LOL... Yes it is my backyard..... I am really outside.... Bur that would have been awesome if it was all fake. But it is really noisey and outside and that mic is really that good.
the focus area is the "polar pattern", this video doesnt really do a comparison for this great microphone as just having a camera mic closer to the subject would be better than the crud position it is in now.
It was about three or four feet away on a boom pole. Pointed down towards my chest. Apparently this mic is used in lots of film productions because it can go from extreme cold, humidity and heat with no problems. Not great for indoor use, because it is a shotgun. but for outside location shooting. It is amazing.
If you are looking for a great mic for on camera use. This is not the mic. It is long as heck. For on camera maybe a Sanken CS-1 or CS-3 they have low handeling noise and a long reach. Plus you can boom them or use them for other things as well. Maybe a Rode videomic if money is an issue. They have one built for on camera use.

Have you experienced bad noise when using a t-power mic with phantom power adapter on a recorder, mixer, etc.?

@syberfilm Thanks for your response, the quality is impressive, I'm wondering how well it will perform if mounted on the camera

I know. That is one good mic. They pop up on Ebay from time to time. If you can land one for under $400 you got a steal of a deal.
