  • Man Rollins was right about these guys

  • what an act this lot was. bit like a punk version of judas priest.

  • lennys dead good tune

  • Nearly all fans of those bands, that Metallica covered, are crying how bad Metallica is and blah blah blah.

It´s just sad that there is hardly any respect in music nowadays.

Nobody cares if you listen to Metallica or not, so wipe your tears off and listen to that music you want without talking bullshit that´s not even true about other bands ;)

  • @Metalmoe94 metallica is not music, its corpret shit

  • great tune

  • ANL > Metallica. That is all.

  • watch?v=AIk7bPmrXKc

  • Romantic

  • We stole ANL's equipment. A nice Mesa-Boogie amp. 2,000 dollars. 20 years ago at a club on Gratiot in Detroit. So piss off then.

  • Fuck Metallica. They're a fucking far step from punk. Who cares about James Hetfield's influences? (the boring little cunt, might I add). Every musician has a wide range of influences, they won't all be the same genre or else there'd never be any diversity in music. Please stop preaching about a metal band. No hate to anyone who likes both punk and metal. Just don't shove it down our throats.

  • @nomicealoud this is thrash not punk.

  • @TheWickerMan1995 Actually Anti-Nowhere League are punk. So no, you're wrong...sorry...

  • @funsizedcupcake actually, wolverines claws are bone, not metal

  • @Alphabex8 Yeah, 'k faggot!

  • @funsizedcupcake yeah, my point was to show how nerdy you sound arguing over what genre this band is. but sure, call me the faggot, retard

  • @TheWickerMan1995 are you retarded

  • @nomicealoud dont be hating! The boys were on this side of the OCEAN. at that time right here in southern california destroying the clubs here at that same time. l say if Lemmy loves em then its cool to me and about five jillion other people! who also i might add also love these guys too. Pay respect.

  • @Megadeaf75 I didn't disrespect it. But I don't think an Anti-Nowhere League video is the place to talk about Metallica. I don't like Metallica, fine, but I didn't come on here announcing that before I seen people going on about them. Where is the relevance?

  • @nomicealoud And fuck you too, Metallica fucking rules along with the Anti_Nowhere League.

  • classic...

  • How much better is this than the folky original.... Great

  • @susejsausage - Nice mentioning, I've heard the original before but since listening this I might check out the origingal again. Although ANL's version is pretty crude I still like it a lot and streets of london by ANL is where i first heard this song from. Sinead O'Connor also does a cover of streets of london haha.

  • metallica started b4 the league

  • @TheThetechnician Bullshit !

  • @weekendhippy go and smoke another bong hippy...fry whats left of your brain hahahahahaha

  • @TheThetechnician Yeah mate and youve been doing to much head banging .Now Fuck off

  • @weekendhippy so much anger and hatred haha, get back down the public toilets you fukn rock spider. .... one thing we all know is never trust a hippy...they are all drug fukd nowheres

  • Smthg on the streets of London that'll make u really sick... True!

  • I didn't know rob halford played guitar with ANL......

  • fuck punk

    untallented, small dick rejects

  • @thereinr2 you know this from experience do you faggot

  • I've seen them live :D they played this song, fucking great

  • I say, what a perfectly horrid nasty common accent. :)

  • Reminds me of some Skrewdriver but I do believe they took it trom anti

  • @marley8375 MURDER SKREWDRIVER ! !

  • love it

  • long live the animal top band

  • love it

  • I respect the punk scene very much because of the attitude, honesty and strong anti-political message, but musicaly speaking this is realy bad... no dynamics, no creativity, no groove and no feeling like the original song which is very beautiful by Ralf McTell... it's like somebody cover "Yesterday" from The Beatles with no musicality and make just big noise lol... But still... Better this than todays pop and electro music,.

  • One of my favorite ANL songs :)

  • just uploaded my first attempt at a cover of this song, not sure if everyone will like it, but please please have a little listen, would be much appreciated! :) x

  • several bands came out iof that era. Sham 69 UK SUBS saw thwm play in the early 80's in Toronto

  • @wobbie1263 what are you talking about, sham and subs were late 70s, and pure punk, although similar sounds , totally diff energy and attitude

  • We're all fucked.

I tried to change things from the inside but couldn't do it myself.

    Your old retired cop...

    Need another proper revolution kids...

  • good memories, great song

  • In the Dadian dialectic of phonographic emissions this noteworthy conjoined cornucopia of noisy stuff takes the biscuit me old matey.

  • No other music can surpass the ANL. Never heard any other better.

  • I was there when they started, listened and enjoyed it.

still follow and all i can say is " i be a rocker til' the day i die..."

  • LivesUnderABridge deserves an award for that comment. Seriously.

