I rate these, as some of the dumbest commercials I've seen, The technology has been around way longer then they flaunt how new it is. Raise your hand if you have, or have had a rechargeable tooth brush that docks on a station to charge! Same system. Agreed do your research, not worth it. When you can charge devices a meter away from the charger, then I will be impressed.
my thoughts exactly. When i can charge my electronics any where over wi-fi or whatever without a special case then i will be impressed. just checked the price for the mat $100, price per charger adapter about $20-$40. adds up quick
just wanna keep the fact active that this is a total waste of money because you have to buy holsters for your items you want to charge... put research into this item before you buy.
Thats because Tesla is Chuck Noris beta. He did have an idea of "broadcasting" energy but with today's reliance on radio frequency transmission this would be hard to do.
Also, Marconni stole the radio from Tesla but he was not interested in personal gain only to advance society.
Rotf notice how they changed the new version of this commercial ...this original looked more like they were sayin F*&( the new one u can see their sayin bleepin frikkin whinners lol
Well duh there is cord to plug in the wall how elese would it get power. It does reduce the amount of wires u need. This is just on the small scale of things. Thinks about if u have a whole counter top or wall like this. I think it charges the device with a rising and colapsinh magnetic field, just like a transformer.
Enabling your device means you'll need to plug something into it anyway. Only a device specifically built to receive power wirelessly will be able to use this without plugging in external hardware, and that sort of defeats the point anyway...
At any rate this will save you about a 5 seconds max. You still need to walk to the device and put your phone on it - is it that much of a stretch to plug in a cable? Not to mention that cables will take up less room :/
Anyone else notice that the bleep is poorly timed enough that you can tell they aren't really saying fvck?

Cool idea, but I've seen them and believe me, the are far from cordless. It's easier to just use a normal charger.
