Tab was probably diet Coke and Coke started to have Diet Coke and even kept both of them.

TAB, yeah my mum used to drink it, so I would grab a drink or two of it when I was a kid. Someone mentioned Tresco, have not heard that name for years and years.

Nastiest drink imaginable until I tried a Moxie.

Yeah, Moxie tastes like NyQuill without any of the nice narcotic qualities.

wasnt that stuff made with sacron sweetener. I remember how mad my 6th grade teacher was that they took sacron off the market because it caused cancer in lab mice when given in massive doses.while cigerettes remained legal even though it was known they cause cancer too

I remember Tab...I'm not a big diet cola drinker but I rememberit...and I'e never heard of Tresca...but I have heard of Fresca.

My mother used to go bowling with her sister, and I'd get a bottle of Tab at the bowling alley, or another tasty beverage called Tresca... everyone reckons they were terrible, but to my four year old taste buds they were great.. not sure how they'd taste now though..

This is great! Makes me want to try a TAB. Helpful too for a project we're doing in school. We have to make ads for a Time Magazine covering 1970-1980 gives you a good idea of the kind catchy lighthearted ad campaigns comanies ran back then.

Nobody under 30 or so remembers how awful Tab (and all diet sodas) tasted before Nutrasweet. Tab was like drinking lighter fluid.

saying it tasted like lighter fluid is being kind. That implies that it had something that it really had a strong flavor. It was anything but-more like sludge, me thinks! It was awful. However this catchy commercial has the elements in it that would definitely encourage a person to say" I should try Tab!" That's the reaction that the makers of Tab wanted. This gives it to them.