  • One of the best songs from a great album. Anti Nowhere League and G.G. Allin werethe real punk rock and no one can argue

  • @ducati900fe081 gg was what he ate,crap.

  • One of the best songs from a great album

  • Attack on London was a inside job to justify war on terror, on the day of London attack 10,000 CCTV cameras were switched off. click justice party UK.

  • the wankers are crankers in a land that doesnt care!

  • the best, when punk was punk before all the new pc idiots of today, long live the League, i bought this record in 1982, no internet, i had to travel 6 hours to a major city and find the underground record store on my own, it was the only way to get punk records, fighting long hair idiots everywhere, 30 years later punx are still been brough down by long hair idiots that infiltrated the scene, now the internet can make you punk in 1 minute

  • @punxfutbol LMAO....So what you're telling us is.... travelling on a train for a couple of hours/ buying a record/ and having a phobia about people with long hair makes you a punk? Errrm....actually it makes you a bit of a sad twat!

  • @Loobs666 man you are a brainless one aren't you... no vision. Doing that shit in 1982 was fucking hard core. I just hitched 5600 miles in 14 days and I would trade my experience for his. Totally punk. Remember no internet, no google maps, no google, you have find the place in a zine, get a fucking map, get schedules, and he didn't say "fearing" long hairs, he said FIGHTING them. That is punk as fuck so go piss off.

  • @avidmoviefan How the Fuck do you manage to hitch when the old saying 'Brain in Neutral, thumb up Arse' is totally applicable to you? Point 1) Travelling 6 hours in the UK to a major city in 1982 means nothing... the roads were jammed and British Rail was in chaos, as is the norm. Point 2) The long haired phobia quote referred to...'30 years later punx are still been brough (sic) down by long hair idiots that infiltrated the scene'....Hippy Phobia shit... learn to read, fuckwit!

  • @avidmoviefan I would you to understand the complexities of what I do, you are retarded. There is help for your kind

  • @punxfutbol That is an amazing story man. I am a professional hitchhiker and world fucking traveler and that is more punk than punk... fucking amazing. I wish I had that memory.

  • |m| awante el punk

  • fucking right on

  • roger whitticker lives

  • Great stuff

  • PUNKS NOT DEAD

  • Went to a ANL gig on Union Street in Plymouth..it was bonkers! Nothing like that would ever exist today....it was a health and safety nightmare! Brilliant!

  • punk/hc + metal = thrash

  • Comment removed

  • metal isnt dead we are going through a rough patch with all the hardcore bullshit and dude metallica aint metal no more and neither is slash so they wont be bringing shit back im a thrasher we are influenced by punk and i love the fuck out of it man especially ANL

  • @padrino247 thrasher ;)

  • And have you seen the old girl who walks the streets of London?

  • These guys kick ass live!!!

  • muito foda vagabundo

  • Remembers me my time in the army... its pure nostalgy

  • good song, but wtfs the singer doing :O

  • awight me ole cockaaaaa?

  • THIS BAND ARE BRILLIANT!

  • metals dead too, fuckin gay. old shit is the shit.

  • @rahoo5757 suck my ass they are a sick band listen to the words an envision what they are saying

  • @hbombharry Listen to Ralph McTell, and REALLY get it.

  • @hbombharry What? is this about my comment on how a lot of the new metal now days really isn't metal? i know theirs alot of good underground shit where i live but most "metal" now sucks, like a vacuum.

  • @rahoo5757 Metal isn't dead ! Metal and hardrock will come alive these years with thanks to Slash and Metallica oh btw punk sucks bunch of fucking idiots look at the hair of that people.

  • @Fyrusz Metallica, Metallica... Oh you mean the band highly influenced by Punk and actually covered the song "so what" originally by this very band and, in one instant, brought Animal (the singer) onstage with them to perform it. Also, this "Slash" fella... oh you mean the guy who played with Guns N' Roses, that band who got big by supporting the punk band: FEAR...

  • @FreakBoi2008 Metallica is influenced by Led zeppelin and Black Sabbath and your right about Guns N' Roses but they suck at the moment and slash is solo on this moment so fuck Guns N' Roses.....

  • @Fyrusz *sigh* YES they were influenced by Sabbath, Zeppelin, Maiden etc. but they are also heavily influenced by punk. James Hetfield has, on various occasions, stated that he is influenced by the fast riffs of punk and even has stated that his fast downpicking ability was acquired through playing along to Ramones songs. Also, Dave Mustaine, who had a very large part in the formation of Metallica, has covered The Sex pistols' "anarchy in the UK" with Megadeth.

  • @FreakBoi2008

I don't see why everyone's making such a big deal about Metallica and who James Hetfield was influenced by. Metallica fucking sucks. I can only listen to a guy say, "Ohhhhh YEAHHHH!!1!!!" with fire coming out of the stage for so long before I start thinking the KoolAid Man started his own metal band.

