damn dickhead ortiz almost plunked me in the head with a foul ball.. forgot to bring a glove so i caught it with my bare hand. broke it, needed surgery and about 2 months of rehab. go mets
so what do you in baseball? seems like so many people are involved "in the game of baseball" come on to youtube an spout off about how much they know. dont you have work "in baseball" to do. like maybe pick up your kids from their baseball game. or buy them new cleats, teach them how to throw a curve, bunt. i mean you are "in baseball"
Teams like that build their farm system's and lock players like the Rays did with Evan Longoria and others up for a long time. You need to learn what you are talking about before you approach me with your bullshit. I don't need a stupid fucking Red Sox fan telling me about the game of baseball, a game I've been involved in my entire life. You need to take a sip of stfu and sit the fuck down.
LMFAO Evan Longoria is in his second year. What are the chances that when his contract expires and he is eligable for free agency, that TB can afford to sign him? What happens when an organization like Oakland, Tampa Bay, and Minnesota develope talent, they have a small 2 or 3 year window to compete before free agency destroys the team they built. You can't grasp economics dipshit! LMAO
By the way, you are a CHILD. I've forgotton more about baseball than you've ever known!
By the way-it was priceless watching your bullpen COLLAPSE in the house that STEROIDS built!
On the bright side, you lost to a legit pitcher, even though he had an ERA of more than 9 going into the game. On the not so bright side, your bullpen looked like it was throwing batting practice. I think Marte was trying to catch Wang in the ERA departments, and nearly succeeded! LMAO
Two relief pitcher's don't equal our entire bullpen. Omg so he has an era of 9 over 2 starts and he's all of a sudden a bad pitcher, he won the Cy Young award last year. I think you should worry about your own team.
Where did I say he was a bad pitcher Booster? LMAo Let me copy and paste my exact words.."On the bright side, you lost to a legit pitcher"
I think that explains fairly well that I respect Cliff Lee, even though he had an ERA of over 4.00 every season with at least 10 games pitched in the majors, until last year. Do you know what an anomoly is? He's had 2 good years in his entire career! He went 14-8 when he had a 5.43 ERA! That's AWFUL!
Hahaha! Look at you NOW! Did you happen to catch Marte striking out Utley in the WORLD SERIES? YANKEES WIN! THAAAAAA YANKEES WIN! #27!
Go back to FEMGAY PARK! Or what its now known as, the house that HYPOCRISY built. The ONLY you could win your first World Series in almost a CENTURY was with roids. Congrats. Rem-fag's OWN SON was dealing steroids outta the blosox club house! How did Senator Mitchel miss that, I wonder?
Are you really trying to bring steroids into the discussion? ROTFLMAO
A-Roid was caught the last year you won! The year before that championship, you had a team where all 4 world series winning pitchers were on steroids and in the mitchel report! According to the NY post, Big Papi was taling Nandroline, which was LEGAL in 2003 when he tested positive. (google it yourself) Is Manny a cheater? Sure! No defense there, but it pails in comparison to 12 Yankees in 2000, and at least 6 last year!
What a shock! Another Yankee fan who doesn't realize that the Yankees have only drafted 3 Hall of Famers in their entire storied history, and just bought every other one! LMFAO
What steroid monkey are you guys gonna buy this offseason?
HA! Was that supposed to hurt? Take THAT, Yankees. Yeah you showed us! blosux fans are such losers they have to reach for nonsense like THAT to talk about. I guess when u suck as bad as u do & get owned by NY, thats happens. 27 RINGS! HA! Enjoy your 7, loser. As far as acquiring more players on roids, we should get ortiz and manny! Or maybe bring Mo Vaughn back. Or how bout we get Rodney "Human Growth" Harrison to play baseball? Or Ted "Steroid related heart problems" Brusci?
So, I guess all blosux fans are dumbass hypocrites. Another dumbass who doesn't know that Trot Nixon was the ONLY blosox player on the 2004 WS team who came up with boston and stayed there. YOU HAD TO BUY EVERYONE ELSE ON THAT TEAM! Congrats, not only are you a 40 year old retard who talks shit, you're also a dumbass hypocrite with his foot in his mouth who doesn't know anything about his own team. Although you jumped on the bandwagon after they finally won their 1st ring in almost a CENTURY!
OMG YOU'RE A COP! AND YOU"RE ON YOUTUBE TALKING NONSENSE AND BEING A RETARDED DUMBASS!
WHY OH WHY ARE PEOPLE FROM BOSTON SUCH DUMBASS LOSERS! Is it that dirty water?(that song sucks btw)
Take a good look at what a retarded LOSER HYPOCRITE this Lame-dick Schmuck is.
THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY. Enjoy being 20 rings away from NY FOREVER. Be sure to think about that on your deathbed when some other 40yo boston LOSER who takes his loser team too seriously shoots you
When was the last time the Yankees won any world series without their star players being on either steroids or amphetamines? Oh wait...they've never won one without PED's. Whether it's A- Roid shooting up, or Clemens and Stanton using Winstrol, Petite and his HGH, or it's Mickey Mantle and his amphetimines....the Spanks are all cheats. The Pride of the Yankees? LMFAO More like the Shame of the Spankees! By the way...How did the Jets do against Indy?
And then you can say the same thing about boston. Haha, no wonder there are so many blosux tools on youtube. Its easier to type with your foot in your mouth then it is to talk. I loved the AFC championship. No matter who won, the city of boston lost! Manning will top tom terrific like we all know he inevitably will.
@mst3k54 The city of Boston lost? ROTFLMAO I wasn't aware that they were playing! How many division titles does Tom have? How many superbowl rings? As many as Favre, Eli, and Peyton Manning COMBINED. The end! LMAO
btw bosoxnation, what did I tell you about calling me pet names? My birth certificate doesn't say Booster on it. Why don't you just run along and worry about your own team instead of trying to make yourself look like you know anything about the Yankees when you don't know shit about the Yankees. Btw the Yankees did something the Red Sox couldn't do last week and that was take 2 of 3 from the Rays IN ST. PETE. You couldn't even take 2 of 3 from them in that shithole Fengay Park.
Who did you guys face in the series? Oh yeah...their 3,4,and 5 starters. Who did Boston face? Their top 3 starters Booster! Huge difference!
Tampa may have the best 1,2,3 starters in the league right now with Shields, Kazmir, and Garza. Their problem is their lack of depth at the BOTTOM of their rotation, and are the only places (4th and 5th starters) that both Boston and NY have an advantage over them-at least until Price is recalled.
Dude, Sonnenstine should have been an auto win for you guys, but you struggled against him. You lost to Kazmir, and you never faced their ace Shields. You beat Garza, which is a quality win, and the only quality starter the Yankees have beaten this year. Boston hasn't been great, but they beat Shields and Joe Saunders, 2 of the best AL pitchers last year.
Than what do you have to say for your team? Sonnanstine against Boston last year: 2 starts, no record, 13 innings, 7 hits, 2 runs, not earned, 2 walks, 12 strikeouts, 0.00 era; 0.69 whip; .152 baa and your going to tell me that he should have been an auto win? Especially when he shut Boston down last year? Against the Yankees he was 1-0 in 2 starts; 9.1 innings pitched, 15 hits, 11 runs all earned, 4 home runs given up, 1 walk, 6 strikeouts, 10.61 era; 1.71 whip; .349 baa. Please shut up.
What are you talking about? He gave up 4 runs, 2 earned against Boston in the ALCS. He got the win because Tampa scored like 13 runs that game.
You are making my point for me dipshit! You OWNED Sonnanstine last year, which is exactly why I said it should have been a cake walk for you! Do you not understand?
I'm not talking about the ALCS. Since when does the ALCS count in the regular season stats? I didn't make any point for you. Oh yeah so just because we owned Sonnanstine means we're going to do it every game. You are the one that doesn't understand.
Who said anything about regular season stats? Here's your direct quote "Sonnanstine against Boston last year: 2 starts, no record, 13 innings" No mention of REGULAR SEASON record, just how he did last year...and guess what? The playoffs fall into that category, shitbrick!
Now ofcourse that doesn't mean you'll own him every game, but it's an indicator of how you expect to do! Why do you think they show how a pitcher has performed in the past against a certain team? Because IT'S AN INDICATOR!
Yes the Kevin Brown trade was a good one. I don't even know why I'm discussing Yankees baseball with a Red Sox fan. The Red Sox are perfect, they never make any mistakes ever, they have the most perfect fans in sports, they win more than 2 titles in 90 years, dude shut the fuck up. You are the most annoying piece of shit on here. I think it's hillarious how you keep bringing up one game. Like CC the other day he's a bust because he struggled, he signed a 7 year contract not a 1 game contract.
As I already explained, CC is not a bust because of one bad start. He will be a complete bust because NY signed a guy that Boston has OWNED in the postseason, and everyone else has as well!
I shit on Teixera's performace in game 1, which I was just busting balls. The Teixera signing was a good move by NY. I just think your team overpaid. Boston has Youk and you pay Tex 2 and a half times as much! Is he 2 and a half times as good? NO! LMAO
Not signings but drafts I meant. He drafted quarterback Drew Henson! Selected Bronson Sardinha in MLB draft over David Wright! Selected John-Ford Griffin in MLB draft over Noah Lowry. Drafted Jonathan Poterson ahead of Huston Street in 2004!(bonehead) He also drafted Mark Prior, but DIDN'T sign him! Talk about STUPID!
The first time that Kevin Youkilis goes 0 for 4 and the first time that Josh Beckett gets torched I'm coming in here to tell you what kind of stupid investment Theo made in the two. That shows about how stupid you are blowsuxnation1972fag. You know nothing about baseball or sports to come in here and determine after one game how a player is going to play over the course of a 162 game schedule. Fuck you.
He traded Mike Lowell for 3 schlubs that never made it! He traded Javier Vazquez, Brad Halsey, Dioner Navarro and MONEY for an old broken down Randy Johnson! Traded Damaso Marte for Enrique Wilson! Traded Jeff Weaver for Randy Brown! Traded Ramon Ramirez and Eduardo Sierra for Shawn Chacon! Traded ANYTHING for Denny Neagle!(I forget who they gave up) Traded Nick Johnson, Juan Rivera and Randy Choate for Javier Vasquez!
Those are just a few of his bad trades-lets look at his bust signings now!
Big fucking deal, we had Scott Brosius at 3rd base, Lowell wasn't going to get playing time. Randy Johnson won 34 games in 2 seasons here, Who cares about some of these trades? Who is Randy Brown idiot? It's Kevin Brown and that was a good trade, the Chacon trade was good, they didn't give anything up for Neagle he was a FA, I don't think any of the signings he has made have been busts. You just don't know too much about the Yankees it shows.
Did you say the Kevin Brown trade was a good one? LMFAO He turned 39 years old before the season started that year you jackass!
He went 14-13 with an ERA over 5 for NY! How exactly is that a good trade?
It was a great trade for the RED SOX! LMAO
Remember Game 7 of the 2004 American League Championship Series? He lasted less than two innings while giving up five earned runs, including a two-run homer toBig Papi!
