  • @krikbestplayer34 Correct. The module receives the GPS signal from satellites and the maps are stored on the iPod.

  • do u need wifi for this app...???if not can any1 tell me nice free app navigation that requires no wifi cause u know i dont have wifi on all places.. plz help

  • @krikbestplayer34 You can use any of the major navigation apps like Navigon or TomTom, Sygic, Magellna, etc.

  • Very Helpful.

  • Update to GPSSerial v1.3

The direction problem is also solved :)

  • does this work on ipod touch? cos it ant got 3g...

  • Yes it does. You will need the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets.

  • I want one of these. But I wonder if it costs extra to ship to Australia. Keep up the good wok

  • Just visit the Orange Gadgets website and click on the FAQ for shipping questions.

  • can u comment on how fast it will drain the battery on an ipod touch using the unit without being plugged in to a power source? Why does it have a battery when it is using the power from the ipod touch?

  • If you start with a fully charged iPhone/iPod battery, it will last for about 3hrs with the screen on all the time. The battery inside of the module is only a memory back-up battery for storing satellite data.

  • Nice video. The re-caculate works fine on my 3GS. I'm thinking the app is not designed / tested for your set up.

  • Actually, this video was shot with the GPSSerial v1.1. The re-calculation of routes now works fine with GPSSerial v1.2 as well :-)

  • Nice video man keep up the good work!
