  • Nothing brought me here apart from the fact that i have loved this record for over 20 years!

  • I keep coming back to New Order and Joy Division...They're a class act!

  • I keep coming back to New Order and Joy Division...Fuckin class!

  • pretty in pink <3 w <3 I absolutely adore this song, very different to the music i usually listen to metal. This is amazing <3

  • My love to New Order and Joy Division brought me here. Nothing else.

  • el bajo es wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • This let me remind a bit to TUBULAR BELLS from Mike Oldfield!

I love both kinds of Music. I got the most of New Order Vinyls ..also a lot of M.O. Long Player! THANX for sharing this excellent Track.

    LIVE LONG AND PROSPER \\//

  • Does this song remind anyone else of Genesis? Reminds me a bit of something off the 'A Trick of the Tail' album.

  • PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.....i like a lot !

  • this song is amazing i have nothing els to say about it jest that its wonderful.

  • (pulgar hacia arriba) "m.o.r.e" me trajo aqui...

  • (pulgar hacia arriba) "more" me trajo aqui...

  • Ponies brought me here O.O

  • The fact that they edited the original epic 17 minutes down to less than 5 minutes is a sin.

  • Van deze song krijg ik het warm en koud tegelijkertijd. Eén van de NO songs die het meeste emoties bij me opwekt, en dit al méér dan 25 jaar.....

  • Sorry,a "I Like" is not enough for describe my feelings when I listen this song.

  • Thumbs up if you're still listening to this song 20+ years later

  • Somehow, this song became my Halloween anthem. I only listen to it between sept24 and oct 31

  • May I recommend the book 'A Concise Guide To Eighties Music' by Karl Vorderman. The author is a big fan of this fine instrumental.

  • One of my favourite tracks by my favourite ever band. Used in the film Pretty In Pink as well.

  • back in 1985, my friend and I would lay down in her living room and put the tall speakers on each side of us and listen to this song over and over...just such an awesome, chilling, haunting song...still love it to this day!

  • Graffiti Warszaw

  • THis is a song that's been used in CSI episodes a few times. It's an awesome and very chilling piece of music.

  • hooky bernard stephen and gillian say with music what they couldn't say in words Goodbye Ian

  • The Original of this was 17 mins long. Yeah, I could groove to Hooky doing this for that long. I mean, hey, I could do Hooky bass lines all day, but this one is rather heavy, one of the best pieces by them , nothing stands out as a total sample of their work better than this song. Rarely can you base the entire catalog of a band by the quality of one song. I think this one, and Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.

  • PEJA egoiści sample

  • This make me the chills,I LOVE IT !

  • had forgotten just how phenominal this was... Best band in the world of all time for me... 30 years of brilliance....

  • this whole album is phenomenal

  • Why is it that this song is like a completely separate genre and way more progressive than all their other work?

  • yes the joy of this deep unarticulated sadness is awesome (in the english sense of the word)

  • More by Mark Osborne

  • please make available on mobile

  • I love New order, but I didn't know this song. i actually found it in Pretty in Pink, playing on a dramatic moment.

  • I love New order, but I didn't know this song. i actually found it in Pretty in Pink, ah ah.

  • i want this song to be with me at the end... i love it.. i love the feeling it gives me.. it makes me feel ready to be at peace...

  • I'm so glad I found this piece. This cut has somewhat of a profound effect on me. It makes me want to sit in the dark get in touch with whatever I'm feeling in life at that moment.

  • @etam1616 where I was sitting more than 20 years ago - dont want to get stuck there

  • @FEARandLOATHINGgirl and @djscotty1111

Come on you're kidding me! That was the very first and same thing I thought too after listening to the whole song, no joke. Why is that so *creepy*?

  • Haunting Masterpiece to the memory of ....

  • It's great, but I can't listen without thinking of "More" and feeling insanely depressed...

  • Can we ever listen to New Order without bringing up fucking Joy Divison?

    Nigga please.

  • @LivinWorstNightmare it would be like watching Queen & Paul Rodgers without thinking about that moustachioed guy who used to hang around with the two of them.

  • @LivinWorstNightmare There would be no New Order without Joy Division, my nizzel...

  • MORE!!!!

  • thumbs up if more by Mark Osbourne brought u here

  • i want this song to play at my funeral

  • @FEARandLOATHINGgirl Coincidence, Interesting....to find another.

  • 1 person is just plain stupid

  • this song is heaven ... and hell... its life... beautiful....

  • Absolutely outstanding. I've been looking for this song for months!

  • this is my favorite new order song and has been since the first time i heard it.

  • Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Morris, and Hooksy. This was the birth of something else

  • who the fuck is HookSY

  • Please stop it...Ian Curtis joined a band called warsaw, which was not founded by him but by the rest. Warsaw, Joy Division, New order...that is the order

  • This is the new order record. The song order is perfect and like a film, it transports you.

  • This really contrast there more upbeat stuff like bizarre love triangle still good though

  • mmmmm stunning masterfull mmm thougt electronic were good and knew music after 33 years, this is master class

  • I wanna listeng this song, when I lost my life...

  • this song is so haunting.......it makes it difficult to listen

  • beautiful

  • This music fits so well in the animation made by Marc Osborne - "More"

  • @JimmyEatsTheWorld. You are so right, "More" is an amazing short film, and it works so well with this music. Saw it on SciFi channel many years ago.

  • I want this song played at my funeral........it won't be too long......

