  • A follow-up comment: Mama's Little Pirate had what I consider cannabalism in it. But it was never banned. I bet if the pirate were black, that short would have suffered the same fate as Borneo.

  • bill cosbys a racist bastard

  • can bill cosby please die - so he can relinquish rights, and everyone can watch the little rascals again - "racist bastard"

  • can bill cosby please go kill himself - so he can relinquish rights, and everyone can watch the little rascals again - "racist bastard"

  • This stuff was racist when they made it. Lots of jokes, like Stymie's feet turning around, was a stock prop when portraying black people. We were dumb, lazy, and quick to frighten. Hal Roach gave his black actors better characterization than many film producers of his day, but he still could not depart from that "laughin at the coons" mindset that permeated Hollywood.

Some cartoonist of this area (the 30's) eventually moved away from this type of humor seeing how destructive it was.

  • Come on, people - lighten up. This is some funny stuff! I love it when Spanky's pop thinks the actual Uncle George is upstairs and he goes up there to kick his butt - WRONG! And the combination of innocence and fear in Spanky's face while he's talking to "Uncle George" is absolutely priceless!

  • @philipatoz

Yes Philip it's funny but at what cost?

The Negro watching this is bound to feel hurt.

    That's the cost.

I'm not willing to pay that price. The feelings of another person.

  • Does anyone have the episode when Alfalfa drinks a mixture that causes his stomach to grow and when he falls, he burps it out which takes out a wall.

  • To imply all this stereotyping is downright foolish! I saw his as a kid and I don't remember running away in fear from my black friends, their parents, black teachers in my school and other blacks who lived in and around my neighborhood and when I did meet some Blacks from other parts of the world,I wasn't 'surprised' that they were 'civiliized'!

  • Racism?..i belong to a world of warcraft guilld called Yum Yum eat em up..this is our roots..no pun intended:)

  • bill cosby bought alot of watermellon so he could eat it while watching the gorilla ape chase the poor inocent rascals.

  • The man who played George was an African American professional boxer, who sadly because of the times could only get these types of roles. The character he plays is Aboriginal who happens to be simple minded and likes candy. This is never shown on TV anymore because it's "politically incorrect". Lighten up, America, this is funny stuff. I could have did without the added soundtrack, though.

  • I've seen this episode before!

  • It would have been just as funny if some big fat white guy was chasing everyone going "yum, yum, eatem up". When we were kids, we never saw the racism, just the comedy. And if these were so racist, how come Steimey, Buckwheat and Farina all played with white kids? And Steimey was portrayed as one of the smarter ones and often the voice of reason. Grant it there were some 'negative' stereotypes, but all in all, it was comedy at its best.

  • Those films were hilarious, and this was comedy, anything goes! If anyone is offended, dont watch them!

  • You cannot judge people of the '20s and '30s by standards of today. PERIOD. History is History, these were great films.

  • bill cosby bought all the rights to alot of these little rascals episodes becaus of the racism all over. This one about the cannibal, the other where stymee wipes his brow and throws the sweaqt onto the refrigerator but his sweat is colored black!!!

  • bill cosby did not buy the rights..do some checking before you post BS like that.

  • bill did not buy the rights..do some checking before posting things you no nothing about

  • Leave all your racist garbage out of this! To date this is a video that all people of all ages love to watch over and over again. Dpercent2600 good job, very funny.

  • YES. THIS. XD

  • Spanky is sooo cute here, he reminds me of my brother when he was a young one...lol

I like where he says,"YUM YUM EAT 'EM UP"

  • it`s good fun..i grew up watchin this stuff..along with soupy sales..amos and andy...and even enjoying little black sambo..and i have no hatetred for blacks..reds..yellows..plaids..pocka dots even..and i love the little rascals..OH MISS CRABTREE THERE~S SOMETHING HEAVY ON MY HEART!!!

  • Oh chubsie obsie, you're going to feel the weight of something heavy on your nose!

  • theres going to be something VERY HEAVY on you're nose!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • It's not really racist, 'cause Stymie's afraid of the wildman, too!

  • Always with the answer .2 Thumbs up my eye...SOME.... but not me , would say it's racist because Stymie has been trained to be afraid of his own. There's ALWAYS two was to look at it.sometimes 3 or4 ways.Kinda like a Black who WON"T date their own kind. Not because of their environment. But because of a mental train exercise we've all been a victim to.Like thinking white women age better than black women .When the truth is,there is more than 1 TinaTurner and plenty of Brigette Nielson's around

  • I didn't know that Stymie was from Borneo?? I thought he was American *sarcasm* Idiot.. i think you're the racist here

  • @kaadauwgg ??

  • THis was my official intro to the series, back in 1970 & TV syndicators were still showing the old Monogram prints......then I had to do without this episode for a good 17 years when the King World "edited" prints took over the airwaves....couldn't see it until the home videos came out.

This movie's not racist, because Stymie's afraid of the wildman too, just like the other kids!

  • I saw this episode about 50 years ago. At point I recall Spanky giving "Uncle George" what must have been a 2 foot long salami or bologna, which George proceeded to devour. Amazing.

"Yum yum, eat 'em up" indeed ...

  • "i don't know what this is, but let's see ya drink it"

*hands him a gallon of wine

  • this wasn't racist, the rascals were way ahead of their time in whites and blacks being friends. this was the 30's for christ sake. political correctness has cost this country it's sense of humor.

  • But what we've lost in belly laugh's, we've gained in asterisk's!

  • @everywherechainsaw Damn right. Nothing but censorship.

  • I haven't seen this in about thirty years, loved it when I was a kid. We were so damn innocent at one time. Yeah, so it does seem a little insensitive and racist today but at the same time are we to stand by and allow the ignorance of out past to be edited and rewritten by political correctness.

I often tell young friends of mine (of all races) about this episode of Little Rascals, I am glad to be able to access it here.

  • i promised i'd punch that mans head, and I'm gonna!

  • there was no Racist Bullshit back then !

  • yum, yum, eaatem up!

  • A great classic. My favorite rascals episode!

  • funny funny shit,good job!

  • They said this episode was racist and politically incorrect. I own it on DVD and I see nothing distasteful or disrespectful. The kids mistake him for their Uncle George because their mother said he was the "black sheep" of the family. Then Stymie eyes the wildman and says he looks like a "gorilla ape". It's all in fun and there are no ethnic put-downs to be seen or heard.

  • Sad that the Politically Correct crowd can dictate what we see now. Anniversary Trouble, When the Wind Blows, & Little Sinners have suffered the same fate. It has also happened with some of the old Sanford & Son episodes on TVLand. I mean, can't people laugh at anything anymore? What would Redd Foxx say if he came back today? Someone would get "one across the lip."

  • u wouldnt think it was racist. your name is weiss

  • lmfao luke.

  • UPLOAD WHOLE EPISODE

  • I've seen this before.

  • Great Video! this was from The Little Rascal series

  • Thank you for a great tribute to Uncle George, Stymie, and Spanky! Many may consider "The Kid From Borneo" to be racist and politically incorrect, but it is still the funniest and most memorable of the entire Our Gang series.

  • its funny love it

  • This is my favorite episode. Love the dreads!!!

  • yum yum eat'em up