Yeah that move worked out fantastic....for us! LOL
Scott Brosius? LMAO You're joking, right? Scott was a CAREER .257 hitter! Lowell bats 22 points higher, hits for more power, & is a GOLD GLOVE 3rd baseman! Brosius couldn't carry Lowell's jock strap! LMFAO
And Randy got Shelled in the postseason, giving up 5 earned runs to Anaheim in only 3 innings!
His second year there, his ERA was 5.00! Don't give me the "he won 17 games both years" bullshit. When your ERA is 5.00, you aren't pitching well, jackass!
No I'm not joking. Scott Brosius was a damn good 3rd baseman for the Yankees, he drove in 98 runs on the 1998 team hitting 9th, he also had a .371 OBP that year. You don't need a lineup full of power hitters btw and Brosius was a decent power hitter. And like Brosius wasn't a GG 3rd baseman? Dude why don't you sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up you are the most annoying person ever and you don't know shit. He gave up 5 earned runs in 7.1 innings. What was Beckett's ERA in 06 again?
Johnson got shelled in his start! Pitched well in relief of Mussina.
Brosius was a decent fielder, which is the only reason he stayed in the majors, but he isnt even close to Mike Lowell. Not only did Lowell win a Gold Glove in the NL, but in 2007, he batted .324 with 21 HR's and 120 RBI AND was tied for best fielding percentage at 3rd with Eric Chavez of Oakland! He won the WS MVP by hitting .400 with 4RBI,scored 6 runs with a steal in the WS
I'm not basing the signing of Sabathia on one game! I'm judging how Sabathia has piched in the AMERICAN LEAGUE since the 2007 postseason! He got ROCKED by the Red Sox and had a 10.62 ERA in the series. In 2008, he was getting HAMMERED in the AL, and started off 1-5 before ending up 6-8 with a 3.83 ERA! Then he goes to the National League, where no one has seen his stuff, and where he gets to pitch to a pitcher as opposed to a DH every 9 at bats! The Yanks paid him based on his NL performance!
Good god you are a fucking idiot. If we're going to talk about the past than I guess I'll just sit here and talk about the Yankees 26 world championships because this is how stupid you are. The Yankees did not pay him based on his NL performance. He has a 3.66 era in his career which is pretty impressive. Learn baseball before you attempt to talk shit.
LMAO His career ERA in the AL is 3.83 How impressive is a 3.83 ERA? Let's see some pitchers that have better stats and make far less money! Roy Halladay 3.52 ERA in 11 seasons(all in the AL EAST) Derek Lowe 3.72 ERA in 8 seasons in Boston! Felix Hernandez 3.80 ERA in Seattle! Ben Sheets 3.72 ERA Dan Haren 3.72 ERA Scott Kazmir 3.61 ERA in the AL EAST Mark Buehrle 3.80 ERA John Lackey 3.81 ERA Jared Weaver 3.71 ERA Shall I go on? How impressive is Sabathia's AL ERA now?
Lowe didn't become a starter until 2002 and posted a 2.58, 4.47 and 5.42 era in the three seasons he was a starter in Boston. Ben Sheets is in the NL, Haren pitched three seasons in the AL.. Sabathia's AL ERA is pretty impressive, a 3.83 ERA is a good ERA idiot. He's 106-71; 1.27 WHIP; 7.4 strikeouts per 9 innings, 2.9 walks per 9 innings, he's going to give you 200+ innings every year. Sabathia is a good pitcher and your making him out to be an average pitcher. STFU.
Sabathia with go 200 plus innings every year? He's only done it 3 times his entire career you assclown! Dan Haren only pitched 3 years in the AL, and did it all 3 years! Haren has more 200 inning seasons than Sabathia! LOL Danny Haren is also 2-0 with a 3.26 ERA in the postseason Booster!
Haren's WHIP is 1.21 in the AL AND overall (better than CC) and he's piched for a LOSING TEAM without the run support CC has had!
What's funny is you thinking that you are embarrassing myself when I haven't done anything to embarrass myself. You are the only one that thinks I've embarrassed myself. You are the only one that cares about a players salary. It's pretty sad that you think you've embarrassed myself and don't call me by your pet names for your bitch wife, you = fail, you don't get it and never will. Btw Brosius batted .471 with 2 homers and 6 rbis in the WS that he won the MVP.
I don't think you said "myself" enough in that post! LMFAO
You only said it 4 times!
Look, Booster....you were "impressed" by a guy that has a 3.83 ERA who chokes in big situations! You idiots should have learned with Gay-Rod! He can put up the best regular season stats in the league, but if you dont perform in October, then you aren't worth shit!
CC is another A-Rod in the postseason...but far worse during the regular season!
You are 0-2 now bitch! To the WORST team in the division!
Who's Booster? And yes I am impressed by a guy that has a 3.83 era. look at his other stats, he isn't going to continue to pitch like he did on Monday that's for sure. Only an idiot would say that you aren't worth shit unless you can perform in October. Those are stats that are complied over 10-20 games. You simply don't understand shit. Oh yeah because divsions are won in April now right? 2 games into the season and your going to talk shit. Come talk to me in October.
You are a stupid fuck. What happens in the playoffs happens during the season too asshole. Players get hot and they get cold. Just because CC and A-Rod have struggled in October doesn't mean that they are going to continue to struggle in October.
Listen, you penis licking assclown! There are players who perform well under pressure, and there are players who choke on a deep fried bag of dicks! Gay-Rod and Sabathia are Chokers!
If you think it doesnt matter whether or not a player performs well in the postseason, then ask yourself why Reggie Jackson EARNED the name Mr. October? Because he was a clutch performer, unlike A-Roid and CC!
What is your point Fenway faggot? I don't care about your opinion and I know I didn't ask for your opinion. If I wanted an opinion from an asshole I'd fart. Fuck off Fenway faggot sit down and take a sip of shut the fuck up bitch.
That's the only way you could donate sperm...by farting! LMAO
Of course, DNA testing would reflect that the sperm belonged to the entire Boston Red Sox organization and fan base, because they've been fucking a punk like you in the ass for years now!
wow! You lost a series to the worst team in our division! Congratulations! Good thing the Royals are the worst team in the AL! At least you'll be able to sweep them and THINK you're good. When do the Yankees stop playing minor league teams? Did they schedule weak teams on purpose so that they didnt look bad early? lol If they did, they FAILED. lmao
Oh and the Red Sox have never lost a series to the Orioles right? BTW if you want to talk about the first five games of the season the Red Sox are tied for last place with the Rays. If I was you I would worry about the Red Sox and who they are playing instead of the Yankees and who they are playing. The Orioles have also beat the Rays 2 games this season. Also the Orioles have a lineup that can hit so calling them the worst team in the division is rather stupid.
LMAO NY and Boston are playing like shit early, but Boston played far tougher competition. Look what happened when you guys played the Rays today! You had to bring in NICK SWISHER to pitch because your starter and bull pen gave up 15 runs! It was fucking HYSTERICAL!
Oh, and if Baltimore isn't the worst team in the AL East this year, who do you predict will come in last? I'd like to wager on it with you!
You know something asshole. I watch every Yankees game so I don't need you to fill me in on what happened during a Yankees game. I know Nick Swisher pitched last night, I know Wang didn't pitch good, wtf do you want me to do about it? And as far as Boston playing tougher competition I don't know how you could possibly say that they have. Baltimore is an improved team in a tough division so they probably will finish in last place. But you sit here and act like the Red Sox never lose to Baltimore.
No...Boston loses to Baltimore too...just havent lost a SERIES to them opening a season in over 2 decades!
Both teams are playing badly early, and Tampa is still gonna make the playoffs, so either Boston or NY is OUT! My money is on NY failing because Jaba is a joke, and CC is too. AJ and Tex were good pick ups, but that will still only get you 92 wins in our division!
I dont need to worry. Boston played the 2 best teams in the AL, and is on a west coast swing. They have the best home winning percentage in all of baseball the past 5 years, so they'll be fine at Fenway. CC, however, will be just as fat at Yankee stadium as he is on the road-one hotdog away from aheart attack!
Yes you do need to worry. I don't care who the Red Sox played nor do I care what their winning percentage is at home, teams play just as many games on the road as they do at home. Who cares how fat CC is? He's a good pitcher. How fat he is has nothing to do with how he pitches. He has a 3.03 ERA; 1.14 WHIP in 686 innings. Again worry about the Red Sox moron.
lmao Wakefield thew a no-hitter for 7 and a third, and Youkelis is batting .500 (nearly 300 points higher than Texeira! Worry about your own team booster! Nady is heading to the long term 60 day DL when they realize how bad his elbow is really fucked up!
I don't care. Your the one worrying about what my team is doing. Also I haven't said anything about your team asshole. Who cares what Youkils is batting? Its 9 games into the season and your sitting here rambling on about what guys are hitting. As far as Nady goes, the final diagnosis hasn't been released. Nick Swisher is set to replace him anyways so again worry about your own team. You are not my source of Yankees information and never will be so save yourself from embarrassment.
You can wait until Friday to hear it for yourself. Nady will be shelved for the next 2 months! Gay Rod will come back to chants of STEROIDS in every stadium he goes to, even his own! He will crumble under the pressure as he always does! You guys should find a new GM. If you gave me over 200 million dollars every year to spend on players, I could do a far better job than Brian Cashman-hell, even a 14 year old like you could!
I already know about Nady, I don't need you telling me. When are you going to realize this? You are wrong about A-Rod. We don't need a new GM. And I'm not 14.
You claim you don't need a new GM, yet Cashman has been overshadowed by a GM who spent 55% less on payroll, and a GM that spent 400% less on payroll-just in your own division! I think I could find wiser ways to spend money than paying stars over 30 years old huge money long-term deals.
Cashman hasn't been overshadowed by shit stupid. Who cares how much money a team spends? What your payroll is has nothing to do with how many games you win. The Yankees don't give a shit about money, they can afford it and they pay there players. Your not always going to win just because you pay a player so much money, what you pay a player has nothing to do with it, you still have to go out on the field and perform. I'm just wondering are you new to the game of baseball? You sound like you are.
You're saying there is NO CORRELATION between how much money a team spends and how competitive they are? Sorry to Break it to you Booster, but you're dead wrong. Teams with the highest payrolls who can buy the available free agents in their prime have an EXPONENTIALLY higher winning percentage than small market teams. You are the one who sounds new to the game. There is a salary cap in football for a reason-to level the playing field for all teams, and its made the NFL more successful than MLB.
Payroll has nothing to do with how many wins a team has. You are stupid which isn't too ironic considering that your a Red Sox fan. You don't know much about baseball or sports for that matter.
Payroll isn't the only factor you assclown, but it is major factor. If a team can buy the best free agents, and not have to cultivate them on their own through drafting, they have a disticnt advantage. I think the proof lies in the fact that teams with a 150 million dollar payroll have only missed the playoffs once in history, and it was you assclkowns from last year. If you don't see a correlation between a teams payroll and it's ability to comepete, then you're a myopic idiot.