  • New Order tracks get old but some how you can always come back and listen to them and they don't seem to age, New Order themselves got around by word of mouth in the beginning ; without record companies pushing them to make music, Thank God they did, otherwise we would have never got a track like this ...

  • me and my X liked making llove to this....

  • Holy shit. This was released in 1985? That is absolutely extraordinary. There is nothing in this recording that would suggest such a humble year of origin. I am amazed by its foresight. This could have been composed today and have sounded very much of the era. Wow.

  • wow just heard this trak again man what an album so alive yet also emotional. with bands like this the 80s were momentus................peace

  • If I ever die again.....and I have twice for a total of 5 minutes 23 seconds.....I chose this to be played and now have a DNR, I think anyone who is an aspiring musician should write lyrics for this tune......it has so many roads a listener can take.

  • this whole album is one of my favs from New Order if you like this album check out Brotherhood as well. this album carried me through many solo nights with candles burning and siting by the widow watching the rain....there is a great documenty called (24 hour party people) it has a bit of New Orders history....peace...

  • @TheLonnie8 24 hr party people is awesome......it focuses more on Happy Mondays at times.....damn that band lol......poisoning pigeons seems cool.....I had a signed Brotherhood Album I got at WaxTrax and I sold it for a pint of vodka later.....They are just people so ink means nothing to me. Factory records put out a ton of unheard greats....and some others that were heard....remember the Buzzcocks.....and what about James....everybody now knows Laid but not Hymn from a Village.

  • Is it bad that I want to kill that one person who gave this a thumbs down?

  • @TheOriginalWASTEMAN yes it's bad. Ignore and chill : )

  • How do New Order do it? One minute storming dance tracks like Blue Monday, The Perfect Kiss, Vanishing Point, the next great rock tracks like Regret, Run, Crystal, and then simply timeless pieces like Ceremony, Lonesome Tonight, Leave Me Alone and this. Absolutely amazing.

  • It fits in "more" animation perfectly!

  • they play this in pretty in pink in the movie its about a couple and one cant be with the other cause their popularity and rich and poor sdes of the kids lifes Andy Molly Ringwald is ignored by Blain And they play this song when she decides to confront him this song makes me think how i was ignored and left for dead by my x

  • roebrt smith must've loved this song..reminds me alot of disinegration

  • Comment removed

  • @mommyimadeapoopy thats exactly what I was thinking. it does have that disintegration like feel to it

  • pretty... in...... fucking ...... pink lol

best song in the fucking movie

  • This is played throughout the Film Animation '' More ''.

  • Pretty in Pink. It was used at the most dramatic moment too. Very fitting. New Order were amazing. Love their music so much.

  • @Tigerlily21

They "were" amazing? they out of buisiness?

  • F A B U L O U S. . .

  • Por cierto esta cancion si salio en un episodio de C.S.I Las Vegas.fastpa tiene razon.

By the way, this song yes appeared in an episode of C.S.I Las Vegas. fastpa is right.

    5***** stars and to favorites

  • amazing awesome, This song always gave me the creeps. precious!!!! I am lucky to have this LP but someone broke it Grrrrrrrrr 5*****

  • This has got to be the best song they ever did by a long shot, and one of the best electronic instrumental pieces ever. Listening to it knowing what I know now, it really is not all that complicated. The lesson for electronic musicians is keep the guitar in the mix. Synths work better with guitar than just on their own.

  • 17min version is simply awesome

  • Without a doubt. This is the single greatest piece of music you'll ever hear. Fan or not!

  • well, this song it must be a dedication to Ian Curtis, the historic leader of Joy Division, the band from which New Order was born.

  • @pecosbull The whole album was meant to be a tribute to Curtis. They recorded it exactly 5 years after and 5 days before Ian's death. In just one single session, from dusk til dawn

  • absolutely the best instrumental piece in history of music!

  • This song was on an episode of C.S.I.

  • hauntingly beautiful! ♥

  • This should have been on the soundtrack for 2001 space odyssey. Fucking amazing.

  • That would have been, had this song been written 17 years earlier ;D

  • Brill :)

  • O.o

  • This really reminds me of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells for some reason. Anyone agree?

  • very strange ! i had the same thing in mind without reading your comment

  • yes TUBULAR BELLS

  • @goneshootin22 yeah i do...introducing electric guitar

  • ESTA MUSICA E DE MUITO BOM GOSTO

  • Beautiful and sad song for a lost one a loved one who left u

  • Beautiful song.

  • Yeah. Totally suits the film. I love it :s

  • Hi there! Bob

  • Does anyone know what this song is actually about?

I also first heard this song on the short MORE =)

  • I don't know it doesn't have any words

  • sad and nice

  • This song is DRAMA! Like someone anxious as hell worrying about someone else.

  • I think this is one of the most poignant pieces of music ever written. It makes me chill, regroup and consider who and where I am before finally thrusting me back out into that crazy world of ours.

    Forever grateful to New Order.

  • Couldnt have said that better myself :)

    Mad!

  • One of my favorite songs, from my favorite band.. thanks for putting this up!

  • No hay nada que hacer que esta cancion es un homenaje a Mike Oldfield y su excelente obra Tubular Bells, buen homenaje!

  • I highly recommend you the short movie "More", by Mark Osborne, a masterpiece (maybe the best short ever) which includes this superb song.

  • That's where I heard this song from. More was a certainly good film. It has charm to it, and provoked my teacher to give a sort of lesson to us about its story, in relation to society today.

  • i think im gonna watch pretty in pink now.

  • I like this music.
