NASCAR was still considered a southern redneck thing in those days and Charlotte was known for NWA "rasslin" and NASCAR, not much else. @BradNC11175 Next to Alabama, Tennessee has it the hardest for wetbacks to settle in. It's a major pain in the ass, but to get a driver's license, you need to prove citizenship AND residency. And unlike Georgia, they don't pay 'em to breed. North Carolina is the only Southern state that gives driver's licenses to known illegals. Georgia is full of 'em that went to NC to get a license and register their vehicles. You 'uns over yonder should oughta clean all that up afore they start spillin over.

You are correct. Rude left around May/June of 1987 without dropping the belts, so Ivan Koloff took his place briefly and then they showed clips of the R &R beating Rude and Bull in a non-title match that took place months before. Always thought it was a little uncool for Rude not to job before he left. Even Tully and Arn did the emergency 1 day notice job before they left, even though Tully was pissed at management at the time.