I feel sad for you Aaron because I am starting to think you're retarded. You keep saying things like "we can afford it." Who is we? Are you delusionally thinking that you are part of the Yankee organization? LMAO
Every other sport has a salary cap because it allows smaller markets a chance to compete.
If teams like Minnesota can't afford to keep players like Johan Santana, it's harder for them to make the playoffs-and compete for a championship. Get it fuckstick? Or do you need economics 101?
Denny Naeagle was not a free agent you fucking assclown! He was acquired in the middle of the fucking season you idiot from the Cincinatti Reds for Jackson Melian, the Yankees' most prominent outfield prospect, left-handed pitcher Ed Yarnall, and top prospect Drew Henson.
I thought you said you knew everything about the Yankees? LMAO Just another example of you making a fool of yourself! LMAO
Denny Neagle was let go as a FA you stupid idiot. Why don't you get your facts straight before you type to me? I do know alot more about the Yankees than you do that much is obvious.
The Yankees TRADED Drew Henson, Jackson Melian, and Ed Yarnall for Denny. Look it up you dumb fuck!
Seriously, any retard who knows how to use a search engine can look it up! I read it in the NY Times! Shall I post the link to your homepage to embarrass you further? OK! Done! I'll post it to mine as well so you can't delete it! LMAO
Oh and just to let you know. I know plenty about the Yankees and don't need a stupid uneducated Red Sox fag to tell me about the Yankees. I know more about the Yankees than you ever thought about knowing. Fuck off Red Sox fag.
What's the matter Booster? You getting upset? LMFAO
First off, it's 1 game of 162, not 161 you assclwon! You don't even know how long a major league season is!
Secondly, George may sign the checks, but the fans pay the salaries you schmuck! That's why stadiums charge $5 for a hot dog and $8.50 for a beer. $2384 for a premium seat at the new stadium! That's one game! lol
All you've shown is your grasp of economics is even worse than your grasp of baseball! LMFAO
By the way, you still haven't addressed Pappelbon's numbers! He has NEVER given up a single run in Postseason history! 25 scoreless innings! LMFAO Using your idiotic logic comparing a closer to a starter, Pappelbon is the best ever! He's won it all without ever surrendering a run in any postseason series!
I'm not addressing shit. 25 innings doesn't even come close to 117.1 innings. I've showed this video to Red Sox fans that say you are a retarded fuck that doesn't know shit, even Red Sox fans agree that you are a clueless fuck. Do everyone a favor and don't reproduce.
Rivera has been around for 14 seasons prior to this, and Pappelbon has been around only 4, dipshit! Obviously Rivera will have more innings pitched, but it goes to bolster the argument that you can't compare a starter to a closer you asshat!
Why haven't these so called "Red Sox" fans you claim to have shown this page to, commented? Oh yeah...because you don't know any Red Sox fans!LOL
Yanks will spend the entire season looking up at Boston in the standings, bitch! You're a game back already!
Who cares? You are using a much smaller sample size to say this bullshit. Rivera is better than Papelbon and is the greatest postseason pitcher ever. Open your eyes asshole.
LMAO At any point did I say that Papelbon was the greatest postseason pitcher of all-time? No! Did I post earlier that Mariano Rivera is the greatest CLOSER of all time? Yes! My point bringing up Papelbon was to show you that you cannot compare a starter to a closer!
Are you able to follow the logic?
Again Rivera IS the best post season closer EVER! But you cannot compare a closer to a starter because they don't deal with the same fatigue factor as starters like Schilling and Beckett do!
Hmm...Beckett tosses a 2 hitter and gets the opening day win against AL Pennant winning Tampa, while Sabathia got lambasted by celler dwellers the Baltimore Orioles, the worst team in our division!
Teixera goes 0-4 his his hometown of Baltimore, while Youkelis goes 2 for 4 for Boston.
Right asshole because one game tells what kind of season teams are going to have. If you are being serious than you have to be the stupidest person alive. I don't think that Theo > Brian at all. They are both very smart GM's. But comparing stats from one game has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Oh and btw I know enough Red Sox fans you don't need to worry about who I know and who I don't know. Keep showing how uneducated you are.
I just used those signings as examples of how each spends money. Cashman took over in 1998 when the Yankees foundation was already in place! He didnt draft or sign Jeter, Williams, Posada, Wells, Tino Martinez, Alfonso Soriano, Paul O'Neil, David Cone,Andy Pettitte. Those players were handed to him!
Since the run ended, almost every big move he made is a BUST! Signing Contreras, Giambi, Pavano, Steve Karsay, Jared Wright, Farnsworth, Womack, Lofton, Rondel White, Sterling Hitchcock-all busts!
Why do you feel the need to explain the Yankees to me? I know tons more about the Yankees than you will ever know. Giambi wasn't a bust and most of the other guys you named wern't here to fill big roles. You obviously worry about the Yankees wayyyyyyyyyy too much, it's pretty sad that Red Sox fans have to hate the Yankees more than they like the Red Sox.
LMAO You can't address any points I have made Aaron, because you can't dispute any of the facts.
Fact 1-Boston outdrew NY from 89-96. The bandwagon Yankee fans didnt start showing up until after the Yankees won in 96.
Fact 2-Theo Epstein has done a far better job drafting players, and spent his free agent money more wisely.
Fact 3- Gimabi was a HUGE bust! He went from hitting .333 and .342 in Oakland his lat 2 seasons with 43 and 38 HR's respectively, to batting .260 averaging 29HR's in NY.
Who gives a shit about attendance? A Red Sox fan has zero room to talk about bandwagoners when the Red Sox have one of the most bandwagon ridden fan bases in sports. Cashman has done a good job drafting and who cares about spending free agent money more wisely? Giambi was not a huge bust not at all, he averaged 30 home runs which is good and got on base a ton which is also good. Plus he hit into the shift alot so that took away from alot of his hits.
LMAO Attendance IS what determines bandwagon fans! If fans support a losing team, they aren't bandwagoners! If they only show up when a team wins, they ARE bandwagoners! Do you even know what the term bandwagoner means? Seriously! LMAO You are embarrassing yourself!
Giambi was also a TERRIBLE fielder! Have you heard of a gold glove? Giambi won an aluminum foil glove! LMAO He never had a .600 slg% with NY! Ortiz has done it 4 out of 5 seasons in Boston-failing only last year when he was hurt!
Fact 4-Kevin Brown was another bust! He got shelled in Game 7 which, along with breaking his glove hand punching a wall, is all he will be remembered for as a Yankee!
Fact 5-CC Sabathia's American League ERA is not impressive at all! 3.83 is decent, but it's not worthy of being the highest paid pitcher in the game. Roy Halladay as I stated has far better numbers, and Haladay has to face Boston and NY every year! Usually the 2 toughest line ups in all of baseball!
And Jeff Weaver wasn't a bust? 3.83 is a damn good ERA in the AL you idiot not decent its damn good. Good for Roy Halladay when did I ever say anything about Roy Halladay not having good numbers?
You traded Weaver for a 39 year old has been that got shelled in big games. Is Weaver a Cy Young candidate? hell no! But a pitcher with an ERA under 5 (which is what he is, can win more than 17 games for NY! Randy Johnson won 17 games WITH an ERA of 5.00! My point is you trade a younger pitcher who could have filled your 5th starter role for a washed up has been that contributed nothing! Thus, it was a BAD TRADE!
You can come in here and tell me what a bad investment Theo made the first time that Josh Beckett gets torched. It will just make you look like an even BIGGER boob, because unlike Sabathia, Beckett has won a World Series with Boston already-and makes less than half of what CC does! Beckett is 7-2 with a 2.9 postseason ERA. It was below 2 before he pitched hurt last year and was hit hard. Sabathia is 2-3 with a 7.92 ERA in the postseason! Another guy that CHOKES in the clutch! LMFAO
Who fucking cares how much money these guys make? You are an idiot to base how good a player is off how much money they make. Performing in the clutch doesn't mean the playoffs you idiot. Big deal he has a 7.92 era and a 2-3 record, that doesn't mean that he's going to go out there and pitch like shit in the future. Who cares if Beckett has won a WS with the Red Sox? What does that prove? Just about nothing is what it proves idiot.
It proves it was a good move by the GM you asshat! That's the point! We are comparing decisions made by Cashman and Epstein, which anyone with half a brain could follow.
You say "who cares how much money someone makes" because you have no concept that we pay their salaries. Steinbrenner may sign the checks, but where do you think he gets his money? From the fans who pay 9 bucks for a beer and 5 bucks for a hotdog. Fans that pay $2484 for 1 premium seat ticket to a single game. Wow you're dumb!
lmao So trading for a player isnt considered spending money? hmm...so if Brian Cashman Xavier Nady and 2 pitching prospects for Manny Ramirez, and Nady makes 6 million a year and the prospects make 200,000 combined a year, you dont think that constitutes spending money when Manny makes 22.5 million? lol Your payroll is increasing, thus it is spending money! it doesn't matter if it's via free agency or trade, you assclown! LMFAO
Rivera? The guy blew 3 games against Boston in the playoffs! He blew game 7 to the diamondbacks!
Is Rivera the best postseason reliever? sure! Youre trying to compare a closer who BLEW the world series against Arizona, blew the Boston series of 04', and only comes in for 3-5 outs at the end of a game! Schilling has 11 playoff wins, & has 3 rings with 2 different teams! Keep comparing apples and oranges-yanks fans usually try! Rivera only pitched 7 innings in a series ONCE in his playoff career!
Yes Rivera. Go look up his postseason stats I don't need to sit here and explain to you how Rivera is the greatest postseason pitcher ever. Let's see Rivera is 8-1; 34 saves; 0.77 era; 0.75 whip; 7.1 k/9; 1.2 bb/9 in 117.1 innings.Schilling is 11-2; 2.23 era; 0.97 whip; 8.1 k/9; 1.7 bb/9 in 133 innings. Rivera didn't blow the 04 ALCS, Rivera has 4 rings so you really don't want to go here. So what if he only pitched 7 innings once, it was twice actually. He is the best postseason pitcher ever.
Again...do you understand what apples and oranges means? It means that you can't compare a closer to a starter. Closers usually come in with a lead and only have to get 3 or 4 outs. Starters have to pitch out of jams constantly and make sure they get their team through at least 6 innings.
Closers always have lower ERA's and WHIP because they face far fewer hitters, so there is a smaller sampling you assclown! They are also coming in FRESH as opposed to starters who pitch tired most of the time!
Yup and I also understand that Mariano Rivera has pitched in 117.1 innings and Curt Schilling has pitched in 133.1 innings in the postseason so there isn't much of a small sample size there.
Again, you miss the point. Rivera's 117 innings were pitched when he was fresh out of the bullpen! He wasnt slaving through 2 on and nobody out jams in the 3rd inning...or trying to get through the 7th in the national league so they can pinch hit for him. ! K-Rod, who set the saves record, just signed for 3 years and 37 million. 12.3 mil a year. His teams starting ace makes 23 million a year, and signed his contract a year earlier!
So comparing a closer to a teams ace is boarderline retarded.
