maybe cuz England is a land of white ppl and this movie makes white ppl look bad and Oscars are 90% run by white ppl...obviously they will not give the awards to the movie that makes them look bad :s

you got that right.slumdog was no better than any bollywood film they make nowdays. but to get 8 oscars is very surprising, lagaan went 4 the emmys but did not get the critics although it was about 100 times better than slumdog.
