now -- starting 3rd day of *no* voice. Even though I 'knew' this already, I didn't heed it and whispered a long call with my Best Friend yesterday! Oops! Today no talking! Luckily I do know Sign Language but my husband does not, lol! Today some Deaf friends are coming over...phew! I'll get to communicate at last!
Did anyone find they could say certain sounds more easily than others whilst their voice was recovering? So you had to choose different words with a similar meaning. For example: saying : 'true' and 'cool' instead of 'yes'. The 'oo' sound was just easier. Laughter also came out more easily.
I have laryngitis, and I am a singer, I have to get my voice back for next week, so Im not gonna talk at all for 5 days. Do you think this will ensure my voice is back by the end of next week?
I've had laryngitis before in the past. The bout I had recently is slowly healing. Some days my voice is stronger than others. The Docs did other tests but couldn't find any other bad cause behind it. Just have to patient and be glad it's coming back at all.

yeah, lol the "oo" sound is easier for me (have laryngitis right now), rather than "e" or "a"

thats because different vowel shapes resonate differently, and so some naturally are louder/easier.
for me it's "ee" like in "feet"

Dr. Enoch Choi, Thank you very much for your advice! I will keep my mouth shut. At this moment I wish I knew sign language. You take care as well :)