Again, it's far easier to be handed the ball with a lead and only have to get 3 or 4 outs, never having to face the same hitters twice to allow them to make adjustments, than it is to face a guy 3 or 4 times in the same game after they've seen your stuff!
Yes, it is easier dipshit! Why do you think the top closers in the league ALWAYS have a lower ERA than the best starters? Jonathan Pappelbon has never lost a playoff game, and has an ERA of 0.0 in the postseason! In 25 innings, he's never given up a single run you dickless assclown! LOL But nobody would say Paps is a better postseason pitcher than Schilling because he is a CLOSER and comes in fresh every appearance!
Wow you are a retard. It was $423.5 million not $465 million, besides thats the Yankees problem not anyone elses. And the new Yankee Stadium was worth every penny of $1.5 billion. Not all premium tickets cost that much, Wow because one game means they suck lmfao. The Yankees are going to be fine, I'd worry about the Red Sox if I was you.
no fuckface! 423 million only covers Sebathia, Burnett and Texiera! They also signed Swisher, Petite, Damaso Marte, and several others, jackass...lol
The yanks showed how well they spent today, when Tex went 0 for 4 and CC seBATHia got shelled! Hit the showers, bitch...or take a BATH in CC's contract for the next 7 years!
That fat fuck will make nearly 2 million a win this season because you overpaid for a fat cunt! LMAO
They traded for those players you fucking idiot. They showed how well they spent today? It's one fucking game you stupid fucking idiot. One fucking game of 161, if you are going to judge a player over how they played in ONE FUCKING GAME than you have some serious mental problems and need help. You need help anyways but that's beside the point. I didn't pay anything for any of these players, my birth certificate doesn't say George Steinbrenner on it you stupid fuck.
I'm not embarrassed to talk about anything. I don't care what Schilling's winning percentage was in 8 of 10 postseason starters. Big deal? Go look at Rivera's career postseason numbers and then talk to me. Until then stfu.
I know Rivera's postseason stats, donk-but what you have failed to acknowledge is that all a closer does is come in for 3 or 4 outs, and not have to throw over 100 pitches. Rivera is the best closer in postseason history...but closers don't have to deal with the fatigue factor as often as starters. Pedro Martinez made a relief appearances for Boston in 1999 because out bull pen was depleted. Not only did he pitch 8 scoreless innings in his start, he pitched 2 perfect relief innings.
I don't care. I have already explained that Rivera has only pitched in 16 fewer innings in the postseason than Schilling. There have been plenty of times where Rivera has pitched multiple innings.
You still dont get it! LMAO The only reason Rivera is even close to Schilling in innings pitched is because relievers are available every night. Starters go every 4 games in the postseason. Again, Rivera is not pitching fatigued. If he goes 2 innings, he gets the following day off! Again, Closers do not face the same hitters multiple times in a game. Thats a HUGE difference, and if you cant comprehend that, then you know nothing about baseball.
Oh and just for reference. A-Rod is within 15 points for OBP in each of those stats with David Ortiz. David Ortiz isn't that much better at avoiding outs in clutch sitatuions compared to A-Rod.
David Ortiz is the all time leading leader in walk off hits in major league playoff history. Manny Ramirez is the all-time playoff Homerun leader. Both are exponentially better in the clutch than A-Roid. 47 RBI for Papi 17 RBI for A-Rod. Now Papi has more at bats, but Papi is averaging an RBI for every 5 at bats. A-Rod is averaging 1 RBI every 8 at bats! That's night and fucking day! You've had A-Rod for 5 years and what have the Spanks won? Nothing! Actions speak louder than words!
I have never heard him called "The Cooler" so I don't believe this one either. I posted stats that prove that A-Rod is a good hitter in the clutch. Where are your stats saying he's not a good clutch hitter? Prove me wrong. You can't.
I already proved it! His career postseason RBI total is 17! The playoffs are as clutch as it gets! Johnny Damon has more career postseason RBI than Gay Rod, and he's a fucking leadoff hitter who comes up with the bases EMPTY! He has the same amount of postseason HR's and has a batting average within 1 point! He has 11 more strike outs than Johnny Damon in fewer at bats! He's a choker, give it up you shiftless cunt! LOL
You are 100% wrong. I provided A-Rod's clutch stats for his entire career. Then you want to use the playoffs to try to win this argument. Playoffs aren't the only clutch stats and no the playoffs aren't as clutch as it gets. Oh but you said Jeter has been our leadoff hitter for years, now it's Johnny Damon, You are quite confused aren't ya? No A-Rod isn't a choker in the clutch, I've already proved you wrong and now your crying about it. Fuck off asshole.
Oh and btw Lowrie played 49 games at SS that isn't even close to half the year. I think it's hillarous how you use such a small sample size to try to win this argument and asking who on NY has career postseason stats like Crisp's stats in ONE series. Crisp's career postseason batting average is .281; A-Rod's is .279 so keep telling me how good Crisp is just because of what he did in one series you fucking ignorant coward.
Crisp is a defensive specialist, and you're proud of the fact that the highest paid player in basebal history, who hapens to be an admited cheater, has a LOWER carer postseason bating average than a guy that makes about a third of his salary? LOL
Lowrie played more than half the year with Boston, but had to play 3rd base nearly half the time when Lowell was injured. Boston started a rookie 94 games on the left side of the infield. Does that make in any les impresive? LOL
lmao @ defensive specialist the Red Sox traded for Crisp to replace Damon not be a defensive specialist. When did I say I was proud of that? No you said that Lowrie played half the year at SS not half the year with Boston, it's funny how you keep changing things as you go along. Lowrie played 386 innings at SS in 49 games that's 7.87 innings a game and 243.7 innings at 3B in 45 games that's 5.41 innings a game so he wasn't even playing full games at either position.
LMAO Um, dipshit, he often would move from third to short depending on who was pinch hitting late in the game! Sometimes he was pulled, other times, Alex Cora was, and he moved from 3rd to short. He was a rookie utility player filling in, and had an amazing series against the Angels-far better than any A-Rod has had!
Posada alternated with Robin Ventura hitting 5th or 6th. Joe T. didnt have a set line up and would move around hitters all of the time you fucking jackass.
You have got to be the most uneducated person in here. It cracks me up how you think you know so much about the Yankees when really you don't know shit about the Yankees. Keep trying to tell me that A-Rod has been our 3 hitter when Abreu has been for the last 2 seasons and before that Sheffield was. After Sheffield got hurt in 06 Giambi was our 3 hitter. You don't know shit about the Yankees. Stop talking about things that you don't know shit about.
Yo bosoxnation asshole don't be writing me messages and then blocking me from replying to them scumbag. As far as Jeter taking steroids so what if a relief pitcher that appeared in awhole 33 games in 1999 says he took them. That doesn't make it true and quite frankly Jeter's name wasn't mentioned in the bullshit Mitchell Report. I have no reason to believe anything you say or anything Dan Naulty says. Hell I don't even remember Dan Naulty.
I didn't block you! My profile is set to friend lock, and thats why you couldnt reply. I dont block people when Im having a debate, especially when I am fucking destroying them!
Dan Naulty is getting his PHD from Trinity college and devoted his life to God. You can disbelieve what I say because Im a Boston fan, and you can say that is my motive-hating the Yankees-but what is Dan Naulty's motive? He was Jeter's friend. He feels if EVERYONE comes forward who did it, baseball will be better off!
Its ok Booster! I know I crushed your hopes and dreams.....and the Yankees will crush them further when they choke again this year!
But as you know, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson admitted to using steroids last week before his premier Race to Witch Mountain, so it's only a matter of time before the Yankees sign him! LMAO
Who's Booster? I think it's funny how Boston fans all of the sudden think that their team is so unbeatable. The Yankees won 89 games last year and were torched with injuries, we lost Wang for half the year, we lost Posada and Matsui for most of the year and still won 89 games. Let's see how many wins the Red Sox have if three of their key players go down with injuries. I hope the other 103 players are named and one of them is David Ortiz, that would be awesome.
Boston had to deal with just as many injuries as NY last year! Beckett, our best pitcher, was on the DL 3 times and was hurt going into the stretch run. He was Useless after July! Manny, our best hitter, was traded! Lowell couldn't even play in the Tampa series because of a torn labrum! Papi? Missed 2+ months with a wrist injury! Lugo? Missed half the season, and a rookie played the rest of the year! JD Drew? out 53 games due to injury! With NY's 222 million payroll, your backups should step in!
The difference between Boston and NY last year was when a NY player was injured, nobody stepped up. When a Red Sock was injured, guys like Lester, Lowrie, Crisp, and Kotsay stepped up. They weren't everyday players, but they became everyday players when Boston needed them! NY's bench CHOKED!
Crisp had an OPS+ of 93; Lowrie an OPS+ of 90; Kotsay an OPS+ of 62 so that just proves how wrong you are. Yeah the Yankees were suppose to contend with Sidney Ponson and Darrell Rasner at the backend of their rotation. Learn what your talking about before talking shit. You can't back anything up.
LMAO Crisp stepped up in the playoffs, you assclown! When they needed him in the playoffs, he batted .417 with an OB% over .520, assclown! Who on NY has career postseason numbers even close to that? NOBODY! LOL
Lowrie was a rookie with NO CAREER STARTS going into the season, and ended up playing half the year at the most critical defensive position in the game! He batted .364 in the Anaheim series, with an OB% of .462! A-Rod would trade his left nut for those playoff numbers! Who's wrong? LOL
Good for him I don't care. Those aren't Crisp's career postseason numbers you idiot, who on NY has only been in one playoff series to have those numbers? I don't think A-Rod would trade anything with Lowrie. Big deal he hit .364 in 11 at bats, how did he do against the Rays? He hit .111. Your wrong. Still lmao @ you thinking that one playoff series = career postseason numbers. Fuck off you don't know shit.
You wana look at carer postseason numbers? LOL Ok.Gay-Rod is a CAREER .279 post season hiter with 7HR and 17 RBI. Pretty mediocre numbers for 30 milion a year player!
Let's compare him to Papi, Boston's number 3 hiter!
Papi bats .293 with a .401 OB% 12HR 47RBI
He also has more walk of hits than anyone in MLB playoff history-and he only makes 13 milion a year! Less than half of what Gay-Rod makes!
A-Rod chokes in the playoffs, and NY overpays players...THE END!
A-Rod has had 147 career at bats in the postseason. He is a .306 career hitter. A-Rod isn't our 3rd hitter, Teixeira is. Again those are a small sample size, Ortiz is a career .287 hitter with a .382 OBP. Keep using small sample sizes to compare players though it's quite amusing.
A Rod has been your 3 hitter for years! Tex may stay there when A-Rod is back, but when those post season numbers were put up, Crisp was a 9 hitter who had 1 game leading off, and A-Roid was a 3 hitter!
Now as far as "small sample sizes," great players are defined by what they do in clutch situations-i.e. playoffs, not in meaningless situations. A-Rod chokes in the clutch, and it's well documented!
