Ferrofluid isn't poisonous. you can make it your self with some ink toner and 100% vegetable oil.

you can make ferrofluid with normal kitchen oil and magnetic ink, the amt of oil you have is pretty much the amt of ferrofluid you will get, mix em until the mixture is VERY syrupy. play around with it it's AWSOME

i got mine from ebay.. it works great with a big electro magnet .. the oil its self isent magnetic its the tiny magnetic dust suspended in the oil that makes it work

More interestingly, if you took a ferrofluid, and then mixed in plenty of corn starch, ending up with a non-newtonian ferrofluid hybrid - how would it behave. On the one hand, you would have say an AC magnet pulsing it with strong EM fields, on the other, the non-newtonian properties would react. It could be cool, or it could be a useless gooey mess.

Look, here's my theory. Gusmolina is either a stealth marketer or a patient at the local asylum with internet priveleges. Or, he could actually be from the future, trying to warn us all before it's too late. But somehow I doubt the last one. Besides, the way he describes the Terminator material is his downfall. Ferrofluids cannot mimic forms like he describes. They are only magnetically charged fluids, which have a limited range of shapes. They cannot form into solids.
