it was released, then they closed all the servers 2 weeks after the release.... now another company bought the rights to the game and are fixing a few things with it, the new APB will be called APB: Reloaded and will be totally free to play and to own. will come sometime 2012 thats all the info i have atm.

@huddzzii Incorrect. RTW released the game, it was online for roughly 3 months. I'd rather not discuss theory on the failure but in short they ran out of money. APB was purchased by G1 and is being re-released under the name APB:Reloaded. The game is currently in-between closed and open beta. If you want to join the beta sign up on the G1 site and they will send you a key in the next wave OR the game will go open beta, whichever comes first. The game is now free to play with a cash shop. Enjoy!

I mean the coding is bad, so the Performance is really laggy, loading times are huge and most of all the ballance is crap. There many moments, where you have to fight People with weapons that are 5 Times better than yours.

But i gotta say it is fun to play, the idea behind this is very good. But after some Time it gets too depressing due to the imbalance and the lag..

RAIDS in this game are going to be sweet. Reminds me of PS. I hate having side-person perspective. I want all 1st-person as an option. I can picture it on a Chaos Server. 50 people in a motor keg going off to bust up a drug house or something. I also believe that criminals should be able to set up drug houses and the like.