17 RBI in 147 AB! That's awful! He loses his power as well, hitting 1 HR for every 21 ABs.
You are an idiot. A-Rod has been our 3 hitter 94 times over the last 5 seasons. He isn't our 3 hitter, he's our cleanup hitter. Abreu had been our 3 hitter for the last 2 and a half years and before that Sheffield was our 3 hitter. Shows how little you know about the Yankees.
your line up changes from game to game, dipshit. Jeter has hit leadoff or second pretty consistantly, but the rest of your line up has been a constant change because you sign players to such long term deals that they go from batting 3rd in the front end of their contract, to batting 8th at the back end! Just look at Giambi! In 2000 he was a 3 hitter. Last year he wasnt even an everyday player and he hit 7th or 8th sometimes.
In 2002 Jeter hit 1st second and 3rd. Giambi hit 3rd and 4th.
You are wrong. A-Rod has hit 3rd 94 times (72 of those were the first three months of the 2004 season). Jeter has leadoff 9 times since we signed Damon and all 9 times were in 2008. Giambi didn't play for the Yankees in 2000 and yes he was an everyday player last year he played in 145 games. Soriano was our leadoff hitter in 2002, Jeter hit leadoff 10 times in 2002, you are right on Giambi hitting 3rd or 4th in 2002 tho. Don't try explaining Yankees baseball to me.
I've forgotton more about baseball than you'll EVER know. Your line up changes all the time! The Red Sox consistantly had the same 3 and 4 hitter every game they were healthy for 5 and a half years. The Yankees did not have that type of consistancy.
Dont try to explaiun baseball to you? LMAO You have to use google to look up how many games each player played where! lol Then you act like you dont need things explained to you? Kid, when you dont have to look up players stats online, let me know!
Oh really. 2 outs, RISP he has a career .403 OBP; Late & Close he has a career .375 OBP; Tied game he has a career .397 OBP; within 1 run he has a .398 OBP; within 2 runs he has a career .389 OBP; within 3 runs he has a .391 OBP; within 4 runs he has a career .390 OBP. Care to explain how A-Rod chokes in the clutch? Btw clutch situations are not what defines a great player. You don't have a clue on what you are talking about so I would just stop arguing if I was you.
Absolutely! Do you know why A-Rod has an INFLATED OB% in close games? Because all 3 and 4 hitters do! They are intentionally walked more than anyone else. If Jeter gets on and steals second, and A-Rod is up with 2 outs, he gets walked!
yes, clutch situations ARE what defines a player! Playoff performance too! Curt Schilling only won 216 games. Not even close to 300 that it usually takes to make the Hall of Fame-but he is the greatest postseason pitcher EVER so he'll be in the hall!
The Giants and Jets might not play in the state of NY but they certainly play in the NYC metro area. Btw a new baseball stadium requires alot less room then a football stadium since most football stadium's are not in the downtown area of the city and require lots of parking. There is no room for a football stadium in NYC.
Ricky Bones, Roger Clemens, Jose Canseco, Jason Grimsley, Glenallen Hill, Darren Holmes, David Justice, Chuck Knoblauch, Daniel Naulty, Denny Neagle, Andy Pettitte, Mike Stanton
Naulty named Jeter in last years Sporting News, April edition. (2008)Google it & read the entire article yourself!
Others who used and didnt win a ring include A-Roid, Sheffield, Velarde, Villone, Rondell White,Todd Williams, Hal Morris, Manzanillo, Bobby Estalella, Giambi &Kevin Brown!
Sheffield and Brown both have a ring (1997 Marlins). I don't care about the Mitchell Report anyways because I think the Mitchell Report was a bunch of bullshit, it's pretty sad when MLB had to hire a guy with connections to a MLB team to do that report.
Oh ok...so you were saying Mitchel was on a witchunt against the Yankees because he was loosely associated with the Red Sox? He holda a consulting position as director! Hell, he was on the board of the Florida Marlins for Christ's sake-yet nobody brings that up. He was Chairman of the board of Walt Disney! Would that preclude him from investigating unsafe rides at another theme park like 6 flags? LOL
Perhaps you should study the relationship before regurgitating crap you hear on NY radio!
damn dickhead ortiz almost plunked me in the head with a foul ball.. forgot to bring a glove so i caught it with my bare hand. broke it, needed surgery and about 2 months of rehab. go mets

rushfan02721 2 years ago
Teams like that build their farm system's and lock players like the Rays did with Evan Longoria and others up for a long time. You need to learn what you are talking about before you approach me with your bullshit. I don't need a stupid fucking Red Sox fan telling me about the game of baseball, a game I've been involved in my entire life. You need to take a sip of stfu and sit the fuck down.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMFAO Evan Longoria is in his second year. What are the chances that when his contract expires and he is eligable for free agency, that TB can afford to sign him? What happens when an organization like Oakland, Tampa Bay, and Minnesota develope talent, they have a small 2 or 3 year window to compete before free agency destroys the team they built. You can't grasp economics dipshit! LMAO
By the way, you are a CHILD. I've forgotton more about baseball than you've ever known!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
By the way-it was priceless watching your bullpen COLLAPSE in the house that STEROIDS built!
On the bright side, you lost to a legit pitcher, even though he had an ERA of more than 9 going into the game. On the not so bright side, your bullpen looked like it was throwing batting practice. I think Marte was trying to catch Wang in the ERA departments, and nearly succeeded! LMAO
The Yankeees lose! Thaaaaaaaaaa Yankees lose!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Two relief pitcher's don't equal our entire bullpen. Omg so he has an era of 9 over 2 starts and he's all of a sudden a bad pitcher, he won the Cy Young award last year. I think you should worry about your own team.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Where did I say he was a bad pitcher Booster? LMAo Let me copy and paste my exact words.."On the bright side, you lost to a legit pitcher"
I think that explains fairly well that I respect Cliff Lee, even though he had an ERA of over 4.00 every season with at least 10 games pitched in the majors, until last year. Do you know what an anomoly is? He's had 2 good years in his entire career! He went 14-8 when he had a 5.43 ERA! That's AWFUL!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
How did Senator Mitchel miss that, I wonder?
mst3k54 2 years ago

BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Or Ted "Steroid related heart problems" Brusci?
mst3k54 2 years ago
So, I guess all blosux fans are dumbass hypocrites. Another dumbass who doesn't know that Trot Nixon was the ONLY blosox player on the 2004 WS team who came up with boston and stayed there. YOU HAD TO BUY EVERYONE ELSE ON THAT TEAM! Congrats, not only are you a 40 year old retard who talks shit, you're also a dumbass hypocrite with his foot in his mouth who doesn't know anything about his own team. Although you jumped on the bandwagon after they finally won their 1st ring in almost a CENTURY!

Take a good look at what a retarded LOSER HYPOCRITE this Lame-dick Schmuck is.
THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY. Enjoy being 20 rings away from NY FOREVER. Be sure to think about that on your deathbed when some other 40yo boston LOSER who takes his loser team too seriously shoots you
mst3k54 2 years ago

AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Who did you guys face in the series? Oh yeah...their 3,4,and 5 starters. Who did Boston face? Their top 3 starters Booster! Huge difference!
Tampa may have the best 1,2,3 starters in the league right now with Shields, Kazmir, and Garza. Their problem is their lack of depth at the BOTTOM of their rotation, and are the only places (4th and 5th starters) that both Boston and NY have an advantage over them-at least until Price is recalled.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who is Booster? We faced Kazmir, Garza and Sonninstine. 2 of the 3 pitchers I named faced the Red Sox last week so don't go making excuses.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Dude, Sonnenstine should have been an auto win for you guys, but you struggled against him. You lost to Kazmir, and you never faced their ace Shields. You beat Garza, which is a quality win, and the only quality starter the Yankees have beaten this year. Boston hasn't been great, but they beat Shields and Joe Saunders, 2 of the best AL pitchers last year.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
What are you talking about? He gave up 4 runs, 2 earned against Boston in the ALCS. He got the win because Tampa scored like 13 runs that game.
You are making my point for me dipshit! You OWNED Sonnanstine last year, which is exactly why I said it should have been a cake walk for you! Do you not understand?
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I'm not talking about the ALCS. Since when does the ALCS count in the regular season stats? I didn't make any point for you. Oh yeah so just because we owned Sonnanstine means we're going to do it every game. You are the one that doesn't understand.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Who said anything about regular season stats? Here's your direct quote "Sonnanstine against Boston last year: 2 starts, no record, 13 innings" No mention of REGULAR SEASON record, just how he did last year...and guess what? The playoffs fall into that category, shitbrick!
Now ofcourse that doesn't mean you'll own him every game, but it's an indicator of how you expect to do! Why do you think they show how a pitcher has performed in the past against a certain team? Because IT'S AN INDICATOR!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Yes the Kevin Brown trade was a good one. I don't even know why I'm discussing Yankees baseball with a Red Sox fan. The Red Sox are perfect, they never make any mistakes ever, they have the most perfect fans in sports, they win more than 2 titles in 90 years, dude shut the fuck up. You are the most annoying piece of shit on here. I think it's hillarious how you keep bringing up one game. Like CC the other day he's a bust because he struggled, he signed a 7 year contract not a 1 game contract.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
As I already explained, CC is not a bust because of one bad start. He will be a complete bust because NY signed a guy that Boston has OWNED in the postseason, and everyone else has as well!
I shit on Teixera's performace in game 1, which I was just busting balls. The Teixera signing was a good move by NY. I just think your team overpaid. Boston has Youk and you pay Tex 2 and a half times as much! Is he 2 and a half times as good? NO! LMAO
CC will fold in the pressure of the AL EAST!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Not signings but drafts I meant. He drafted quarterback Drew Henson! Selected Bronson Sardinha in MLB draft over David Wright! Selected John-Ford Griffin in MLB draft over Noah Lowry. Drafted Jonathan Poterson ahead of Huston Street in 2004!(bonehead) He also drafted Mark Prior, but DIDN'T sign him! Talk about STUPID!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
The first time that Kevin Youkilis goes 0 for 4 and the first time that Josh Beckett gets torched I'm coming in here to tell you what kind of stupid investment Theo made in the two. That shows about how stupid you are blowsuxnation1972fag. You know nothing about baseball or sports to come in here and determine after one game how a player is going to play over the course of a 162 game schedule. Fuck you.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Big fucking deal, we had Scott Brosius at 3rd base, Lowell wasn't going to get playing time. Randy Johnson won 34 games in 2 seasons here, Who cares about some of these trades? Who is Randy Brown idiot? It's Kevin Brown and that was a good trade, the Chacon trade was good, they didn't give anything up for Neagle he was a FA, I don't think any of the signings he has made have been busts. You just don't know too much about the Yankees it shows.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Did you say the Kevin Brown trade was a good one? LMFAO He turned 39 years old before the season started that year you jackass!
He went 14-13 with an ERA over 5 for NY! How exactly is that a good trade?
It was a great trade for the RED SOX! LMAO
Remember Game 7 of the 2004 American League Championship Series? He lasted less than two innings while giving up five earned runs, including a two-run homer toBig Papi!
