Now, were collided particles in LHC and you seen that is nothimg: none Higgs boson, none Big-Bang, neither black holes, but only thousands of shards of ethereal particles. Therefore, now -return you physicists from your distraction at Isaac Newton with his universal attraction law= THE UNIFIED LAW OF THE MATTERS AND FORCES, at the eliminated ETHER by Einstein, at the unseen world of the ethereal and spiritual matters which fill up the Cosmos, and return you at the Lord- at God!

  • science is a myth

  • this is a hoex! looks like they filmed this in a sewer or something and tried to make it look all scientific

  • They are morons. How can they even attempt to collide two atoms in their facility and think that they can harness the power that created the universe... And if they don't recreate "the big bang"...(and wipe out all existence) it seem to me that smashing two atoms together is almost like dropping two atom bombs... Big lose lose.. They cant even be ready for the results because it is a complete unknown as to what it would do. "HMM Lets just smash two atoms together and disappear!"

  • The LHC is amazing. I’m betting they won’t find the higgs boson and will have to build another machine and start all over again.

  • I cant belive they spend billions on this thing, I almost recreated the big bang on my toilet dude, I mean, all this new mass....anyway imagine what a fatass could do...

  • @MegaCHARGER1969

    LOL !

  • this is depleting the earths natural energies you Medeling fools

  • @sarah1ooo1 how bro?

  • Comment removed

  • "imaging radars" +"mathforum" google.com.

  • TeamFortressKilla's comment is somewhat tragic, in that it shows, that there are far bigger issues than the general public's adoption the metric system.

  • One day I will visit this mark my word

  • @PHDRelativePhysics

On day I will work there, mark my words.

  • I think this thing is gonna turn to be a friggin time machine

  • 2:18 sucksee this application..

  • this lhc was built so all the stupid people on earth could comment about it on utube ... it obviously works as i my self have been drawn to comment about it ..

long live the lhc hip hip horay

i hope they find this higgs bosun particle as i will be amongst the first to be queing up at asda to buy one i hope they do them in strawberry flavour

  • Bulllshiit, man. What the fuck is this machine supposed to do? >_> What does this do to help anybody out in a positive way?

  • @pinksorbet1

    Are you a derp?

It will collide protons and hopefully recreate a very mini big bang? Possibly find out what started it, and created our universe! what the "God Particle" is...Higgs Particle, its really fascinating

Ever seen Back To The Future? Same concept, go REALLY fast and hit it, and results :)

  • @pinksorbet1

Well, people asked this all the time with "scientific projects" like LHC.

These are some benefits we gained from these projects:

internet, computer, TV, cd, plasma, led, blue ray, gps, potato chips bags, polaroid sunglasses, cure for cancer by radiation, wireless stuff, and ofcourse further the knowledge of physics, which helps us create other fun stuff.

  • żyjemy?

  • Black holes on earth what a lot of bull S**t to be honest haha

  • Too many assumptions made about time with regards this experiment. Was there time before the so called big bang or did time start after the big bang or some interval after the big bang. Or does time only exist on earth? If the LHC gives us any meaningful results how can we prove there worth?

  • so it's already 2010, what have they found?

  • I love LHC , I'm student from Spain ( Barcelona ). The most interesting experiment in the world... Sometimes I think.. and ask me.. How is posible discover the univers? what is matter? what is light? Everybody thinks that the light we see the objectes .. yes it's true.. but no at all.. The light is invisible and he hasn't got matter.. How it's posible?

    Thanks

  • Best LHC film on youtube...

    watch?v=2StRb3F0j6k

  • how stupid you all it is build for black holes

  • that thing will kill us all in europe bcz it will collide particles causing a huge explosion so big it will kill everyone within 17x2 miles

  • 17x2? why not just say 34 and no it wouldnt

  • I think it's fundamentally wrong that the LHC shutdown for CHRISTmas. Part of the LHC's mission is to explore the big bang and possibly destroy the idea of God I'd hope. It just wasn't good taste nor fitting to shutdown a potentially God ending machine in the name of Christ. I hope it's able to sucessfully start back up again in those very cold temperatures or Christians might claim it's a act of God to stop it. CHRISTmas is NOT a benign holiday; it's propaganda.

