60 years or more in captivity. It's a major commitment - kinda like having a kid. But for the right person, it can be a best friend. Buy a hand fed baby and mold it into a wonderful pet. Ever heard the expression that there's no bad kid, just bad parents? Kinda the sad with parrots. Do your research and make sure it's a good fit. Be happy to answer any and all your questions. We have an Umbrella Cockatoo, a Yellow Naped Amazon, a Blue Fronted Amazon all of which are close to being completely weaned. They are all fantastic and make wonderful family pets! We have 1 Blue and Gold Macaw that is only about a month old and needs another 2 to 1/2 months to be completely weaned. Let us know if any of these babies interest you.

We have only (1) that is about 3 weeks from being completely weaned and others that are only days old.... all the ones inbetween are sold already. They take about 3.5 to 4 months to wean. We require a deposit to hold a baby.

We breed our own parrots. Don't ever buy eggs from anyone - it's a horrible scam. Eggs NEED to be incubated - they need to be warm at all times - a certain temperature and all. The people that sell eggs online are scammers and it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to hatch. They ship infertile eggs! Don't fall for it!!

Sorry, we're much cheaper than most people and we can get $900 all day long. We have deposits on eggs. Apparently the price is so good that people are willing to wait. We raise babies that are fantastic family pets and have never had an unhappy customer!

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We have been just TOO busy! Very seldom does a parrot stay friendly when they get a mate. If they are still a great pet after all these years and they're not acting sexually frustrated (sometimes aggressive and /or anxious) I'd not add another friend. Just keep them a treasured pet. If they're happy and you're happy - I'd just keep it that way.

At least 26" x 38" x 66"...... or very close to these measurements. No smaller - if you had only one room to live in; wouldn't you want it big? They need to be able to move around the cage and get exercise. Plan to buy or make a play stand on wheels too. Your bird will want to be near you :-).

They are both great birds! We sell more Blue and Golds as they are more economical for most people. If you're not intimidated by the larger beak of a GW - they are fantastic! They are known as the "poor man's Hyancinth".

B&Gs are $900 and we are presently sold out at this time. We pull new eggs every couple weeks or so if you can wait.

GWs are $1300 and we do have a baby just a couple weeks old that is not being held with a deposit at this time.

Sorry - we should be more specific..... when a baby is weaned, it just means that he's/she's no longer eating from the Mom or being hand-fed by a person. He/She is actually eating on their own. We feed our parrots pelleted bird food along with fruits and vegetables for a healthy diet.
