It's not awkward. I know it's hard for some to get used to the idea that we have a president who actually knows how to get along with others and exhibits good will and improves our relations with the world. But try to adapt. It's a good thing. Rather than half the asinine GOP candidates who are painfully geographically challenged and exhibit foreign policy depth akin to an eight-year old.
