@TERACEPHIL Well, sort of. If I remember the story correctly, it takes place in a part of the galaxy that got "disconnected" by a collapsing jump point some centuries ago.

While the "movie" portion of P2 had some pretty neat stuff, I hated the game itself. Partly because it had no real connection to the WC universe, but also because a lot of the content and gameplay for P2 was lifted from an old 8-bit game called Elite. They even copied the old game's radar system!

And privateer 2 was a bullshit game that basiclly ended Orgin System's Rule over FMV games.

I really hated that ending. It was even worse then the design of the starfighters you had to buy. The "best" spaceship looked like some futuristic 1965 US-car without wheels. Ridiculous.

I loved the movies in this game, so many surprises in the cast! Its the only reason I bought it way back then.

Most space sim games are ridiculous, no real space physics, not even close, very few space sim games are even worth playing. At least this one had good movies. Thanks for posting this! I wish I could buy all of these movies in one easy package.

I remember this game. It was ridiculous. You simply ran into ships, which stopped them, then you could destroy them easily.

It was more annoying with the cruisers. And lets not mention when one enemy ship jumps right after another.

The convoy escort missions were the most annoying. You would jump and your ship wouldn't and then you would try to compensate by jumping after the ship but by that time it would have vanished.
