umm you do not need wifi max and xlink kai if you have freinds that play the game, if you have friends that play you have to be in the same room together, then you can go to the online Gathering hall find a quest and they can join and youll be on your merry way killing monsters and elder dragons alike!

This game is worth every penny you spend. But not really 80 bucks though. I got mine for 30. But trust me. this game will keep you entertained for months on end.

I bought this game a few months ago, and I was the only one that had it. Then I showed it to some friends and now there are four other people with it, two of them got PSP's just for the game. So even if there's no petting zoo he wasn't lying about the game being able to fascinate people.

man i really like the fighting in all in this game but im disapointed-- is there only one town? and why is it called monster hunter FREEDOM? there is no freedom u just accept quests in one small village then they teleport u to an area where u do your quest and once its complete u return to the same place only to do another quest-- i wish there was freedom!!! fighting 9/10 graphics 9/10 freedom 1/10 is there even another village?

"FREEDOM" because you have the freedom of moving with your game to wherever you are because it's on your psp.

Yes, it is difficult AND addictive. I take my psp to work and try to sneak in playtime! I just killed the Congalal on the 2* tier. Usually I wiz through games, but not this one! However, just seeing what can be achieved and the satisfaction of finally bringing down a pain in the ass monster has fueled me to spend 30+ hrs. playtime so far! and I'm not even HR 2 yet!

Yes, the gunlance is a new weapon class to Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I have the Japanese version and the gunlance is a new kind of weapon. It has slightly different attacks than the regular lance

I know they put the flexing and the rubbing your belly in there to make it more comical, but it's a fucking pain in the ass sometimes. Especailly when you are fighting unpredictable wyverns like azure rathalos, where you think you're safe but they turn around and kick your ass. That's about my only complaint about any of the monster hunter games though.

The "cannon" that you are referring to is a new weapon called a gunlance. It is a melee weapon that shoots shotgun-like shells. Greatswords remain the same but can do a charge up attack. The combos that you are seeing are from the new weapon class, Tachi(katana). Tachi's are quick weapons that do about the same damage as greatswords, can perform various combos, but cannot block

its not a new weapon they have three gunlances in mhf1 and 3 gunhammers in mhf1 but only one out of every class that can acutally shoot the sanctioned gunhammer/gunlance

its a psp, IF u want to go on an online quest, U have to be with in 15 feet of the other player so u can prety mutch talk to them in person.

coz ive done alll the traning missions and i want to get the rathalos armour.

ive seen new rathalos armour on trailers but i want to make sure it is differnt before i spend hours getting it! :( lol

I believe I read that the night and day cycles are predetermined by the game or missions perhaps. The cycles change where certain creatures are and what areas are open at the time.

For MHF 2 and MHP 2nd (the Japanese version), night and day are already predetermined by the quests, like you thought. So when you choose a quest, it'll say whether it takes place at night or day.