  • @rbolo29 what a load of bs. 1. The LHC was made to find new particles and to find out more about fundamental physics. If there is/was a god, it doesn't/wouldn't have anything to do with the what and the how of things, only with the why. 2. the people at Cern do know what they're doing, they won't take any risks, and they deserve some time off. 3. Try looking up who proposed the Big Bang Theory.

  • sounds convincing but this thing will turn us all into walking mutants or fucked-up retarted zombies...

    +what u said is true...

  • some people allready are ha

  • It was shut down at this time for two reasons

    1. CERN has ALWAYS shut down their active collider (eg. LEP before) in mid December because the cost of electricity spikes in Dec. and Jan while people heat their homes. All colliders need some downtime for maintenance, this is simply the best time of year for the shutdown

  • 2. To progress into new physics they need to commission the nQPS and ramp up current to 6kA in order to collide at 7TeV, after 23 days of operation they had met all of the goals needed before commissioning the nQPS and ramping up magnet current .. which is when they decided to put it in standby while they began nQPS commissioning and EQLA preparation for 6kA magnet current.

  • on the this project is very DANGEROUS...bcz will can create one black hole or strangelet ..they are a hypothetical particle consisting of a bound state of roughly equal numbers of up, down, and strange quarks.

  • Wow your a real fuckwad. I hope a big burly "fag" fucks you up your butthole and cum shoots out your nose! Have a great day Captain Dick in the mouth!

  • you said, and i quote! you hope a big birly fag fucks my butthole and cum shoots out my nose? You wouldnt be a queer by any chance would you, that loves watching gay porn?

lol@ this lame butt pirate! dont hold back butt pirate tell us all how you really feel . lol @ this tard

  • @Grrly12 relax man

  • Simple, because it can't harm everyone else.

Just like every doomsday prediction and conspiracy theory it is a lot of fear spread by the ignorant. Nothing more.

  • it won't harm anyone.....

  • there speaking in kilometers and kilograms, I have no fucking clue, I know what they area I just have no way to visulize them like I can pounds, tons, miles, fucking US and its refusal to adopt the metric standard no wonder why were so behind in math and science

  • lol, you can still learn metrics. I'm from the US and I'm starting to get the hang of it from chem classes and bio classes.

  • @TeamFortressKilla just search calculators in net. I got few to understand that miles, yards, gallons ect shit is so I know how many units it is in meters, liters ect. so calculators help. only about 2-3 countries is fucking stubborn and dont have metric system and weight in KG. which is MORE easy

  • @7BeAsT9 Kilograms are a measure of mass, so pounds to Kilograms is not a good conversion. It makes no sense.

  • @ComputerGeekAndPCs ok. I didnt say im good at that weird measures ect. Im using metric units and kilograms. I just made my opinion.

  • @TeamFortressKilla 1 Kilometer is 1000 meters ;)

  • @TeamFortressKilla your not alone if you want to get good at SI prefixes and measuring fluids, solids, or even binary values use converters on the web did you know that CERN created the World Wide Web!

  • @TeamFortressKilla I think the problems with the american education system run far deeper than our system of weights and measures.

  • @TeamFortressKilla No kidding. x3

  • @TeamFortressKilla There's an App. for that !!!

  • @TeamFortressKilla i sympathise completely. USA is such a big, important contributor to science and industry, but we have no clear idea of their quantities until we convert their units. it sucks but at least it keeps our brains excercised!

  • @TeamFortressKilla I know right... ignorant fuckers.

