@doomrules Certainly possible there was some civil war fighting going on in the area previously.. and the area where it was has lots of problems with arson, and from what I heard, there is illegal activities going on at a big builing across the street, and if you try to walk up to it you will get fired upon.. so, it could certainly be classified as a hostile area even now.

@zooplop I just use a Sony ICD-B16 digital recorder. I have tried some others that didn't work as well. I'm sure many other models work just as well, though.

yep, trying to warn you "keep out of the hostile area" this may be interpreted as a ghost that is haunting somewhere warning its human arrivals that it's near a hostile area = a well meaning ghost?

However if you hear "we have a hostile area" it could indicate the ghost feels threatened taht you have a arrived and is commenting on this to itself?

it could also be a ghost kind of on repeat.

like those ones you see on the London underground, patrolling the tunnels at a certain time, because that used to be their jobs, it's sorta like a broken record.

maybe he was a soldier or sargent in the army or something? and is replaying a certain tragic moment in his life where they had to 'get out of the hositle area' etc.

Is that a Cherokee area? I can almost hear another word come up over the "area" and it sounds like it might be "Cherokee" (that might also explain the "hostile area"). Otherwise, you've interpreted it the way I hear it.
