Online passes are abusive, and a disrespect to the players, in my opinion. Everyone who owns a game should be able to sell it. Also, it's another way of them making more money off gamers for content they should have released in the initial package.

In the case of Kingdoms of Amalur, I have tried it and I should say it doesn't deserve so much attention. Skyrim is way better.

I don't have a problem with retailers trying to sell a game that has not been released. If you like the company you are buying the game from, like Amazon, then i don't see why not buy it. It does not matter to me if the retailers have a release date of the game. of course i am not going to believe it and i will patiently wait for the game to be released by the developers when it happens .

i am NOT ok with content exclusive to NEW copies of a game...there is a huge market for used games and this market is quite often the only way some people can get their games :( there needs to be a different solution to combat pirating or w/e their goal is...if their goal happens to be to boost sales, then that is just shameful and very disappointing

I don't mind online passes, especially when they contain other special items such as the ME:3 N7 armor contained in the example above. I'd rather they do things like that than horrible things like SOPA. Restrict content and/or link purchases to our accounts, that's the only acceptable compromise.

As for retailers who lie about release dates, they should be forced to give their customers free copies of the game or suffer some other huge penalty. It's blatant fraud that would put us in jail.

Force, regarding used-copies discussion. I don't buy the BS about supporting producers. Media and games lives in a legal bubble that will not last. Imagine if you got a car, but you can't sell it, and can't let anyone else drive it. Do you then actually own the car? Shouldn't this new-style of protecting "new-sales" be renamed to renting. I encourage the passes as long as the developers see some of the money and it doesn't all go to the publisher.

Besides, when you buy anything 2nd hand you accept that the product may not be complete, and as such you get what you pay for. Pay and incomplete price, you get an incomplete game.

If anyone is to blame, it's retail for not playing nice with the publishers/developers in the first place.

online pass for additional content is always a plus, you can still enjoy the game at its fullest even if you dont have that pass.

as for the Wii online upgrade (there was already an online service thou limited) they just catching up on the wave and a little late. i was a ps3 gamer all the way but PCs hardware is much more advanced now that any games can be much better played off on PC. keep up the good work Dennis

I would love to get my hands on some games but they aren't being produced anymore and are becoming rarer from damage/loss/time. One ever popular game is FF7. I bought the game after playing it on a friends console, later i purchased my own copy and later the collectors edition then the digital copy so it never gets damaged.

If not for their weird ideas and Sony/Microsoft stealing the best parts they come up with, our standard controllers for those systems would've looked alot different.

@TowerSavant I can see where you are coming from but what were the parts that they took from Nintendo? PS made the dual analog stick. If anything Microsoft ripped of Sony. Im sorry if Im missing somthing but I dont think they had a large impact controlars. Its not that I hate Nintendo but more so that I dont care for their style of games or hardware. The motion idea was just a gimick in my opinion but if others enjoy it thats great.

@BobaFett7789 PS1's controller was a SNES controller. SNES controller innovated the L/R buttons, PS1's controller doubled up on them. N64's controller innovated the analog stick, Sony upgraded their PS1 controller by introducing two analog sticks. N64 introduced a single rumble pack for their controller, Sony upgraded their controller by, again, doubling the rumble packs.

So ya, the Playstation controller is an upgraded SNES controller, modified with every new Nintendo innovation.
