@ItsMrWinters lots of cutting. But we fit v6's into these all day long. An Audi V8 has been fit in the MK1 MR2 sitting North-South. In fact the same audi V8 and transmission have been fit into a 2000+ MR2 Spyder.
@wdstrongjr yeah i've heard of 3vz's in one but fitting audi's v8 longitudinally? wouldn't that ask for a full drivetrain swap? i mean the flywheel and clutch would have to face forward and im sure theres not much room for the tranny so a custom made tranny housing would have to be done - wouldn't that make the interior smaller due to a larger transmission housing? i mean the shifter cables would be shortened and a large transmission would be facing N-S

You say that your wrx will always be worth more yet trying finding an all Trac celica, they are hard to find and when you do they are expensive for a car that is almost 20 yrs old but I go down the road and there is a dealership giving away wrxs for about $22,000 and I'd rather pay for the celica than the "new and improved technology" on a wrx

It was the first that proved it was posible to fit something other than a four banger and something bigger than a V6. I think the best so far is the Audi V8 powered MR2 Spyder in England. Though Paul Wood's BMW V12 MK2 MR2 is pushing that one down the line as he builds it.

@brapboys503 Last I checked there was only 1 iteration of the 2ZZ and that was the 2ZZ-GE. On a side note, they're decent engines if you know what to do with them.
one is American and one is Japanese. One was designed more as a sporty car (Fiero) and one more as a two place run-about (MR2). Both are good cars. They both had their issues, but were mostly fixed before manufacturing stopped.

The extra 50hp is given when the 3 phase alternator is removed, no power steering is in the system, no mechanical water pump, and a host of other items.The 5.5" 3-plate clutch helps, the 6-speed F40 box, the larger injectors, the CHRF camshafts... should I continue smart boy?

The car is gonna fucking fly when your done wit it, especially the late 80's style, those things are like go-karts, but put nice fatty tires on there x-p, 2200lbs+v8=crazy burnouts
well the problem is not really getting power from a V8. that is the easy part. the hard part is cooling such a monster. there is not much room for airflow, and you will have some series issues finding a transaxle that will bolt to it that will take the power. Most people that hang out on U-tube and are looking at modifying a MR2 are not one that can afford $30,000+ for a Quaiffe transaxle that can take the power. :)
Id like to do the same with a 86 mr2, the car is VA/non-repairable... so its got only two options in its future, the scrap yard or the race track. your using the 4.6 from a caddi, I want to see if i can drop somthing less luxury, and more power (vett 350, stag 5.0) plz show a vid of the toyostar movin on the track, or highway to see its response time, and the body shifting after the massive weight gain.

Hit a deer a few weeks back with it. But getting it rebuilt just like new. I should have it welded and painted and done in 2 weeks.

although the fiero is american and mr2 is japanese the fiero was a piece it was a very problematic car and that is why it was only made for 4 years

@kws45fl biggest difference is, the fiero is plastic and fiberglass versus the MR2 is steel. Plus, the MR2 has way more R&D in it.

WhooTheHellIsBooBoo. There is no need to post language like that. It just really shows how smart you really are not. The extra 50hp is given when the 3 phase alternator is removed, no power steering is in the system, no mechanical water pump, and a host of other items.The 5.5" 3-plate clutch helps, the 6-speed F40 box, the larger injectors, the CHRF camshafts... should I continue smart boy?

@wdstrongjr F40 Tranny bolted on what kind of engine, im putting a 3800 supercharged in my fiero i would like to put the G6 6speed manuel transmission F40 is it easy to fit in the fiero to a L67 ?

well the problem is not really getting power from a V8. that is the easy part. the hard part is cooling such a monster. there is not much room for airflow, and you will have some series issues finding a transaxle that will bolt to it that will take the power. Most people that hang out on U-tube and are looking at modifying a MR2 are not one that can afford $30,000+ for a Quaiffe transaxle that can take the power. :)

Id like to do the same with a 86 mr2, the car is VA/non-repairable... so its got only two options in its future, the scrap yard or the race track. your using the 4.6 from a caddi, I want to see if i can drop somthing less luxury, and more power (vett 350, stag 5.0) plz show a vid of the toyostar movin on the track, or highway to see its response time, and the body shifting after the massive weight gain.
