at first when you are on the ground it looks like the blocks are scattered at random, but zoomed out, holy crap that is awesome. you used the different block types to recreate textures, shading and highlights, it one of those pics you only can see from the sky.

Why is everyone so amazed, worldedit has a script to build png images into minecraft, he just did the same thing.

@x3Roenie No I didn't, actually. As I've said many times, I used mcedit to carve the space, then I placed the blocks individually by myself. I used spritecraft to get a "map" of the blocks, yes, but I still placed them by myself.