  • @LivesUnderABridge the only reason I was talking about it was that some dude was going on about how punk sucks but metallica are great. I was just trying to illustrate that, without punk, metallica wouldn't exist and, therefore, hating on punk is a bit like Christians hating on the jews... wait...

  • @FreakBoi2008

    Ah, I see.

    Yes then. Carry on.

  • @FreakBoi2008 Thats true, Metallica's first album totally ripped off a bunch of awesome punk songs from the best punk bands of the time.

  • @warlordzephyr thats the time the scene got lame and sold out

  • @FreakBoi2008 You should get an some sort of merit badge for this comment. ;)

  • @LivesUnderABridge metal > punk

  • @pepi560 both sucks now "sad but true"

  • @deathnote62 haha

  • @LivesUnderABridge Metallica don't suck! It's your opinion.

  • @LivesUnderABridge oh men, you're so wrong, actually im laughing at you and your coment hahaha poor lil bastard

  • @LivesUnderABridge hey do you think james hetfield was influenced by anti-nowhere league? any thoughts?

  • Destroyer!!!!!

    Punks & Skins United

    Cheers from Brazil!

SÃO PAULO FUTEBOL CLUBE - T.T.I

  • Yeah, we all learned from that time, didn´t we! Miss it! Love´d it!

  • oh now i know who was gg allin's influence. the padlock on neck and axe in hand, also so what is pure gg's style.

  • polyethylene bags :)

  • Are you smoking shit?

  • Garry Bushell a Tory ponce who glorified BNP bullshit & football hooliganism. Totally irrelevant, like this band. Pish.

100% pish. I remember when they came to my home town I made no attempt to go & see them. Because they are shit. End of Story.

  • Hooliganism=NS? yeah, ok. You're smoking shit for sure... Just because they glorified football hooliganism doesn't mean they're nazi... Please study more about hooliganism too, hooliganism is more than just fight between football firms...

  • long time ago it was one of the hottest bands, i watched them in Arnhem..ufff how punk we were those days

  • ok tune, but total sex pistols ripoff..

  • and what the fuck would you know?

  • so what so what so what you boring little **** so what!!!

  • I can see some Barry McGuire influence in his singing.

  • nah thats alcohol thats influencing his vocals

  • i'm pretty sure the bad guy from Mad Max is the singer.

  • It's possible, but are you sure you're not confusing him with Angry Anderson, the lead singer of Rose Tattoo, who was in Mad Max 3?

  • I just watched the first one, and he looks like him a lot.

  • @Ocelot59468 cheers to rose tattoo

  • @iceuk1 youre being a dick . would you rather none of the younger folk got into punk just because they werent there when it started ? let it die out with our fossilised asses ??? no . its fucking great taht kids are still gettin into this even now .. its a testament to the music, the attitude , the way of life .

  • @rubyhorror naw man. i just think hes talking about youtube punks. they are like 16 year olds who think they know everything about punk in general and say whats punk and not. its foolish, i like to go to shows and listen to what the old farts have to say about the earlier days. im not gonna act lie I know more than them

  • @iceuk1 heh. i appreciate that. I'm only 14, and i hate when kids my age pretend to know everything. im just here for knowledge.

  • saw them live at force attack, and had a little with chris, great band^^

  • the dude just asks why one is dressed like a gay nazi/biker... you guys just dont get it fucktards

  • he is defenly not a nazi lol might b a skinhead but ill think hes an anarchist

  • Well,i'm female and i think he looks quite cool.Maybe they should call him a gay nazi to his face and there's nothing wrong with a little bit of anarchy either

  • They r not nazis you . r u people stupid

  • how bad was it? i've been thinking about pulling that same stunt this year....

  • this is a mint song

  • great band, i have always wondered why the bassist dressed like a gay nazi though.

  • all nazis are gay

  • Why he dressed lika a Gay nazi?

haha. He wanna show some Nazis are gays. Thats why xD

  • none of them are dressed as nazis dumbass

  • @Massgraven The Bassplayer look like Rob Halford

  • it's called skin head,not nazi

  • no i know there are differences between skinheads and nazis, its just the leather hat lol. To be fair he probably just took the look from Rob Halford at the time, and hes definitely not a nazi.

  • @Nofuture91 its a Hells Angels Style...and Halford Style to...very bad ass

  • Blink 182 is (look at the comment down)

  • Passed me by at the time (sadly unlike the Ralph McTell version!!) so many thanks to Ashes to Ashes last week for bringing ANL (albeit mostly anonymously) to c7m people. As a related digression, did you realise The Fall starred inSilence of the Lambs with Hip Priest??
