I killed the whole entire crew in a sub simulator. It is fun when you hear Taps when you die in a Simulator and laugh when you hear Taps playing and the the trainer saying Good job you just got the whole crew killed.

If I am outside I stand at attention when I hear it. If I am inside I sit silently and listen, and do not tolerate those who act differently in my presence. Whew, you all are very intense! I only uploaded this video to show it to my friends who were there at the time. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we were all showing utmost honor and respect to the soldiers and all those who had died.
The only reason this was funny (to ME) was because my friend was so scared by the sneeze that he almost fell over in shock, because we had been so quiet and it was loud and unexpected. If you're offended, your energy would be better spent elsewhere.

Good times there. I was the King of the Taps at several Naval training centers. I am like did I die again?
I killed the whole entire crew in a sub simulator. It is fun when you hear Taps when you die in a Simulator and laugh when you hear Taps playing and the the trainer saying Good job you just got the whole crew killed.

I would remove this video if I were you. Every night on my base I hear taps played, it is a song of the most solemn respect and history to honor my brothers. If I am outside I stand at attention when I hear it. If I am inside I sit silently and listen, and do not tolerate those who act differently in my presence. Your friends sneeze might have been funny to you at the time, but it is not funny to anyone else after the fact. I promise.

Whew, you all are very intense! I only uploaded this video to show it to my friends who were there at the time. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we were all showing utmost honor and respect to the soldiers and all those who had died.
The only reason this was funny (to ME) was because my friend was so scared by the sneeze that he almost fell over in shock, because we had been so quiet and it was loud and unexpected. If you're offended, your energy would be better spent elsewhere.

Last time I was at the Tomb I was in full dress uniform. Stood there for 1 hour with the guard, my own way of paying respect. Then went to my friends grave.

there is nothing humorous about taps during a funeral.
many veterans just get a recording played and the 75 year old guy running a cd player picks the wrong song.
i have started playing taps at funerals "25 years after highschool" just so the family can hear taps live.
it is the respect any veteran deserves,
i will play taps when i am asked.
it is the least i can do to respect those who have given more than i possibly can.

I agree, if you think about what taps is really about I can't imagine the word "funny" and "taps" ever existing together.
If you don't "get" that, then you do not understand.
The VFW also goes to every local graveyard on memorial day and places American flags at the grave of all known veterans.

One old soldier found himself surrounded by little Brownies (junior Girl Scouts) who were fascinated by his chest full of medals. It made the old man's day explaining how he got them.
