A flashing red light simply means something isn't ready. Could be no beans in the grinder, the drawer with the used grounds isn't closed, yada yada. Just open and remove stuff and put back. May have to turn machine off then on again.
Someone gave me one of these coffee machines. It hasn't been used in a couple years. I was following your directions but I get a red flahing light...above the green one that you pressed twice. Do you know what that means? I haven't been able to find an actual user manual online...for some reason.