  • @TeamFortressKilla

if you have problems to virualize what a METER and a GRAMM is ... lets do follow math

    1 Meter = 3,2808399 ft -> 1 kiloMeter = 1 Meter x 1000

1 kiloGramm is a block of water at its "highest" destiny of 1kg/dm³ of the size of 1/10 m each side

    in other words

1 kiloGramm is the weight water have at highest destiny in a block of 0,32ft side-length

    hope this helps ...

  • we shouldnt be fucking around with this shit! we havent dissolved greed yet! we havent learned to take care of one another and put away our toys like money and guns! The more smart we think we are the more we prove how stupid we accually are! We are not ready for this yet!

  • Suddenly our technical knowhow has made amazing leaps and bounds, if the amount of energy needed is what restricts us using speed to achieve the desired quantum time affect then we have no choice but to accelerate a particle with gravity, the so called black hole affect but is this our only alternative?

  • unfortunately, the vatican pretty much funded the whole thing... probably hardly dinted their savings.

so if anything fun like 'wow! scientific proof there is no god!', they'll be like 'uhmm...self destruct?'

  • CERN is a papal conspiracy? lol

  • someones been watching 'Angels and demons' too much

  • @th3blkparade

its bad that people know this just from movie or book

  • Hahaha, the vatican funded the LHC!!! LOLOLOL, aye right.........

  • HAHAHAaaa, you obviously have the brain of a MOTH. Cern will enable us to get outta here in style. Away from the religious nutters that continually blow each other up and divide the place even further. Scientific study and experimentation made it possible for YOU to sit here and be able to even comment on ANYTHING.....Fooooooool !

  • Well even moths don't waste that much money on useless peices of shit like CERN..."Cern will enable us to get outta here in style", So use it then, otherwise shut your ass up..oh wait u cant use it because it DOESNT WORK hahahaha! Your trapped with me forever bwahahaha*

  • LOL, we'll see....

  • agreed moths dont need money to live

  • you say that and I say pfft! how primative! we could have learned to talk to eachother with our minds instead of the internet and cell phones....but nooo!

  • WHY would the VATICAN fund the L.H.C. ??? rad4life, You said 'WE', Eh, it would probably be a good idea if YOU didn't 'fuck around wi that shit' !!! I reckon the scientists are CERN are quite entitled to 'fuck around with that shit'. Not, 'we' . . .

  • I was speaking for the human race, unless these socalled scientists are extra terrestrials my opinion remains unchanged!

  • ROFL !! No problem !!! I think I managed to work out who you were speaking for. Why the vatican would fund a project that would distance science and religion even further makes no sense. Thankfully, it looks like technology IS advancing at an exponential rate. Compare life 100 years ago Vs today Vs 100 yrs before THOSE 100years!!! (Out of the hundreds of thousands we've been here)!, We're just beginning !

  • especialy when there is no way to find what they are looking for

  • TURN THAT FUCKIN THING OFF

  • This Super collider was originally to be built in Texas, but politics got in the mix and that was the end of that deal in the USA. So the EU decided to build the monster money pit and...well it is what it is when ever it is to be or do what it is if IS is what is wanted lol

  • Has it started working again? Because it broke down right?

  • Finding out the reason for existence means finding death. Think about it.

Asking for a reason is like saying this life isn't good enough. I love this life. It's basically paradise if you give it a shot and silence your thoughts of mortality. It's the only reason we will never be happy. I say fuck that. Enjoy what's been handed to you. Your life... It's another one's version of paradise.

  • They did it and it broke....I was wondering since they are causing fusion to happen if it will be applied to days power systems or will they just ignore it....

  • Why would we want to build a giant fucking tube to find out how we were made? I don't care how I was made! And these people are talking about KILLING EVERYONE. Just to find out how we were made. I think I speak for everyone in the world when I say I DON'T GIVE A SHIT HOW THE WORLD WAS MADE.

  • Why can't everybody just believe in Jesus? This world is going to hell in a hand basket.

