im not gonna lie i like stuff apple makes and i like stuff that sony make if i had to chose for a pc i would go with either a vaio pc or imac just to hard to chose really for a pmp i would go with the sony x series then a apple ipod and phone...i would just like a phone that makes phone calls text messages and a camera for toughs crazy moments ...i dont really care what phone i have as long as it has that

Ok, the apple is just the most unsturdy technology i have ever seen. Everyone i know has had an ipod broken or a macbook broken for doing nothing to it. Obviously you are going to have more reliability with a sony, toshiba, hp, etc.

while I respect your choosing to go with a solely Windows-based laptop, I'm not sure you can justify this laptop being "better than Mac"... don't get me wrong, it's got some impressive specs, but it seems a bit unnecessary to say a certain laptop is "better" than the other when in this case you're comparing two very different computers/platforms. *shrugs*

you want to know why this is not better than mac- because it is running windows vista- the operating system that ha boosted mac sales, and windows xp. mac is just out of windows league. No offense to the sony, but the mac hardware is better anyway

Macbook Pro is a faaaaar better machine. The graphics card is a 8600GT instead of 8600GS, the hard drive is 7200rpm insteal of 4200rpm and the Macbook Pro is fully alluminium, not the cheaper carbon graphite you'll find in the sony

Actually the 7200rpm is only available on the 17" Macbook Pro. Which is way way more expensive. on the entry and the middle model it is 5400rpm. Great the graphics card is marginally better, you have to run bootcamp and install Xp which takes up over 50gb of the 200gb HD. Then you cannot play games only if you boot up the mac and select windows, which kinda defeats the purpose of having a mac, no? Macbook is good but so are a lot of other things that are way cheaper. Macbook is all show really.

and about the dead pixel it DEVALUES your machine by about a few hundred pounds i would have defo wanted a new 1 after all the screen takes alot of hammer on a laptop through heat

Hi, kpnutz23 they said to me its normal to have a few dead pixles (i only had one) and that they would have exchanged it if there was a certain amount.

The machine is a beauty, runs very fast and have no complaints yet!

I cant notice any performance issues with the HDD to be frank
