I am pretty confident that 90% of America has never heard any true audiophile headphones. Go to headfi.org for information about the elite headphones. A fantastic entry level audiophile headphone is the Audio-Technica AD700. They are around $90 new, and they sound better than any Skullcandy, Bose, or Beats by Dre headphone. All of those brands are made of marketing schemes.

Jimmy Iovine doesn't make any sence. He is saying that they are trying to make a headphone that gives a sound of a real nightclub. First off all, unless you want to go death , why would you want to have a headphone with that much voltage. Nobody needs that type of sound. Only recording studios and live performance artists need tha type of loud voltage and clarity because they are performers and their music needs to be hear. MP3 and regular headphones are fine....they are trying to capitalize!

I still likely beats studio, but to be honest I think they are just a little bit better than my 24 dollar Sony in ears headphones. Maybe it cost 300 because of the gold plated plugs, and if you have them and see the amp plug it is so heavy cause it's 24k gold! Yeah that's what I think.

The "STUDIO" sampler at local Best Buy store is permanently attached to a module that plays specific cuts, yes its sounded very nice, was it really in mp3 or a real studio recordings made to sound above the ordinary mp3, can't try how its noise canceling, is it anywhere near or as good as the Bose QC 15's or Sony NC500D's. there's no way to really test it.

Do not buy this junk! People are buying them by the dozens because of the Dr. Dre name. These are not good headphones at all and are very cheaply built. I had the Skullcandy Snoop Dogg edition [bk] over ear and compared it to the Beats by Dre over ears at Best Buy, and my Skullcandies has noticeably ear-shaking bass because it has built-in subwoofers. If you like heavy bass with great highs and mids, get Skullcandy. I've owned a shitload of headphones and earphones, so I know what I'm talking about.
