@0318kent Yes, i know. If there were to be sequel, that's is (probably) going to be the story. But, that's it. Let me put it this way - Matt is looking for the crystal's existence > Matt have found it > and that's it. Think about it - that isn't much of a sequel, or even a story. If the directors decided to put the military to also got these powers, they've ruined the movie's point. That's the worrisome about Hollywood these days.

I'd rather let the film as a stand-alone legend.

I was thinking the same thing; could be one of two possible reasons: 1) They could have to ability to block anticipated force with a telekinetic barrier of some sort or 2) Andrew was displaying his ability to change the shape of the fork while simultaneously pretending to stab the dude's hand to display the efficiency of his own powers.

BUT, Andrew told Matt to imagine a barrier between his hand and the fork. Maybe they either forgot to imagine barriers later, or the creators forgot they could make barriers. Then again, with all the injuries Andrew acquires later, he should have been dead. Maybe if the injury is bad enough, it will appear, but he doesn't feel pain?

@acacm12 They were only invulnerable when they were actively trying to be. They describe it in the fork scene as visualizing a shield around or some such thing. If they were unaware, unguarded, unprepared, etc., then they wouldn't be invulnerable.

That said, their powers also have their limits. There's only so much they can take/do before they start to give out. You see this most often in the beginning of the movie when they get nosebleeds from using their powers.

He dies.

@SuperCyberTv It's like this big, white-blue, rock thing. It has a few holes in it and has crystals jutting out from its sides. The camera freaks out when it gets near it. Steve touches one of the crystals and you can see little things crawling inside of it. It turns red and they start bleeding from their noses. The camera then freaks out and breaks. You never learn what it was or how they got out of the hole, but afterwards they develop powers. The movie is fantastic. I recommend you go see it.