Yeah that move worked out fantastic....for us! LOL
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
No I'm not joking. Scott Brosius was a damn good 3rd baseman for the Yankees, he drove in 98 runs on the 1998 team hitting 9th, he also had a .371 OBP that year. You don't need a lineup full of power hitters btw and Brosius was a decent power hitter. And like Brosius wasn't a GG 3rd baseman? Dude why don't you sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up you are the most annoying person ever and you don't know shit. He gave up 5 earned runs in 7.1 innings. What was Beckett's ERA in 06 again?
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Johnson got shelled in his start! Pitched well in relief of Mussina.
Brosius was a decent fielder, which is the only reason he stayed in the majors, but he isnt even close to Mike Lowell. Not only did Lowell win a Gold Glove in the NL, but in 2007, he batted .324 with 21 HR's and 120 RBI AND was tied for best fielding percentage at 3rd with Eric Chavez of Oakland! He won the WS MVP by hitting .400 with 4RBI,scored 6 runs with a steal in the WS
Brosius batted .308 when he won his WS MVP.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Good god you are a fucking idiot. If we're going to talk about the past than I guess I'll just sit here and talk about the Yankees 26 world championships because this is how stupid you are. The Yankees did not pay him based on his NL performance. He has a 3.66 era in his career which is pretty impressive. Learn baseball before you attempt to talk shit.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
STFU.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Sabathia with go 200 plus innings every year? He's only done it 3 times his entire career you assclown! Dan Haren only pitched 3 years in the AL, and did it all 3 years! Haren has more 200 inning seasons than Sabathia! LOL Danny Haren is also 2-0 with a 3.26 ERA in the postseason Booster!
Haren's WHIP is 1.21 in the AL AND overall (better than CC) and he's piched for a LOSING TEAM without the run support CC has had!
Give it up douche! You lose!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
What's funny is you thinking that you are embarrassing myself when I haven't done anything to embarrass myself. You are the only one that thinks I've embarrassed myself. You are the only one that cares about a players salary. It's pretty sad that you think you've embarrassed myself and don't call me by your pet names for your bitch wife, you = fail, you don't get it and never will. Btw Brosius batted .471 with 2 homers and 6 rbis in the WS that he won the MVP.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I don't think you said "myself" enough in that post! LMFAO
You only said it 4 times!
Look, Booster....you were "impressed" by a guy that has a 3.83 ERA who chokes in big situations! You idiots should have learned with Gay-Rod! He can put up the best regular season stats in the league, but if you dont perform in October, then you aren't worth shit!
CC is another A-Rod in the postseason...but far worse during the regular season!
You are 0-2 now bitch! To the WORST team in the division!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who's Booster? And yes I am impressed by a guy that has a 3.83 era. look at his other stats, he isn't going to continue to pitch like he did on Monday that's for sure. Only an idiot would say that you aren't worth shit unless you can perform in October. Those are stats that are complied over 10-20 games. You simply don't understand shit. Oh yeah because divsions are won in April now right? 2 games into the season and your going to talk shit. Come talk to me in October.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
"Only an idiot would say that you aren't worth shit unless you can perform in October."
You just called Reggie Jackson and Joe Dimmagio shit!
Both players said that regular season stats were "nice for contracts" but "a players legacy is made in October!" (the playoffs)
Thanks for proving my point, dickless!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are a stupid fuck. What happens in the playoffs happens during the season too asshole. Players get hot and they get cold. Just because CC and A-Rod have struggled in October doesn't mean that they are going to continue to struggle in October.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Listen, you penis licking assclown! There are players who perform well under pressure, and there are players who choke on a deep fried bag of dicks! Gay-Rod and Sabathia are Chokers!
If you think it doesnt matter whether or not a player performs well in the postseason, then ask yourself why Reggie Jackson EARNED the name Mr. October? Because he was a clutch performer, unlike A-Roid and CC!
Playoffs are a whole new season!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are stupid stfu Fenway faggot.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO You can tell me to shut up all you want! It doesnt change facts!
Fact, Jeter and Rivera perform well under pressure, but Gay Rod and Sabathia don't.
Fact, you don't know your ass from your elbow, because you like licking penis! LMAO
Fact, Pedroia, Papi, Youkelis, and Beckett are prime time performers! They play well under pressure!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
What is your point Fenway faggot? I don't care about your opinion and I know I didn't ask for your opinion. If I wanted an opinion from an asshole I'd fart. Fuck off Fenway faggot sit down and take a sip of shut the fuck up bitch.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
That's the only way you could donate sperm...by farting! LMAO
Of course, DNA testing would reflect that the sperm belonged to the entire Boston Red Sox organization and fan base, because they've been fucking a punk like you in the ass for years now!
Keep trying Booster!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are a moron that is all.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
wow! You lost a series to the worst team in our division! Congratulations! Good thing the Royals are the worst team in the AL! At least you'll be able to sweep them and THINK you're good. When do the Yankees stop playing minor league teams? Did they schedule weak teams on purpose so that they didnt look bad early? lol If they did, they FAILED. lmao
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Oh and the Red Sox have never lost a series to the Orioles right? BTW if you want to talk about the first five games of the season the Red Sox are tied for last place with the Rays. If I was you I would worry about the Red Sox and who they are playing instead of the Yankees and who they are playing. The Orioles have also beat the Rays 2 games this season. Also the Orioles have a lineup that can hit so calling them the worst team in the division is rather stupid.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO NY and Boston are playing like shit early, but Boston played far tougher competition. Look what happened when you guys played the Rays today! You had to bring in NICK SWISHER to pitch because your starter and bull pen gave up 15 runs! It was fucking HYSTERICAL!
Oh, and if Baltimore isn't the worst team in the AL East this year, who do you predict will come in last? I'd like to wager on it with you!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You know something asshole. I watch every Yankees game so I don't need you to fill me in on what happened during a Yankees game. I know Nick Swisher pitched last night, I know Wang didn't pitch good, wtf do you want me to do about it? And as far as Boston playing tougher competition I don't know how you could possibly say that they have. Baltimore is an improved team in a tough division so they probably will finish in last place. But you sit here and act like the Red Sox never lose to Baltimore.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
No...Boston loses to Baltimore too...just havent lost a SERIES to them opening a season in over 2 decades!
Both teams are playing badly early, and Tampa is still gonna make the playoffs, so either Boston or NY is OUT! My money is on NY failing because Jaba is a joke, and CC is too. AJ and Tex were good pick ups, but that will still only get you 92 wins in our division!
2 shy of a playoff spot!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
lmfao @ Joba and CC being a joke. Why don't you just worry about the last place Red Sox?
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I dont need to worry. Boston played the 2 best teams in the AL, and is on a west coast swing. They have the best home winning percentage in all of baseball the past 5 years, so they'll be fine at Fenway. CC, however, will be just as fat at Yankee stadium as he is on the road-one hotdog away from aheart attack!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Yes you do need to worry. I don't care who the Red Sox played nor do I care what their winning percentage is at home, teams play just as many games on the road as they do at home. Who cares how fat CC is? He's a good pitcher. How fat he is has nothing to do with how he pitches. He has a 3.03 ERA; 1.14 WHIP in 686 innings. Again worry about the Red Sox moron.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
lmao Wakefield thew a no-hitter for 7 and a third, and Youkelis is batting .500 (nearly 300 points higher than Texeira! Worry about your own team booster! Nady is heading to the long term 60 day DL when they realize how bad his elbow is really fucked up!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I don't care. Your the one worrying about what my team is doing. Also I haven't said anything about your team asshole. Who cares what Youkils is batting? Its 9 games into the season and your sitting here rambling on about what guys are hitting. As far as Nady goes, the final diagnosis hasn't been released. Nick Swisher is set to replace him anyways so again worry about your own team. You are not my source of Yankees information and never will be so save yourself from embarrassment.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
You can wait until Friday to hear it for yourself. Nady will be shelved for the next 2 months! Gay Rod will come back to chants of STEROIDS in every stadium he goes to, even his own! He will crumble under the pressure as he always does! You guys should find a new GM. If you gave me over 200 million dollars every year to spend on players, I could do a far better job than Brian Cashman-hell, even a 14 year old like you could!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I already know about Nady, I don't need you telling me. When are you going to realize this? You are wrong about A-Rod. We don't need a new GM. And I'm not 14.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
You claim you don't need a new GM, yet Cashman has been overshadowed by a GM who spent 55% less on payroll, and a GM that spent 400% less on payroll-just in your own division! I think I could find wiser ways to spend money than paying stars over 30 years old huge money long-term deals.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Cashman hasn't been overshadowed by shit stupid. Who cares how much money a team spends? What your payroll is has nothing to do with how many games you win. The Yankees don't give a shit about money, they can afford it and they pay there players. Your not always going to win just because you pay a player so much money, what you pay a player has nothing to do with it, you still have to go out on the field and perform. I'm just wondering are you new to the game of baseball? You sound like you are.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
You're saying there is NO CORRELATION between how much money a team spends and how competitive they are? Sorry to Break it to you Booster, but you're dead wrong. Teams with the highest payrolls who can buy the available free agents in their prime have an EXPONENTIALLY higher winning percentage than small market teams. You are the one who sounds new to the game. There is a salary cap in football for a reason-to level the playing field for all teams, and its made the NFL more successful than MLB.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Payroll has nothing to do with how many wins a team has. You are stupid which isn't too ironic considering that your a Red Sox fan. You don't know much about baseball or sports for that matter.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Payroll isn't the only factor you assclown, but it is major factor. If a team can buy the best free agents, and not have to cultivate them on their own through drafting, they have a disticnt advantage. I think the proof lies in the fact that teams with a 150 million dollar payroll have only missed the playoffs once in history, and it was you assclkowns from last year. If you don't see a correlation between a teams payroll and it's ability to comepete, then you're a myopic idiot.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I feel sad for you Aaron because I am starting to think you're retarded. You keep saying things like "we can afford it." Who is we? Are you delusionally thinking that you are part of the Yankee organization? LMAO
Every other sport has a salary cap because it allows smaller markets a chance to compete.
If teams like Minnesota can't afford to keep players like Johan Santana, it's harder for them to make the playoffs-and compete for a championship. Get it fuckstick? Or do you need economics 101?
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Denny Naeagle was not a free agent you fucking assclown! He was acquired in the middle of the fucking season you idiot from the Cincinatti Reds for Jackson Melian, the Yankees' most prominent outfield prospect, left-handed pitcher Ed Yarnall, and top prospect Drew Henson.
I thought you said you knew everything about the Yankees? LMAO Just another example of you making a fool of yourself! LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Denny Neagle was let go as a FA you stupid idiot. Why don't you get your facts straight before you type to me? I do know alot more about the Yankees than you do that much is obvious.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
The Yankees TRADED Drew Henson, Jackson Melian, and Ed Yarnall for Denny. Look it up you dumb fuck!
