It´s always good to see when people care about instruments, music and art in general, especially in times like ours when money and economy seem to rule the whole planet. Good work!
Thanks for this wonderful video, and the excellent music on the organ. I saw the whole project from beginning to end, and was privileged to make the re-constructed keyboards for the organ. We are very proud of it, and it is thrilling to see such a tribute to this wonderful part of history.
Great video. We saw and heard this organ earlier this month. I believe the first Wednesday of each month there is a recital at noon. Its free and well worth the time to hear and see such a great instrument in Winston-Salem NC.
Thank you. It's my own music, a little trio on Christ the Life of All the Living. If you want to buy it, visit my website, michaelsmusicservice dot com. Thanks again for the compliments! Cheers! Michael
This is quite astonishing! Did the pipes melt from the attic heat, or where they deliberately smashed? In any case, this is the finest example of preservation/restoration I have yet seen.
Unfortunately, it was deliberate. It was a group (I was always told it was Boy Scouts.) who did not know what they were doing. I'm sure they thought that old pipes in the church attic weren't worth anything and expended some energy and aggression. Of course, they might have asked first. :(
Your trio on "Christ The Light" is truly wonderful. I hope it gets published.
