@DDUFubar Actually, Activision is kind of a crappy publisher nowadays. Take the whole Modern Warfare fiasco.

However, Raven Software - the company who actually developed this game - is great, and has been around for a long time. I wish their more recent games were better funded, though. As for CoD, they were actually developed by Infinity Ward and Treyarch. Activision is only the publisher.

Unfortunately what I've seen of the game, despite its Russian-ness seems to be taking classes in storytelling from at the BioShock school, as in, have every flashback, audio log, and ghostly apparition conveniently placed.

Puzzle solving looks cheap and gimmicky too.

What I like is how the combat seems to work. No slow-mo gimmick or anything, you actually use time as a weapon rather than for defense. The ability to create orange barrels and such seems neat.
