This is enjoyable, and I have an unrelated question. I have been involved in 18th century period reenacting for several years, and have been told repeatedly that most men in that period (save for Jews, priests, men living in the wilderness) did not have beards and mustaches. My own research bears this out. Facial hair was considered "improper" in some sense. In this video, and at C.W. itself, we DO however see men with beards. As Colonial Williamsburg stresses authenticity....why?
