I am disappointed that the half-time shows are usually not shown on tv. Who was the football team playing? I don't care; the half-time show was AWESOME! This is especially difficult when the band is spread across the whole field. The players can't listen to the drums; they have to watch the drum majors directing on either side of the field. It takes almost half a second for the sound to travel the length of the field; so it can be very confusing when you are trying to play together.

I agree with 'pieces61'. The Precision Marching in the video was flawless. I have participated in precision marching bands during my high school days. It was embarrassing when I forgot a position, and was wandering around aimlessly. When every band member stands in the correct position during formation, and lines are perfectly formed, that band deserves recognition. There are competitions for precision marching, and the winner should definitely perform during Super Bowl halftimes.

@MrKingtoor It's probably middle-of-the-pack. For engineering, I don't know a ton about their program. It's not one of the elite engineering schools, but I don't think it's that bad either.
@MrKingtoor For engineering we have one of the top schools to go to on the East Side of the United States. It's credited with a lot of engineering companies throughout the East that will take someone from WVU over another school because our program is that good. If you are really wanting to know more just look up the engineering department on the school's main website.

@computerrage Yes it is your right to dislike this. The question is why????? Do you have something against the armed forces who preserve that right????? Even if you don't like marching band music you have to at least like the theme and presentation. And the fact that many americans died or were severely wounded defending your right not to like this. Most people who don't like this would keep it to themselves as to not look bad. Ignorance is bliss.

After all there were 8.5 million members of the Nazi Party in Germany so according to your logic they must have been right. I am a retired from the ARMY after 23 years and this is so beautiful that this University's marching band can Salute it's Armed Forces the way that they did. I think that i can say from all of us who have served and those all still serving Thank you so much for what you did. God Bless you all.

@MrKingtoor It's probably middle-of-the-pack. For engineering, I don't know a ton about their program. It's not one of the elite engineering schools, but I don't think it's that bad either.

@MrKingtoor For engineering we have one of the top schools to go to on the East Side of the United States. It's credited with a lot of engineering companies throughout the East that will take someone from WVU over another school because our program is that good. If you are really wanting to know more just look up the engineering department on the school's main website.

All part of the plan....unfortunately these service people aren't unionized government types and their work isn't really valued by "our" commander and chief. Jimmy Carter all over.
