I think this is a great list , for a switch here and there but pretty much this list is good. The top three are GREAT Aretha, Whitney, and Kathleen. Aretha with her versatile voice, Whitney with her dynamic power, but I have to say i love Kathleen just has a perfect voice (doesn't matter if she sings opera she's amazing)
COMU ASSIM MARIOAH CAREY EM 6° NUNK NA VIDA LOL....ELA CONPETIU COM A WH E GANHOU DE LAVADA E COM A ARETHA TBM...ESSE TREM TA ERRADO MEU BEM....VAI VER NOTICIARIO
@LeydianeNatalia Sorry I only speak english. I'm not sure if that is Spanish or what. From what I can understand, you disagree with the rankings. Well this was personal rankings. These are my favorite living vocalists.
@MrStyle23 this is what tht person said "how is mariah carey in 6 place? never in life lol she had a competition with wh and won and also with aretha franklin. this thing is wrong my darling. go see the news" :) thts my translation and your welcome lol
@GUGU2101 You're wrong and that person is also. Mariah Carey is in 6th place because I like 5 singers better than her. She would be further down the list if I included dead and men singers. These are MY favorite living voices.
Personally I don't think Aretha Franklin is in the same category with Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston. Aretha is in the same category of true legends: Ella Fitzgerald, Mahalia Jackson, and Sarah Vaughan.
@MrStyle23 okay i dont think you got it! im not the person who said that i was just translating to try to help you :) lol i mean i love mariah but its not me the person who said tht, i was just translating what that person was commenting in portuguese :)
@MrStyle23 I was with you ALL the way until you said WHITNEY is not in the same category! Let's not sip wine and get besides ourselves. Whitney is the VOICE...and its DAMN sure for a reason! It honestly don't get much better as a package. I definately give honor and respect to All The Great ones you named but dont be foolish. Whitney voice in her prime is definately a CLASSIC meaning it will stand tall thru the test of Time.
@topofdaworldsurvivor If I'm sipping wine, you're on crack. Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan are originators. Whitney Houston was a great voice and I love her music very much. By the way I'm not looking for you to agree with me. I don't really care about your opinion. As this video is about my favorite living female voices.
@MrStyle23 I'm going to show some class because obviously you feel offended. And I don't care whether you care or not about my opinion, but thats why they put a REPLY button so people can comment on postings. Here is the definition of LEGEND! Noun:1.a collection of stories about an admirable person. 2.a person who is the center of such stories: She became a legend in her own lifetime. So please try and convince urself WHITNEY(The FUCKING VOICE and YOUR #2 SMH) would not fit these definitions?
@MrStyle23 So you can argue other names and I wont debate but MS HOUSTON deserves her RESPECT and she is definately a living LeGEND.Aretha is to Whitney what James Brown is to Michael Jackson
@bighare08 Yea, I went with all currently living singers. I'm sure the list would have been different if I would have included the dead. Ella Fitzgerald would have def. been in the top 5.
Also these are my top favorite singers not necessarily the greatest singers. I think it just happens that some of my favorites are on the greatest list as well.
The Opera singer is Ms. Kathleen Battle. Please do listen to her. I recommend starting with her "So Many Stars" album. It's a "cross over" album. With both Jazz and Spirituals. I think you will at least appreciate her voice.
I did read the title, i just said that as a joke (i.e. "lol"). Wasn't trying to offend. You have great taste in singers, I would chosen 4 of them in my top ten. God bless, man and keep up the good work.
Liposuction can't take that much weight off of a person. It's only so much weight can be lost by Lipo. I don't know how Vickie lost the weight but she's looking good.
I don't know about lipo, but I do know she had a tummy tuck and that's what she talked about in her ebony interview. But hey she looks good, whateva it was/...lol
Vickie was sick, I'm not sure how much it has to do with her weight lost. I know it did happen around that time though. I still love her voice and she is just one of the funniest and real people in the industry.
glitter is a good piece but seems to be not many peoples know

I agree with the top two Ms. Franklin, Ms. Houston, but personally I don't know about The opera singer being number three,
Mariah, Yolanda,Chaka,Vicki,Toni, Jennifer,Shanice, and then the opera singer.
I guess I'll have to start listening more to that kind of music, and maybe one day it may grow on me...
