that house is of the victorian style, but to me its missing things to have been built during the victorian era. im assuming it was a remake built within the past 20 years? otherwise not only a huge loss to the family but also a loss of history
I live in cold spring and i go to the girl who lives there's school, her name is jessica. Its really sad, their dog actuayll died in the fire :*( but i really think its annoying how when people see something like this or like wherever a police alarm is people just gothere and watch and take pictures... SERIOUSLY mind ur own business! imagine if u were in their place! Would you like a whole crowd of people behind u taking videos and pictures!
@lovebug1617 i was there my aunt lives in the brick house on over. she talked to the family and what they remember most was how all of the neighbors came out to help them*. not how they lost all of their possessions or their dog.
*(their dogs were running around b/c they didnt have time to grab leashes, so we took them into our home. also the closer neighbors vinyl houses were melting and their fences were catching on fire so we grabbed hoses to put them out. it took the FD hours to get there)
@lovebug1617 i agree think how much better a world it would be if someone helped you when your down instead of filming you at your worst and putting it up on you tube kinda the root reason our country is in the toilet
unbelievable! my husband & I took a motorcycle ride today and saw this demolished house. It used to be such a beautiful home - what a shame! glad no one was hurt
I watched that it was terrible. The fire was so high behind the cameraman, of whom i saw filming with his mac, was a pretty high hill. you could see the sparks and smokes from the bottom of that hill.
This Gladys Kravitz can't even get her info straight. Try Austria not Australia and who even knows if it's truth? Anyway, shouldn't neighbors be consoling? UGH!
i am the neighbor in the house next door. mr. harrison told me that the fire was started by them having a austrailian christmas. they were holding sparklers around the tree and the tree caught on fire and made the house explode. any questions just ask me. i will check this video everyday! i know a lot about this. any concerns or questions post them here. thank you and have a great day!!!
I live like 5 seconds away from this house and 11 firetrucks/ambulances went by my house to the fire. It so sad because all the work that was put into it is now destroyed. and now everyone needs to pass by the remaining house to get to school because the house was on the road the bus's use to get there. My Family and I went down to see how bad it was and you can see in to one of the daughters room's:-(
im part of one of the responding departments, and i can safely say it took more than an hour to knock out. +3 and we were there for a total of 6..
also, it's pretty apparent that you all know the woman who's house this is. as a tight community id expect that, but please respect her privacy and dont try and be on the "inside" of the story. it's already pretty annoying that you guys have the facts wrong..ask your local firedepartment for the story, and give these people their privacy.
haha wait did you just say to ask the local FD for the story and then give them the privacy? lmao...if you ask about what happend, then privacy is apparently out the window.
i did not intend this video to be the gossip for all of cold spring to see, but i put these videos up to let the fire departments see how they put up with these fires, and to show what they did right and what they could have done wrong, im sure i'm not the only one there that were taking photos, and many of putnams FD's have pictures of it all over the web. sure it may be upsetting to the family, but thats another part of the firefighting service.
were you by any chance one of the civilians at the back of the house helping out? im not attacking your video for the record nor do i think its wrong to have the video on the web, however i am hoping to stop the spread of misinformation. As part of the FF code of conduct i can't release all the details id like to, hence the ask your dept. part. i dont want to violate the families privacy in anyway, so all i will say is +2 alarm fire. +1hr to knock out and check the paper for more details.

the fire was actually caused by a christmas tree. Too many wires in one outlet.

you have a point, and i did contradict myself.
i only mean if you want any more details rely on the fd to give 'em out, not youtube or town gossip.
i trust that all fds will make the right decision in disclosing information.
probably about +100 firefighters there, so lots of people to ask.
just imagine if this was your house burning down, on youtube.