Seriously, any retard who knows how to use a search engine can look it up! I read it in the NY Times! Shall I post the link to your homepage to embarrass you further? OK! Done! I'll post it to mine as well so you can't delete it! LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Oh and just to let you know. I know plenty about the Yankees and don't need a stupid uneducated Red Sox fag to tell me about the Yankees. I know more about the Yankees than you ever thought about knowing. Fuck off Red Sox fag.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
What's the matter Booster? You getting upset? LMFAO
First off, it's 1 game of 162, not 161 you assclwon! You don't even know how long a major league season is!
Secondly, George may sign the checks, but the fans pay the salaries you schmuck! That's why stadiums charge $5 for a hot dog and $8.50 for a beer. $2384 for a premium seat at the new stadium! That's one game! lol
All you've shown is your grasp of economics is even worse than your grasp of baseball! LMFAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
By the way, you still haven't addressed Pappelbon's numbers! He has NEVER given up a single run in Postseason history! 25 scoreless innings! LMFAO Using your idiotic logic comparing a closer to a starter, Pappelbon is the best ever! He's won it all without ever surrendering a run in any postseason series!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I'm not addressing shit. 25 innings doesn't even come close to 117.1 innings. I've showed this video to Red Sox fans that say you are a retarded fuck that doesn't know shit, even Red Sox fans agree that you are a clueless fuck. Do everyone a favor and don't reproduce.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Rivera has been around for 14 seasons prior to this, and Pappelbon has been around only 4, dipshit! Obviously Rivera will have more innings pitched, but it goes to bolster the argument that you can't compare a starter to a closer you asshat!
Why haven't these so called "Red Sox" fans you claim to have shown this page to, commented? Oh yeah...because you don't know any Red Sox fans!LOL
Yanks will spend the entire season looking up at Boston in the standings, bitch! You're a game back already!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who cares? You are using a much smaller sample size to say this bullshit. Rivera is better than Papelbon and is the greatest postseason pitcher ever. Open your eyes asshole.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO At any point did I say that Papelbon was the greatest postseason pitcher of all-time? No! Did I post earlier that Mariano Rivera is the greatest CLOSER of all time? Yes! My point bringing up Papelbon was to show you that you cannot compare a starter to a closer!
Are you able to follow the logic?
Again Rivera IS the best post season closer EVER! But you cannot compare a closer to a starter because they don't deal with the same fatigue factor as starters like Schilling and Beckett do!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Josh Beckett-salary 10.5 million
CC Sabathia-salary 23 million
Kevin Youkelis- salary 10 million
Mark Teixeira- salary 22.5 million
Hmm...Beckett tosses a 2 hitter and gets the opening day win against AL Pennant winning Tampa, while Sabathia got lambasted by celler dwellers the Baltimore Orioles, the worst team in our division!
Teixera goes 0-4 his his hometown of Baltimore, while Youkelis goes 2 for 4 for Boston.
One thing is clear:
Theo Epstein > Brian Cashman
The end!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Right asshole because one game tells what kind of season teams are going to have. If you are being serious than you have to be the stupidest person alive. I don't think that Theo > Brian at all. They are both very smart GM's. But comparing stats from one game has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Oh and btw I know enough Red Sox fans you don't need to worry about who I know and who I don't know. Keep showing how uneducated you are.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Why do you feel the need to explain the Yankees to me? I know tons more about the Yankees than you will ever know. Giambi wasn't a bust and most of the other guys you named wern't here to fill big roles. You obviously worry about the Yankees wayyyyyyyyyy too much, it's pretty sad that Red Sox fans have to hate the Yankees more than they like the Red Sox.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who gives a shit about attendance? A Red Sox fan has zero room to talk about bandwagoners when the Red Sox have one of the most bandwagon ridden fan bases in sports. Cashman has done a good job drafting and who cares about spending free agent money more wisely? Giambi was not a huge bust not at all, he averaged 30 home runs which is good and got on base a ton which is also good. Plus he hit into the shift alot so that took away from alot of his hits.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO Attendance IS what determines bandwagon fans! If fans support a losing team, they aren't bandwagoners! If they only show up when a team wins, they ARE bandwagoners! Do you even know what the term bandwagoner means? Seriously! LMAO You are embarrassing yourself!
Giambi was also a TERRIBLE fielder! Have you heard of a gold glove? Giambi won an aluminum foil glove! LMAO He never had a .600 slg% with NY! Ortiz has done it 4 out of 5 seasons in Boston-failing only last year when he was hurt!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Fact 4-Kevin Brown was another bust! He got shelled in Game 7 which, along with breaking his glove hand punching a wall, is all he will be remembered for as a Yankee!
Fact 5-CC Sabathia's American League ERA is not impressive at all! 3.83 is decent, but it's not worthy of being the highest paid pitcher in the game. Roy Halladay as I stated has far better numbers, and Haladay has to face Boston and NY every year! Usually the 2 toughest line ups in all of baseball!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
And Jeff Weaver wasn't a bust? 3.83 is a damn good ERA in the AL you idiot not decent its damn good. Good for Roy Halladay when did I ever say anything about Roy Halladay not having good numbers?
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
You traded Weaver for a 39 year old has been that got shelled in big games. Is Weaver a Cy Young candidate? hell no! But a pitcher with an ERA under 5 (which is what he is, can win more than 17 games for NY! Randy Johnson won 17 games WITH an ERA of 5.00! My point is you trade a younger pitcher who could have filled your 5th starter role for a washed up has been that contributed nothing! Thus, it was a BAD TRADE!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You can come in here and tell me what a bad investment Theo made the first time that Josh Beckett gets torched. It will just make you look like an even BIGGER boob, because unlike Sabathia, Beckett has won a World Series with Boston already-and makes less than half of what CC does! Beckett is 7-2 with a 2.9 postseason ERA. It was below 2 before he pitched hurt last year and was hit hard. Sabathia is 2-3 with a 7.92 ERA in the postseason! Another guy that CHOKES in the clutch! LMFAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who fucking cares how much money these guys make? You are an idiot to base how good a player is off how much money they make. Performing in the clutch doesn't mean the playoffs you idiot. Big deal he has a 7.92 era and a 2-3 record, that doesn't mean that he's going to go out there and pitch like shit in the future. Who cares if Beckett has won a WS with the Red Sox? What does that prove? Just about nothing is what it proves idiot.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
It proves it was a good move by the GM you asshat! That's the point! We are comparing decisions made by Cashman and Epstein, which anyone with half a brain could follow.
You say "who cares how much money someone makes" because you have no concept that we pay their salaries. Steinbrenner may sign the checks, but where do you think he gets his money? From the fans who pay 9 bucks for a beer and 5 bucks for a hotdog. Fans that pay $2484 for 1 premium seat ticket to a single game. Wow you're dumb!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
It's spelled SABATHIA, PETTITTE and TEIXEIRA. Learn how to spell you stupid uneducated Red Sox fag.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
lmao So trading for a player isnt considered spending money? hmm...so if Brian Cashman Xavier Nady and 2 pitching prospects for Manny Ramirez, and Nady makes 6 million a year and the prospects make 200,000 combined a year, you dont think that constitutes spending money when Manny makes 22.5 million? lol Your payroll is increasing, thus it is spending money! it doesn't matter if it's via free agency or trade, you assclown! LMFAO
You're such a fucking putz!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Mariano Rivera is the greatest postseason pitcher ever, not Curt Schilling.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Again...do you understand what apples and oranges means? It means that you can't compare a closer to a starter. Closers usually come in with a lead and only have to get 3 or 4 outs. Starters have to pitch out of jams constantly and make sure they get their team through at least 6 innings.
Closers always have lower ERA's and WHIP because they face far fewer hitters, so there is a smaller sampling you assclown! They are also coming in FRESH as opposed to starters who pitch tired most of the time!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Yup and I also understand that Mariano Rivera has pitched in 117.1 innings and Curt Schilling has pitched in 133.1 innings in the postseason so there isn't much of a small sample size there.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Again, you miss the point. Rivera's 117 innings were pitched when he was fresh out of the bullpen! He wasnt slaving through 2 on and nobody out jams in the 3rd inning...or trying to get through the 7th in the national league so they can pinch hit for him. ! K-Rod, who set the saves record, just signed for 3 years and 37 million. 12.3 mil a year. His teams starting ace makes 23 million a year, and signed his contract a year earlier!
So comparing a closer to a teams ace is boarderline retarded.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
No I don't miss the point. Mariano Rivera is the best postseason pitcher ever that's what the point is. Don't think I missed anything there.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Again, it's far easier to be handed the ball with a lead and only have to get 3 or 4 outs, never having to face the same hitters twice to allow them to make adjustments, than it is to face a guy 3 or 4 times in the same game after they've seen your stuff!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I don't think it's easier at all. If you have a lead you need to hold that lead so it is not easier.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Yes, it is easier dipshit! Why do you think the top closers in the league ALWAYS have a lower ERA than the best starters? Jonathan Pappelbon has never lost a playoff game, and has an ERA of 0.0 in the postseason! In 25 innings, he's never given up a single run you dickless assclown! LOL But nobody would say Paps is a better postseason pitcher than Schilling because he is a CLOSER and comes in fresh every appearance!
Suck on that, shitbag!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Offseason spending spree by the NY Yankees- 465 million dollars.
New Yankee Stadium- 1.5 billion dollars. Premium seating tickets to home opener-$2,684 each.
Watching Texeira go 0-4 and C.C.Sebathia get hit harder than a red headed step child-PRICELESS!
Great investments Brian Cashman! Did you buy oil when it was $147.00 a barrell too? LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Wow you are a retard. It was $423.5 million not $465 million, besides thats the Yankees problem not anyone elses. And the new Yankee Stadium was worth every penny of $1.5 billion. Not all premium tickets cost that much, Wow because one game means they suck lmfao. The Yankees are going to be fine, I'd worry about the Red Sox if I was you.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
no fuckface!
LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
They traded for those players you fucking idiot. They showed how well they spent today? It's one fucking game you stupid fucking idiot. One fucking game of 161, if you are going to judge a player over how they played in ONE FUCKING GAME than you have some serious mental problems and need help. You need help anyways but that's beside the point. I didn't pay anything for any of these players, my birth certificate doesn't say George Steinbrenner on it you stupid fuck.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
By the way, Schilling had a perfect winning percentage in 8 of 10 postseason series as a starter. PHENOMINAL!
