  • I saw this show at The Gershwin Theatre, now where 'Wicked' is housed, back in December of 1989. I loved it!!!!! The other 2 people I was with hated it. Too old fasioned and corny, they said. It was visually stunning and Donna Cane, I believe was her name, was wonderful!!!!!!!

  • I miss them doing commercials only for the NY area. We just get national ones now.

  • did this show do well?

  • I think it closed fairly quickly. But though it lost the battle, I think it won the war. That is to say, by getting to bill itself as a "Broadway" show, it had a much easier time getting itself booked into regional theaters around the country.

  • It was overshadowed & ulitimartely over powered b "City of Angels", and "Grand Hotel". I got really sick of hearing the commercial!

  • never be as good as judy garland
