  • thank you so much for sharing this video... :) this is of great help to newbies like me... :)

  • thanks for the video

  • you should use initial shortcuts, YOU DONT NEED TO TYPE LINE, OR CIRCLE, TYPE "L" OR "C", EVERYTHING HAS SHORTCUT KEYS, TO MIRROR ITS "MI" TO MOVE ITS "M" TO ROTATE ITS "RO" TO COPY ITS "CO" autocad is the most user friendly drawing program available but people are so afraid to experiment with the software some architects/draftsmen cost themselves weeks of their life, weeks which could be spent on holiday

  • i wish there were a proper AutoCAD replacement for GNU/Linux...

  • @197022007 Me too...

  • great i learn more.

  • The extreme basics.

  • I miss this interface a lot. The newer versions of Autocad interface now sucks! Autodesk should have stick to this traditional interface. Versions of 2009 and 2010 much look like latest MS Excel and it slows me down to familiarize the location of menus.

  • you answered all my questions... GREAT JOB

  • You dont have to always click command and then type in your desired task ie. line. You can just type "line" and it is already in the commad line.

  • Nice and easy to follow Jim! I can hardly wait for those too lazy to type in a full command to learn about the acad.pgp file! :)

  • cadeeze.. how do u make the roof?? i mean its my kryptonite.. lol.. and can i just make a floor plan and make it a 3D model?? i havent tried this yet.. but i wanna learn it.. tnx..

  • what's up?

it's pretty complicated to go by words, but to make the roof ::

    1. just draw a 2d roof.

    2. use the Pedit command to make the roof into 1 entity.

    3. use the Extrude command to make the 2d roof into 3d.

  • yes, you can make a floorplan and make it a 3d model ::

    1. draw the floorplan without thickness/offsets.

    2. use the Polysolid command

    a. set the height and width

    b. Justify option

    c. choose the Object option under the Polysolid command and pick the outline of the floorplan.

this turns your lines into the height/width you've set in step a.

  • another way is to ::

    1. Polysolid command

    a. set height, width, and justify.

    2. simply draw the floorplan in 3d. be sure to change your view to an isometric view or using a 3d template like acad3d.dwt.

there are many different methods to draw a same object.

    i hope i helped, good luck !!

  • thank u that helped me so much

  • Does anyone know a vid that helps you make basic isometric drawings???
