Sometimes the fly masks get cranked on too tight on the jaw muscle. Or, he could be wanting attention and it just became a bad habit. It looked like in the #1 video you were standing closer and in #2 you were further away and he did it less? Interesting. When I'm in doubt about my geldings doing weird things, I finally just clean their sheaths real good and things settle down. There are places on their bodies that they can't reach very well.
We discovered the cause. The cause of his headshaking is when he knocks his neck/head joint out of whack. He does when he twists his head and reaches under the corrals looking for that stray bit of hay. I found someone who does CST (cranial sacral therapy) and puts him back in alignment. I subsequently ran hot wire around his corral to keep him from reaching under. Riley is managing quite well. Yeah!
