OMFG it works.... to follow on with my trials and tribulations with my Bose speaker, got a Bluetooth USB adapter and basically you install the Blue Soleil software which comes with it and all is driven then by Blue Soleil (you don't use the Windows Bluetooth manager anymore)... then I was able to pair my device... I was a bit sceptic but heck it works....Merry Metal Christmas.. woo hooo
Fo those following my series, Bluetooth versus Bluetooth Season 1, I've got my bluetooth adapter but I won't be visiting my wireless Bose speaker residence to test it for another 3.5 weeks, so I'll report back then lol (if this helps anyone in the future)
Just got an answer from Bose. If you want to pair this speaker with your pc/laptop your Bluetooth on your host must have the A2DP profile (comes with Bluetooth ver 2.0 or higher). All the laptops I tried clearly didn't have this profile. So peeps if it was your intention to use your speaker with a computer, check your Bluetooth first to avoid disappointment. I have ordered myself a Bluetooth dongle now which does support A2DP, I'll just have to hope... worst case scenario=use cable
Just got this device, it will pair with my phone but the reason I got it was to pair with a laptop. It won't pair with 2 that I have tried, a HP Paviloin and Sony Vaio. Windows doesn't find a suitable driver for the device and when trying to install something from the Broadcom webiste which is supposed to be new drivers, I get an error that the programm cannot update my device and I must refer to the manufacturer. Well my laptop doesn't have newer drivers available, it's not supported
yeah i have this and its great, until i erased it off my phone and reset the memory on the device, and now it won't reconnect do you have any suggestions?
awwww, thanks for the vid. now i can pair mi ipod touch 4gen.
