Every once in a while I almost feel sorry for Bill, constantly getting his a** handed to him by more intelligent adversaries, by people who do their homework, by people who don't lie and by people who don't have the luxury of cutting his mic or telling him to "Shut Up". And the problem wasn't O'Reilly's so-called "misstatement," it was what Bill-O did and said once he was confronted with it. He went on the attack and lied again. Guaranteed, if he hadn't been busted on this "Peabody-Polk" lie, he'd STILL be saying it to "polish his own apple," as Al put it.

The point is that Bill O'Reilly lied about having made the statement at all. He denied saying he had won a Peabody, then he later says he just misspoke. Also, Franken didn't speak for 35 minutes. The entire thing (including the intro and the arguments) was only 24 minutes. So again, O'Reilly was just making facts up.
