OK I'm a mac user and run a charity called free macs for the blind here in the UK and I've worked with both mac and PC all my life. JAWS is like the new supernova and windoweyes. extremely expensive. what a joke. For a guy like me, I can't cover costs like that. why can't these developers stop charging stupid money for a CD for heavens sake.

It's a great vid. Cmon, people, it doesn't realy matter what screenreader you prefer, it's just funny. I use both nvda, and jaws, and i'm glad this kind of software exists. And, truth be toled, it's an eloquence bug, not a jaws one, but still, it's well done.

The interesting thing is that NVDA seemingly wins based on an Eloquence bug, not a Jaws bug. The same crash can happen if you use Eloquence with NVDA and/or Window-Eyes. At least with Window-Eyes there is an app to fix this. Funny? a little, accurate? Absolutely not.

This was funny, I'll admit, but Come On!! why didn't Jaws win??? Somebody must have been under the Imperious Curse!! Jaws has a much understandable voice, and besides, he used better curses. Finally, you can speed up the speech of Jaws.

TTS since the late 70s and the original Kurzweil reading machine.

that cost the school thousands.

The teachers did not know how to work it and we were not allowed to touch it so it sat mouldering in the basement collecting dust.

I still use a very stable version of texthelp systems screen reader I got in about 1997 and it runs fine on my XP system.

I agree ... jaws all the way. I'm using the latest version, and its voice is SO MUCH BETTER than nvda's. I can hardly understand it. It is a bit pricy, but it functions well.
