"We'll Never Know" and "Chapter One" seem like they could be referring to this too. I thought that "We'll Never Know" was supposed to be about a relationship even though Jason had already been married for several years. But Jason said that when they didn't know if they would get signed, the other group members weren't sure if they were going to stay so I think maybe this song was to them.

feels that he's lost touch with but to me it sounds like he's talking to God, like he feels that he's moved away from God. And now he realizes that he's made a mistake and he's following where he feels God is leading him ("All the lights there leading to where you're going. I'm not far behind."). A lot of the songs on this album seem like they deal with the tenuous status of Lifehouse's future. Jason said that he wrote "Days Go By" when he wasn't sure what was going to happen and "All In All",

I think Jason might be saying that his dream of continuing in music is unnatainable and unrealistic. "Is it all over before it's begun?", could refer to how they became famous and popular so quickly and then here they were SC didn't do that well & no recording label. maybe the song is about a relationship breakdown caused by her leading him down a blind alley not being honest about some secret burning issue that is too hot for her to handle or to talk about, he misses her so much and wants to be with her, and support her, even though this secret burning issue is going to burn them both, like falling into the sun.

I love this song so much..this cd helped me get thru depression..listen to it almost everyday. I believe the meaning of this song is going out into life doing what you want and growing up..leaving home..and finding it difficult but good at the same time.