  • Because not everyone has the same religious belief. Everyone has a right to Christianity, as does a right to Atheism.

  • no one,s gonna die. the purpose of the lhc is to make the protons in the lead collide and create matter from the mass in such a tiny bit of room .The matter will be similiar to the matter created during the big bang.

  • so if something goes wrong we all die?

  • Create the conditions just after the Big Bang? Number one, God created the Earth and the Universe 6,000 years ago. Number two, how do scientists know what the conditions were like just after the Big Bang? Number three, how do scientists know that the Big Bang happened?

  • wake up u retard

  • Get some exercise and type full words, you lazy nimrod.

  • wake up you retard

  • They dont know what conditions were like after the big bang, thats why theyre doing this. You can believe what you like about god and creation, this doesnt dispute HOW the universe was created, just what it was like right after it. And how do you know that god created the universe? There is plenty of evidence for a big bang so read into a subject more before criticising it.

  • 6,000 years ago? haha very funny! Scientists know how matter and radiation behaves because they think, and compare theories with experiments! with people like you we will be in darkness and murdering people saying that the earth is round!

  • @ RoCoquiRo: Number one: there is a lot of evidence to prove that the eath is way older than 6,000 years old. Number two: How do YOU know god created anything, or if he even exists? Number three: there is no way to be sure of anything that happened billions of years ago, but scientists can come pretty damn close with experiments like this. This was only what they think happened.

  • 6000 years ago :D LOL :D

you should return to school and learn with small kids to see why the thing that you have just said is totally stupid... :D

I am so sorry, but everytime I see something like this, the more I am starting to believe that religion is only for stupid people... again, I am so sorry to say that, but that's really what people like you make me think

  • we are not all going to die, but Geneva will experience serious..."complications"... and unfortunately these souls have made their bed... Geneva rests between mountains in a valley which is not a stable as they think and as a consequence the machine will produce exactly what they are asking for... Great spirit see and knows all.

  • what is CERN?

  • movie "Contact"

  • Who ever favorites im in i want to give you an invite to be my new bff

  • This LCH will be operational this spring 2009!

  • movie "The Quiet Earth"

  • INCREDIBLE AND SMART

  • ya well, it probably won't go until early 2010 or late 2009

  • Comment removed

  • I think the friction will cause a abundance of fire and therefore it will be a bomb. it can only be measured in quantum units of measure

  • a bomb? yea ohkay.

  • well then best to stay away

  • i wish it were that easy my friend. it will generates the equivalent forces of the bombs dropped in world war one! you cant stay away from that it is too much trouble and the energy and the heat and the weapons will likely cause problems with the many civillians in the general population of all humans

  • I cant wait till the LHC starts running again. Its very exciting!

  • do they know when they are going to turn it on? i cant wait either

  • the main hadron collision thats will proov higgs boson has been set back till 2010 onwards but miny collisions should take place in may onwards but they dont think they will be able to keep to that time lol

  • If they don't spend money on science, they will spend it on religion. So, it's better to spend money on science! ;)

  • Btw its NOT the roman calander that expires in 2012 dumbass.. mind my language its the mayan calender. just thought id bring it up, and if im wrong ahh well im only 13 anyway. plut i really hope they get it working in the summer 2009. =D

  • im a nerd when it comes to science in sats i got full amrks pluss extra marks.

in 2012 is when the roman calender expires so it is said that the world will end(dnt think so)

the lhc could not make a black hole because black hols are made when giant particles clash at the speed of light and the lhc uses tiny tiny particles so if there waz a black hole it would be tiny ane it will disapeer whithin 2 hours!

  • For such a "nerd" it sure seems that you can't actually spell..

  • ftw!!!!!!!

  • its the fucking mayan calendar not roman that ends in 2012

  • theres a reason y ur not a scientist...and theres a reason y we have real scientist

so give that a thought for a moment, y we do these? thats a good question maybe if ur a real scientist u can study for the answer but ur not

    so give it a break

  • totally

  • Great!!! Interesting, the nuclear research is very important for the future of the world...

