I have a tip too: if you cover the water it will heat faster! But I think you skipped that step so it's easier for us to see the process! I'll try that now!
Never use garlic salt. If you use the dry stuff as I do, use garlic powder. The salt in garlic salt is nasty, so for salt you use sea salt separately.
Good job! I might give this a try. It nice to see someone using ingredients average people have in their kitchen unlike those fancy cooking shows. I've heard you can also use onion instead of sugar to cut the acidity, is that true? I've seen recipes that use basil, parsley, and/or bayleaf in the red sauce. Would you recommend oregano over those herbs?
Oregano is the heart and soul of a great spaghetti sauce. As far as the sugar goes, I like to use a tbsp of brown sugar and the give the sauce just the smallest amount of bite a pinch of cayenne pepper. Thanks for showing.
does the garlic flakes dissolve? because my boyfriend hates it and i know it taste much better with garlic and he wouldnt notice if he cant see it....
I have always drained the water from my pasta. Everyone has their own special taste when it comes to spaghetti and I've rarely tasted spaghetti I didn't like!
You can use fresh onions and they add a lot of flavor. My Aunt Ethel asked me "where are the onions" in your recipe? I prefer just the garlic but would use onions if I was out of garlic. That's the good part about spaghetti - it's So Good so many different ways! : )
Ok, my stepmother is Italian and she alway emphasized working out your liquids from the start, adding water after the fact destroys the flavor... also, why rinse the starch from the pasta? although my stepmother does it, I do not

is the meat sauce part like burger meat choped up ?
nyczkrndummy 3 years ago
Yes, it's lean ground beef - any fresh ground beef will work, just drain off the grease. Thanks for the question.