His WHIP was .656 against NY in the World Series. Rivera's WHIP in the same series against an inferior National League line up was 1.105
Face it, you are trying to compare a closer to a starter because you're too embarrassed to talk about your starters, who were all on steroids! LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I'm not embarrassed to talk about anything. I don't care what Schilling's winning percentage was in 8 of 10 postseason starters. Big deal? Go look at Rivera's career postseason numbers and then talk to me. Until then stfu.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I know Rivera's postseason stats, donk-but what you have failed to acknowledge is that all a closer does is come in for 3 or 4 outs, and not have to throw over 100 pitches. Rivera is the best closer in postseason history...but closers don't have to deal with the fatigue factor as often as starters. Pedro Martinez made a relief appearances for Boston in 1999 because out bull pen was depleted. Not only did he pitch 8 scoreless innings in his start, he pitched 2 perfect relief innings.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I don't care. I have already explained that Rivera has only pitched in 16 fewer innings in the postseason than Schilling. There have been plenty of times where Rivera has pitched multiple innings.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
You still dont get it! LMAO The only reason Rivera is even close to Schilling in innings pitched is because relievers are available every night. Starters go every 4 games in the postseason. Again, Rivera is not pitching fatigued. If he goes 2 innings, he gets the following day off! Again, Closers do not face the same hitters multiple times in a game. Thats a HUGE difference, and if you cant comprehend that, then you know nothing about baseball.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Oh and just for reference. A-Rod is within 15 points for OBP in each of those stats with David Ortiz. David Ortiz isn't that much better at avoiding outs in clutch sitatuions compared to A-Rod.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
David Ortiz is the all time leading leader in walk off hits in major league playoff history. Manny Ramirez is the all-time playoff Homerun leader. Both are exponentially better in the clutch than A-Roid. 47 RBI for Papi 17 RBI for A-Rod. Now Papi has more at bats, but Papi is averaging an RBI for every 5 at bats. A-Rod is averaging 1 RBI every 8 at bats! That's night and fucking day! You've had A-Rod for 5 years and what have the Spanks won? Nothing! Actions speak louder than words!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Go ahead and keep telling me what's going to happen in the future.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Do you know why A-Rod's nickname is "The Cooler" around the league? Use google and look it up yourself!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
I have never heard him called "The Cooler" so I don't believe this one either. I posted stats that prove that A-Rod is a good hitter in the clutch. Where are your stats saying he's not a good clutch hitter? Prove me wrong. You can't.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I already proved it! His career postseason RBI total is 17! The playoffs are as clutch as it gets! Johnny Damon has more career postseason RBI than Gay Rod, and he's a fucking leadoff hitter who comes up with the bases EMPTY! He has the same amount of postseason HR's and has a batting average within 1 point! He has 11 more strike outs than Johnny Damon in fewer at bats! He's a choker, give it up you shiftless cunt! LOL
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are 100% wrong. I provided A-Rod's clutch stats for his entire career. Then you want to use the playoffs to try to win this argument. Playoffs aren't the only clutch stats and no the playoffs aren't as clutch as it gets. Oh but you said Jeter has been our leadoff hitter for years, now it's Johnny Damon, You are quite confused aren't ya? No A-Rod isn't a choker in the clutch, I've already proved you wrong and now your crying about it. Fuck off asshole.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Come on BlowSuxnation1972 tell me you fucking lowlife scumbag.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Oh and btw Lowrie played 49 games at SS that isn't even close to half the year. I think it's hillarous how you use such a small sample size to try to win this argument and asking who on NY has career postseason stats like Crisp's stats in ONE series. Crisp's career postseason batting average is .281; A-Rod's is .279 so keep telling me how good Crisp is just because of what he did in one series you fucking ignorant coward.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Crisp is a defensive specialist, and you're proud of the fact that the highest paid player in basebal history, who hapens to be an admited cheater, has a LOWER carer postseason bating average than a guy that makes about a third of his salary? LOL
Lowrie played more than half the year with Boston, but had to play 3rd base nearly half the time when Lowell was injured. Boston started a rookie 94 games on the left side of the infield. Does that make in any les impresive? LOL
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
lmao @ defensive specialist the Red Sox traded for Crisp to replace Damon not be a defensive specialist.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO Um, dipshit, he often would move from third to short depending on who was pinch hitting late in the game! Sometimes he was pulled, other times, Alex Cora was, and he moved from 3rd to short. He was a rookie utility player filling in, and had an amazing series against the Angels-far better than any A-Rod has had!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who gives a shit? Not me.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Posada alternated with Robin Ventura hitting 5th or 6th. Joe T. didnt have a set line up and would move around hitters all of the time you fucking jackass.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You have got to be the most uneducated person in here. It cracks me up how you think you know so much about the Yankees when really you don't know shit about the Yankees. Keep trying to tell me that A-Rod has been our 3 hitter when Abreu has been for the last 2 seasons and before that Sheffield was. After Sheffield got hurt in 06 Giambi was our 3 hitter. You don't know shit about the Yankees. Stop talking about things that you don't know shit about.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Yo bosoxnation asshole don't be writing me messages and then blocking me from replying to them scumbag. As far as Jeter taking steroids so what if a relief pitcher that appeared in awhole 33 games in 1999 says he took them. That doesn't make it true and quite frankly Jeter's name wasn't mentioned in the bullshit Mitchell Report. I have no reason to believe anything you say or anything Dan Naulty says. Hell I don't even remember Dan Naulty.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I didn't block you! My profile is set to friend lock, and thats why you couldnt reply. I dont block people when Im having a debate, especially when I am fucking destroying them!
Dan Naulty is getting his PHD from Trinity college and devoted his life to God. You can disbelieve what I say because Im a Boston fan, and you can say that is my motive-hating the Yankees-but what is Dan Naulty's motive? He was Jeter's friend. He feels if EVERYONE comes forward who did it, baseball will be better off!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You haven't destroyed anybody. I don't care about Dan Naulty or anything he has to say.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Its ok Booster! I know I crushed your hopes and dreams.....and the Yankees will crush them further when they choke again this year!
But as you know, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson admitted to using steroids last week before his premier Race to Witch Mountain, so it's only a matter of time before the Yankees sign him! LMAO
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Who's Booster? I think it's funny how Boston fans all of the sudden think that their team is so unbeatable. The Yankees won 89 games last year and were torched with injuries, we lost Wang for half the year, we lost Posada and Matsui for most of the year and still won 89 games. Let's see how many wins the Red Sox have if three of their key players go down with injuries. I hope the other 103 players are named and one of them is David Ortiz, that would be awesome.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Boston had to deal with just as many injuries as NY last year! Beckett, our best pitcher, was on the DL 3 times and was hurt going into the stretch run. He was Useless after July! Manny, our best hitter, was traded! Lowell couldn't even play in the Tampa series because of a torn labrum! Papi? Missed 2+ months with a wrist injury! Lugo? Missed half the season, and a rookie played the rest of the year! JD Drew? out 53 games due to injury! With NY's 222 million payroll, your backups should step in!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
The difference between Boston and NY last year was when a NY player was injured, nobody stepped up. When a Red Sock was injured, guys like Lester, Lowrie, Crisp, and Kotsay stepped up. They weren't everyday players, but they became everyday players when Boston needed them! NY's bench CHOKED!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Crisp had an OPS+ of 93; Lowrie an OPS+ of 90; Kotsay an OPS+ of 62 so that just proves how wrong you are. Yeah the Yankees were suppose to contend with Sidney Ponson and Darrell Rasner at the backend of their rotation. Learn what your talking about before talking shit. You can't back anything up.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
LMAO Crisp stepped up in the playoffs, you assclown! When they needed him in the playoffs, he batted .417 with an OB% over .520, assclown! Who on NY has career postseason numbers even close to that? NOBODY! LOL
Lowrie was a rookie with NO CAREER STARTS going into the season, and ended up playing half the year at the most critical defensive position in the game! He batted .364 in the Anaheim series, with an OB% of .462! A-Rod would trade his left nut for those playoff numbers! Who's wrong? LOL
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Good for him I don't care. Those aren't Crisp's career postseason numbers you idiot, who on NY has only been in one playoff series to have those numbers? I don't think A-Rod would trade anything with Lowrie. Big deal he hit .364 in 11 at bats, how did he do against the Rays? He hit .111. Your wrong. Still lmao @ you thinking that one playoff series = career postseason numbers. Fuck off you don't know shit.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
A-Rod has had 147 career at bats in the postseason. He is a .306 career hitter. A-Rod isn't our 3rd hitter, Teixeira is. Again those are a small sample size, Ortiz is a career .287 hitter with a .382 OBP. Keep using small sample sizes to compare players though it's quite amusing.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
A Rod has been your 3 hitter for years! Tex may stay there when A-Rod is back, but when those post season numbers were put up, Crisp was a 9 hitter who had 1 game leading off, and A-Roid was a 3 hitter!
Now as far as "small sample sizes," great players are defined by what they do in clutch situations-i.e. playoffs, not in meaningless situations. A-Rod chokes in the clutch, and it's well documented!
17 RBI in 147 AB! That's awful! He loses his power as well, hitting 1 HR for every 21 ABs.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are an idiot. A-Rod has been our 3 hitter 94 times over the last 5 seasons. He isn't our 3 hitter, he's our cleanup hitter. Abreu had been our 3 hitter for the last 2 and a half years and before that Sheffield was our 3 hitter. Shows how little you know about the Yankees.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
your line up changes from game to game, dipshit.
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
You are wrong. A-Rod has hit 3rd 94 times (72 of those were the first three months of the 2004 season). Jeter has leadoff 9 times since we signed Damon and all 9 times were in 2008. Giambi didn't play for the Yankees in 2000 and yes he was an everyday player last year he played in 145 games. Soriano was our leadoff hitter in 2002, Jeter hit leadoff 10 times in 2002, you are right on Giambi hitting 3rd or 4th in 2002 tho. Don't try explaining Yankees baseball to me.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
I've forgotton more about baseball than you'll EVER know. Your line up changes all the time! The Red Sox consistantly had the same 3 and 4 hitter every game they were healthy for 5 and a half years. The Yankees did not have that type of consistancy.
Dont try to explaiun baseball to you? LMAO You have to use google to look up how many games each player played where! lol Then you act like you dont need things explained to you? Kid, when you dont have to look up players stats online, let me know!

AaronTG1990 2 years ago
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Go ahead and look up his batting average than because you are way off.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
The Giants and Jets might not play in the state of NY but they certainly play in the NYC metro area. Btw a new baseball stadium requires alot less room then a football stadium since most football stadium's are not in the downtown area of the city and require lots of parking. There is no room for a football stadium in NYC.

Roid users that won rings:
Ricky Bones, Roger Clemens, Jose Canseco, Jason Grimsley, Glenallen Hill, Darren Holmes, David Justice, Chuck Knoblauch, Daniel Naulty, Denny Neagle, Andy Pettitte, Mike Stanton
Naulty named Jeter in last years Sporting News, April edition. (2008)Google it & read the entire article yourself!
Others who used and didnt win a ring include A-Roid, Sheffield, Velarde, Villone, Rondell White,Todd Williams, Hal Morris, Manzanillo, Bobby Estalella, Giambi &Kevin Brown!
BoSoxnation1972 2 years ago
Sheffield and Brown both have a ring (1997 Marlins). I don't care about the Mitchell Report anyways because I think the Mitchell Report was a bunch of bullshit, it's pretty sad when MLB had to hire a guy with connections to a MLB team to do that report.
AaronTG1990 2 years ago
Oh ok...so you were saying Mitchel was on a witchunt against the Yankees because he was loosely associated with the Red Sox? He holda a consulting position as director! Hell, he was on the board of the Florida Marlins for Christ's sake-yet nobody brings that up. He was Chairman of the board of Walt Disney! Would that preclude him from investigating unsafe rides at another theme park like 6 flags? LOL
Perhaps you should study the relationship before regurgitating crap you hear on NY radio!