  • shrink it mount a mother ship on top and move it into outerspace.think about it.

  • 'shrink it'

Huh? what with your magical shrink ray? Bud, I was willing to forgive some of the .. stupid things you've said in other threads of this type, but this, uh, takes the cake.

Besides, even if you could magically 'shrink' such a device, do you know how much it would cost, and how long it would take, to send such a payload into space?

We can't consider such experiments until we have a better method of reaching space (eg. a space elevator)

  • so then you do think its possible."we cant consider such a thing"until" we have....qouting your last sentence.its not like you and i agree.lets just call it a freek accident.dont you have some studying todo?

  • You are obsessed with accusing anyone who doesn't agree with you of being a child/teenager aren't you? I havn't been in a university class in years bud.

And no, we can't consider such a thing until we develop better/cheaper methods of propulsion.

It has cost billions, taken years, and taken many many flights to carry the respective components of the international space station into space, and its TINY compared to a 27km superconducting ring which has a mass of hundreds of thousands of tones

  • and no we cant consider such a thing.or did you mean yes it is possible in the future

  • *sigh*

This is what I said, I quote:

"We can't consider such experiments until we have a better method of reaching space (eg. a space elevator)"

Do you understand what I said? I said we can't consider such a project (now) UNTIL (aka IN THE FUTURE) we have a better method of reaching space (aka AGAIN IN THE FUTURE WHEN WE HAVE A BETTER METHOD OF REACHING SPACE !!)

  • so yes it is possible in the future just like i said.thank you

  • You never said anything about the future, you said:

"shrink it mount a mother ship on top and move it into outerspace.think about it."

and I don't have a crystal ball, I cannot see into the future, as it stands, there is no method of better propulsion, and no evidence there will be .. IF such discoveries are made, then so to will our future, as it stands though our only method of entering space is through chemical propulsion

  • if i say todo something i dont mean do it yesturday or ten minutes ago if it is a second later then it is in the future.i think your starting to understand.hang in there

  • mm, nope, don't understand you .. don't think I ever will, you don't make any sense at all, in any of your posts, in any of your threads lol. You call everyone else a child, but I seriously wonder if its you whose the kid

  • eww..nope i think i said you were young and will oneday understand.this will be my last reply to you.science is a wonderful thing.but when it comes to outerspace nasa has gotten ahead of itself.the pictures they show are misleading.they are reorganized pixaly pictures.maybe done so all people can understand what they are refering to.or maybe done to excite investers for more grants.its not a conspiracy theory but a observation of many years of viewing images from nasa

  • almost funny, but, nope, im a grown man and I work in the sciences every day lol. My field being biophysics, I happen to use particle accelerators frequently to obtain x-ray crystallographic data to infer the structure of the proteins I study

  • To bad they managed to break it...

  • EVERY new technology EVER built by human beings has had faults at its start. That is why CERN has additional magnets, and all other supplies necessary to repair the LHC very quickly (the timesink is in warming the sector back to RT).

It would have been VERY strange if a fault DID NOT occur at the LHC

  • what an amazing waste of human ingenuity not to mention time an money. If it creates a black hole...we deserve to die

  • rofl...thumbs up

  • @tongg02 why you say we deserve to die? If it is because of global warming OK I understand, but if it's not...

  • wats da point in dis?

  • Same point as all particle accelerators that have preceded it, to gain a greater understanding of the reality we reside in. ALL material sciences, most environmental sciences, and many medical sciences REQUIRE the information these devices provide to progress.

The LHC is not the first of its kind, such accelerators have been in commission since the 1930s and are responsible for most of the things you take for granted in life.

  • @CERN

It is now safe to conduct the test using the Hadron Collider.

Get that thing fixed, and lets get the show on the road!!

World events have changed, and as such the problems previously associated with your projects testing, can now be safely put to rest.
